Well, after 4 years of toil, the first book is complete and published.  You can order one from any of the major online book sellers.  just do a search for "Star Span"  and look for the the book cover with the Starling badge.  I'm going to be adding more excerpts from the book sometime next month.  Please tell all your friends about the book and spread the word.

Well after several reviews the book has finally made it to the final stage.  hopefully i will have a picture of the book cover to display.  I'll post it and update the blog as soon as i get a final picture to post.

well, Star Span - Birth of the light bringer is finaly finished and has been accepted by Publish America for print.  right now they are reviewing and editing the book for print.  once that is finished we will colaborate on the book cover and hopefully within 6 months or so the final print will be out for sale.  I've put over 4 years into this book and after allowing a few friends to read it, they told me to publish it RIGHT NOW.  So i contacted the publisher and here we are, waiting for the final product.  I am currently working on book two which will open up a complete Goth Mneph story line which will reveal alot of history on all the characters.  But for now, we'll all have to wait and see how well Star Span - Birth of the light bringer does.

I hope everyone enjoys the excerpts I have on this site and if I get a good responce i'll release a few more.

Tahny looked at the structure that activates the door and timer, great, we only have 5 minutes to get in and back out before the door closes for a 3 month restart period.
The two quickly made their way into the lower levels while keeping track of their time. Tahny followed the map on the data card and made each turn swiftly and without hesitation. They finally made it to the holo-chamber.
They cautiously walked up to the opening and saw 5 men trying to get the spectacle. One man had markings on his outfit that made him look like he may be the leader.
The leader began barking orders at the other four who moved quickly and precisely with out question. After 4 or 5 seconds of shuffling around the holograms reappeared and the men each reached out for what would be the actual relic. The leader grew more and more angry with each failed attempt. Jakkenue and Tahny stood and watched as the five men reordered themselves and try again. Tahny kept watching for a distinction of the real from the simulated. She noticed one didnt flicker like the rest and watched for it to materialize again. She then noticed it would move five spaces one direction, then 10 spaces to the right of the previous, then 5 spaces back.
Tahny nudged Jakkenue on the arm, I think I have the pattern and I know which one it is but Ill need you to make a distraction in three more turns.
Tahny guessed that the artifact would be three spaces in front of her on the third turn and waited. Two turns left. One. Now Jakke, Jakkenue shot two blasts at the ceiling causing some rocks to fall and causing the men to look. Tahny leaped forward and rolled grabbing the spectacle and then spun around and started running. The five men began firing and chasing her but were slowed down by Jakkenue firing at them.
Tahny sped passed Jakkenue, common, we only have about 1 minute to get out of here.
Jakkenue shot three more blasts and then turned to follow Tahny, hey arent we suppose to go left here?
Tahny looked at her data card and then back at Jakkenue, your going to have to trust me, the cave tunnels have switched.
The men were leaving the holo-chamber and were quickly being left behind by the two starlings. Tahny reached the out side followed closely by Jakkenue. Jakkenue grabbed a large statue and picked it up and shoved it into the doorway before is closed all the way.
Tahny was still running and looked back, what are you doing Jakke, we got to get out of here.
Jakkenue started running toward the ship, Im not going to let even the least of these creatures die if I can help it.
After a hectic dash to the Talon the two strapped in and quickly left the planets surface and began planning their next retrieval.




Wreins image appeared in front of Jaron, who was in a meditative posture, do you know who I am?
Jaron didnt move or open his eyes, dont know, dont care. An electrical surge ran through the room sending pain through out Jarons body.

Thats impossible, Goth Miether died a long time ago on the planet Grath during the Grathion liberation war.
The image disappeared and the door opened revealing Wrien the Tharsian and several of his body guards. Taller than Jaron by half a foot his slender frame looked anemic compared to Jarons. The small thorns on his face moved in a sweeping motion as he spoke, Now do I look familiar?
No, but your much uglier in person. Another charge was sent through him. Will you stop with the electrical charges already, its starting to get on my nerves.
Wrien stared at Jaron for a long time. Your but a mere journeyman, where is your sage?
For me to know and for you to find out.
I will.
Wrien stepped back and motioned his body guards forward. They each held two Banta sticks, electrical rods used by the Android Police Force, in their hands. As they were a few feet away from Jaron he spun around on the floor tripping one but the second jumped in time to avoid his feet. As the second one came down he brought both of his rods down on to Jaron who met them with his arms only to be jolted by the electrical shock. He swiftly kicked the guard away and kicked himself to his feet. A third guard rushed toward him and he jumped, completing a flip with a half twist landing behind the creature and began pushing him into the wall. The impact of the creature hitting the wall caused him to drop his Banta sticks and slump to the floor motionless. Jaron quickly picked up the stick and spun around just as the other two guards were beginning to strike. He blocked one but the other swung low and hit him in the abdomen causing him to double over and perform a front roll. As he stood up he hit both of the guards on the back of the head making them to loose balance. He spun around and jump kicked one into the wall and grabbed the other and threw him to the ground and jumped on him crushing his ribs. He jumped again performing a back flip and landed feet spread ready for the last standing guard to attack. The guard looked passed Jaron and dropped his arms to his side and deactivated his Banta sticks. Jaron cautiously turned and saw Wrein standing in the door way.
Wrien began slowly clapping, impressive, apparently you didnt learn your fighting style from the academy. You will be one to bet on during our next arena melee.
Jaron poised into his fighting stance, and Im going to enter this contest because?
Wrien said nothing in return, he motioned his guards to rejoin him at his side. He then used his telekinetic ability to pull the Banta sticks from Jarons hands, turned, and walked away allowing the door to close be hind him.
Jaron sat down and entered his meditative posture contemplating the event that just happened.





Tzi finished the loading and pressed the panel to close the door. As the door was near closing, 5 figures slipped in through the two foot opening and hid in the shadows only revealing outlines in the darkness. Tzi walked to the vertical lift and touched the panel to go to the bridge. Once on the bridge, Blarn had Tzi punch in the next coordinates for the delivery of the container and then Blarn went to the cargo hold to examine the container. He went around the container making sure the holding devices were placed properly, looks like Tzi has done this before, nice and secure. Just as he finished his sentence the intruder alarm went off. Not again, twice in one passage is just way too much. Tzi and Bennik were already on their way down when they heard fighting near the new container. Blarn was holding his own until one of the dark dressed beings mist and became a vapor. Tzi reached the fray before Bennik and began fighting along side Blarn. One by one the four beings began to mist to and from a vapor form as they fought the three defenders of the ship.
Bennik swung his hand at one but went right through him as he mist to avoid the contact, this is impossible, we cant win this way, we cant even fight them.
Tzi, using the solar wind blast, jumped high in the air to try to get their attention but was met by one of the beings as it misted and floated up and turned solid to hit him and then misted again to glide to the ground. What are these things?
Blarn pulled out his blaster and adjusted the settings, theyre Miasmas, they have ghosting properties. There is only one way to slow them down. He fired a blast from his weapon that created a bright light that caused all of them to solidify for a few seconds, but long enough for each of them to get a few good swings in. Son, Tzi, set your blasters to high stun, the bright light will cause them to solidify for a moment.
Bennik began setting his blaster but Tzi put his blaster away and held out his hand. Tzi, what are you doing?
Tzi created a bright light from his hand and forced it toward two Miasmas that were coming at him, I discovered this ability when I was on Lyrin-key. The light solidified the two Miasmas then Tzi used a solar wind blast to push the two into a container ten feet back causing them to slump to the ground. Another Miasma mist and began floating toward Tzi. Bennik shot the Miasma with a light blast and solidified it and Tzi jumped at him and kick him to the ground. The fourth Miasma mist and disappeared into a container. Blarn began opening the container when another solidified and hit him from behind knocking him unconscious. Bennik saw what happened and shot the Miasma with a light blast but this one was unaffected by the light.
Tzi, that one didnt solidify and hes got dad.
Tzi spun around and concentrated and created a brilliant light that caused Bennik to shield his eyes, again not affecting the Miasma. Tzi threw another light sphere at him and noticed that the light was absorbed by a dark prism hanging around the Miasmas neck. Hes got something that is absorbing the light. Tzi ran toward the Miasma to get a closer shot at him. Being about 5 feet away he shot him once more with a more bright light than ever before. The dark prism absorbed the light and began pulling Tzi toward it. Tzi lost balance and was pulled toward the prism. Darkness surrounded Tzi as well as an immense pressure causing him to go unconscious.


I hope these three excerpts have grabbed your curiosity.  the final book will be finished in 2008.  book two is in the works.
