these are random nerdy things i'd like to see someday but know they will never happen

in no particular order

1) a Shadow movie with Crispin Glover as the Shadow
2) a Dark Knight Returns animated movie with Alec Baldwin as the voice of Batman
3) Shudder to Think-Pony Express Record special edition put out by Sony/Legacy
4) a Hawkman mini-series done by the Kubert Family
5) Beach Boys t-shirts, and not some lame shit with surf boards.  Actually having a picture of the band and logo with good design.
6) a redesign and relaunch of the Peacemaker.  I'm mean, come on we've been in political strife in the last 8 years.  You'd think a comic with the tag line, "He loves peace so much he's willing to fight for it!" , would make a great comic with social commentary. 
7) a Superman and Batman family team up.  It's kinda happened in the past, but I want actual team ups. Superman and Batman, Robin and Superboy, Nightwing and Steel, Supergirl and Batgirl, Azreal and the Eradicator, Alfred and Commissioner Gordon with Perry White and Jimmy Olson.
9) an evil version of the Avengers.  I don't remember all the Avengers greatest enemies ever teaming up.  Like the Red Skull, the Mandarinand Loki working together to defeat the Avengers
10) the reverse JLA,  Bizzaro, Man-Bat, Zoom, Sinestro, Ocean Master, and others I can't think of off hand battling the Justice League of America.
11) a proper final season of Coupling

yeah that's all I can think of off hand.

This is my Nightwing redesign. I took elements from the George Perez and Tom Grumment designs and incorporated them together.




I’ve been throwing ideas around with Avi on how he should look. Like incorporating the acrobat elements back in, and making the costume pop a little with 3 colors. Basically Nightwing is Silver-Age Batman. He should go around and have fantastic adventures and be a well rounded individual, not Batman-Lite.

Jim Mooney passed away.
Jim was best known for being the penciler of Supergirl during the silver age. After he left DC he moved on to Marvel where he inked a long run on Spider-Man.

I first met Jim in the late ’90s at a comic con. It was one of the first times I got a table space in the artist alley. I was seated next to him and we chatted a little and he told me stories from back in the day. I bought a page from him. It was from a Suprema story that Alan Moore wrote. It’s one of my prized possessions.
