Thanks to everyone that came out to our show last night at RES-TV.  I hope you all enjoyed witnessing the magic of filmmaking firsthand.  I know we did.  There is nothing quite as excilerating as the combination of Rock & Roll and white balancing a camera to a blank sheet of computer paper.

We had a blast and we can't thank RES-TV enough for letting us play.  We hope they play it late at night and on loop so people can party till dawn with Kazai Rex.

As soon as we know when it will air we will let you guys know so that you can catch it along with our RES-TV exclusive interview (Well, exclusive until someone else asks us to do an interview).

Until then, come see us on May 7 at the Silverlake Lounge.  It should prove to be a whale of a good time.

Peace,
-Kazai Rex

Hey guys,

Sorry for the extreme lapse in our keeping up with this myspace page.  I promise that will change.  Just a quick update on what's going on in the world of Kazai Rex.

Currently we are working on our full length album which, day by day, is sounding better and better.  Expect that to be ready around the beginning of summer.

Also, expect a bunch of new shows.  Thanks to all those people who came and saw us at the Run/Walk.  We are sorry for the shortened set time, but we had fun none the less.  We'll keep you informed about all the new shows coming up.

Thanks a lot, guys and girls.  Have an awesome day.

That's right, this time next month all of our KzR family will be back together. Which means shows, antics, noise complaints, and even more antics. Be prepared.

Also, we've got good news: we're back in the studio! Or rather, John, Dominick, and Langa layed down their tracks to a whole bunch of new songs and, once Stacey and Austin are back and get their stuff on tape, we've got a boatload of new material to unleash upon the unwitting public. What will become of it, you ask? The answer: no idea. We may lock it in a vault until we all die or disavow each other, and then sell it for a whole bunch of money. That's right. We'd go there.

But anyway: in the near future, look for new shows, some website updates and improvements, and a general increase in awesomeness in the West L.A. area. Love love love.

Well, we just finished our last show of the year at the James Buchanan Art & Music Night, which went off without a hitch. Most of us won't be in LA over the summer and Stacey and Austin will be studying abroad during fall quarter, so it'll be January before the KzR action truly heats up again. But that time will not go to waste; we'll be lining up gigs, writing new songs, talking up KzR around the watercooler, hopefully organizing events, and possibly preparing to record some more of our new material.

In the near future we also plan to add a bunch of new pictures and videos to our website, as well as a more efficient merch section, a forum, and perhaps even a joint effort with Paper Stereo, Dominick's music blog. Keep the eyes open. A heartfelt thanks to the people that have shared the last year and a half with us. This is only just the beginning.

(Also, we added a new track. It's a lengthy jam from our last practice and the audio isn't great, but we liked it enough to add it. Enjoy.)

Hey Everyone--

Life's been busy for Kazai Rex and is only going to get busier.

Our shows have been going really well and we all want to express our eternal gratitude for those of you who've showed up and supported us--it really means the world to us.

Also, we were mentioned in the L.A. Times last Thursday as part of a story on college bands. Check out the article here.

We're going into the studio this Sunday to record what will hopefully be enough songs for an EP--we're really excited to get some of our new material down, and we'll keep you updated on our progress.

Anyway, we just wanted to let you all know what was up in the world of Kazai Rex and to thank you all for being the bee's knees.

Love,
KZR

P.S. On a somewhat, but not entirely, unrelated note, check out paperstereo.blogspot.com. It's an online music blog that four of our band members (everyone but Langa, basically) write for. Thankssss.
