I've been kind of fighting with this one for the last few days. Not because it isn't well diserved, but what do you say about Icon's that hasn't already been said, isn't already known? In keeping with tradition, something needs to be said, so here we go.

Steele Daniels Louis & Hall is a more recent band with not so recent members. It is comprised of John Michael Steele (The Riders), Jack Daniels (The Riders), Mike Louis (The Verdict), & Rikki Dee Hall (The VooDoo Hawks). These are all front men of some of the most well known musical Icon bands in Colorado Springs. Just as an example, The Riders have been making music here for over a quarter century.

The combination of talent, skill, and a mastery of their craft that only comes with amount of time these men have been on stage has pushed SDLH to the forefront of the music community in Colorado Springs. Unbeatable harmonies, perfect time, and some of the best solo guitarists in their genre is the rock on which this band leans.

The first experience I had with SDLH was at the old Dewy's on Centennial. I had the pleasure of watching the band perform for the first two sets and was extremely impressed with their musical selection. Their ability to pull what seemed random compilations of some of the most well known music of the last century into a well organized production was impressive enough. To top that off the delivery was put together to give the audience the feeling of an accoustic set from bands like The Eagles and Zeppelin. ...........................
