I'm feeling facebook more these days, honestly. Haven't signed onto myspace in over a month and a half. Since then I've been to Swaziland, Botswana, South Africa, Germany, DC, Orlando, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Oakland, Tennessee...

Current mood:READY TO GO!
SO...Kal Penn and I...
Yesterday, went out for the campaign in OHio. Today, was in Michigan. While in Michigan for one day, we made 8 stops. 6 colleges, 1 radio station, and one "barackstars" event. Amazing! Over 80 young people, all high school, jr high age...making phone calls, registering people. NON OF THEM ARE ABLE TO VOTE! However, they know that one day they will have to inherent a country shaped by the leaders elected TODAY! Was so moved by their passion.
Having trouble uploading pics but will get em up soon...
Waking up in 4hrs to jump on a plane to DC. Heading to Virginia, tomorrow! Can't wait. Kal is leaving to go back to shoot "House" for a few days...I'm meeting up with Marlon Wayans...together we will hit up local spots like UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA, UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, VIRGINIA STATE UNIVERSITY...

Current mood:FIRED UP
My people,
Just landed from Denver. Still trying to come down from the high I was on while there. I want to put my feelings into words; however, I'm still searching for the words to properly express what I witnessed. Spent my mornings helping either the DNC or the Congressional Black Caucus, my afternoons watching the speeches at Pepsi delivered by DNC leaders, nights at random parties. I was fortunate to witness much of what goes into putting something so massive on successfully.
It might take me a beat to digest this experience. In the meantime...chk out some pics from the week I spent there in my pic album, " Dem Convention".

I MUST SAY...I WANT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FACT THAT THERE'S AT LEAST 8 MIL UNREGISTERED AFRICAN AMERICANS IN THIS NATION...our people gotta get on it! We must hassle our neighbors to register each other. It's not a game.

I WISH...haha I saw my lady in concert @ the Key Club in Los Angeles, fri night...wowsers. She ripped it, flipped it, smacked it, sopped it down, rubbed it... then picked it up again... Had us in the palm of her hand from the moment she claimed the stage. Voice soars live...she seems to be having so much dayum fun! It's contagious. AND girl is heelarious in between songs while she tells us of the triumphs and tribulations that inspired each song she sings... Thru her beautiful accent, she says, "Sex in the rain is fantastic" before telling a tale of a man who once said he didn't know if she was his "girlfriend, f*ck buddy, or bitch".... she nonchalantly responded, "if it looks like it, smells like it... it is what it is..." as the intro to Pretend comes in... Much respect to her band and singers. I might begin a campaign for her to let me join the backup singers in her band. The amount of fun they have is criminal !!!! I wish they woulda let cameras in! My iPhone didn't do it justice. If you have to crawl to see her live- DO IT!!!!

It's what I need, right now; for, this project demands me to explore gifts that lie inside of me, bringing me joy that I rarely share with anyone...
