93 DAYS TO GO: MORE LEGENDS AND NEWCOMERS ADDED TO DOWNLOAD 2007
BUY DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL TICKETS

The countdown continues to the first major festival of the season and with 93 days to go Download Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of seven more bands ranging from legendary status to the cream of the new breed.

EVANESCENCE make their 2nd appearance at this years Festival. Amy Lee's beautiful melodies, compelling lyrics, poignant piano and stunning vocals, fused with Terry Balsamo's urgent, yet intricate guitar, form a seamless, ethereal mixture that perfectly channels Evanescence's hard rock and classical sensibilities.

As one of the most influential bands of the '80s, MOTLEY CRUE return to Donington Park for the third time, although this will be the first time for 17 years. The original line of Nikki Six, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee are guaranteed to bring the flamboyance and raw power to the stage that has won them so many fans over the years.

Tipped for big things in 2007, GALLOWS have captured the imaginations of rock/indie critics alike, never straying from their hardcore roots. Bassist Stuart Dili-Ross enthused "Playing Download is a really big deal for us! Download and Donington are like legendary historical events and its insane to be involved, rather than just going and partying and watching bands like we were a couple of years ago. Cant f**ing wait".

This will be 30 SECONDS TO MARS' Donington debut. Jared Leto (vocals and guitar) and his brother, Shannon, set up the band as a small family project, things started rolling pretty quickly and before they knew it there was a massive demand for their self-titled debut album. Their second album, A Beautiful Lie, debuted in the US Billboard chart top 40 and has sold around a million copies.

ENTER SHIKARI made their Download festival debut in 2006. Tipped by the BBC as 'The sound of 2007', and 'Ones To Watch in 2007' by numerous areas of the media. Lead singer Rou said "Download is going to be mega! To play it is out of this world. I'm gonna to do 10 Barbara Windsor's before I go on stage and then clout Chris Batten (bass) in his trout claspers. That will put him out of action for the weekend. Killer."

This is the 3rd time MACHINE HEAD will make an appearance at Donington Park, their last triumphant performance in 2004 saw them voted Band Of The Day on the official Download Festival website. Guitarist Phil Demmel said, "Machine Head is totally stoked to get back to Download. Download 2004 was the highlight of my musical career so far, so we look forward to increasing on that. The UK rocks... And Download rules!!"

BOWLING FOR SOUP return to Download for their 3rd appearance after a hiatus in 2006. Jeret Reddick said "We couldn't be more excited about our return to Download... the caliber of the bands and the diversity of the music and music fans makes it one of the best weekends ever... not to mention there is free beer if you play and the occasional sandwich, which would be reason enough to play, even if they didn't pay us... now all I have to do is try and be sober enough to remember seeing Slayer!!!"

Following this week's spectacular artist announcements and news that for the first time ever, the T in the Park arena will be open on Friday evening to campers, festival organisers Big Day Out Ltd and founding partners Tennent's Lager are delighted to announce that tickets for 2007 event sold out in a spectacular 40 minutes having gone on sale at 9am today...:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

35,000 tickets were put on sale for 2007's event back in July - a single day after The Who, had finished enthralling the legendary Balado crowd – and sold out in a breathtaking 70 minutes. These astonishingly quick sell outs are continued testimony to the event's popularity and status in the global music calendar.

This year fans have once again clamoured to get their hands on tickets to the artist's and audience's favourite festival and will be entertained by some of the biggest and best performers in the world. Following the announcement of the event's strongest ever launch line-up on Thursday phone lines, the official websites and ticket outlets witnessed unprecedented demand this morning with some fans having queued since mid-afternoon on Friday. Those lucky enough to have secured tickets are guaranteed entry to their best ever weekend of live music!

Only those people lucky enough to have weekend with camping tickets will have access to the festival arena on the evening of Friday 6th July.

Geoff Ellis, of festival organisers DF Concerts had this to say:

"While we thought that the T in the Park tickets would sell out quickly today, we are amazed that it has broken its own record as the fastest selling festival in the UK. Once again T in the Park fans have shown how much they love the festival and we look forward to seeing each and every-one of you there!

However, if you did not manage to get your hands on a ticket today then I urge you not to turn to unofficial online outlets or internet auction sites. Not only would you have to pay well over the odds, but you may be paying for tickets that do not exist and therefore you will not gain access to the festival.

Once the final capacity for the site is agreed, multiple bookings are made void and where possible, online lots are cancelled, a second batch of tickets will go onsale in the coming weeks. To be the first to find out when these tickets will become available then please sign up to tinthepark.com."

George Kyle of founding partners Tennent's Lager added:

"All of us here at Tennent's Lager are delighted to enter our fourteenth year of partnership with DF Concerts with such positive news. It is the amazing reception that T in the Parker's give each and every one of the 170 artists that grace the weekend's 11 stages, that gives the event its world renowned atmosphere. It's a delight to be able to have been able to give so many music fans the opportunity to book their place at Balado this year. We can't wait to see them in July for yet another amazing T in the Park"

As always, T in the Park strongly advises fans not to buy tickets from any unofficial sources or website auctions, as not only will they have to over the odds but there is a high chance that the ticket will not exist or will be a fake.

Roskilde Festival adds two British class acts to this summer's programme. Basement Jaxx and Klaxons conquer the dance floors in each their own unorthodox way. Roskilde Festival 2007 turns out to be a great year for those eager to dance. Two new names are ready with a persistent itch in the dancing shoes. The first act has for years delivered an entire catalogue of modern dancing classics, and their playful beats have resound at the very top of the charts. The other act is a skilled matchmaker of alternative rock and rave, and they have set the agenda before landing a record deal.

As always, expect many more artists and attractions to be unveiled over the coming weeks and months that will continue to ensure that T in the Park is a world leading festival experience.

A limited number of tickets for this year's T in the Park went on sale back in July, just 24 hours after 2006's fantastic event. T in the Parkers snapped all 35,000 of them up in just 70 MINUTES. This positively smashed all previous records, and is testament to the festival's consistent popularity and stature amongst global music fans.

Geoff Ellis, of festival organisers DF Concerts had this to say:

"We have always said that it's the incredible loyalty of the audience that makes T in the Park so special and last year the fans made themselves heard again by voting T the Best UK Festival for the second consecutive year at the UK Festival Awards! To show our appreciation we wanted to give something back to them, and create an even better experience than the last, so it is with great pleasure that this year we're announcing a third day!"

"The line up is already particularly strong with four of the biggest bands in the world today confirmed to headline.  Both Arctic Monkeys and The Killers made their King Tut's debuts just over two years ago so it is amazing how quickly they have progressed into headline acts. Snow Patrol cemented their reputation as one of the world's best live acts with a phenomenal performance at last year's T on the Fringe. Razorlight are one of Britain's finest musical exports, and I'm sure fans will be thrilled when they hear who will be joining them on the bill."

"Tickets are expected to sell out quickly once again this year but as always I must urge fans to only buy tickets from official outlets to avoid falling foul of online ticket scams or paying well over the odds for tickets that may not even exist and being left disappointed."

George Kyle, Head of Sponsorship at founding partners Tennent's Lager added:

"Having been part of T in the Park as founding partners since its inception in 1994, we have watched the event grow and develop into a world renowned event. All of us at Tennent's Lager are absolutely delighted that the festival arena will be open to campers on the evening of Friday 6th July            for the first time in the event's illustrious fourteen year history."

"Our thanks go once again to our partners Big Day Out Ltd for putting together another stunning line up of for this year's event, including the very best of international artists and homegrown talent. We are all looking forward to making future announcements in the coming weeks and months, which will prove exactly why T in the Park was voted the 'Best Major Festival' for the second year running last year."

"We are also looking forward to seeing what the T Break Stage has to offer this year. The standard of the talent coming through T Break is just astounding and every year the T Break Stage proves to be an absolute must for music fans. All here at Tennent's Lager are extremely proud of our initiative and of all the artists that work so hard to take part. With some exiting new online developments we are expecting even more talented unsigned artists to enter this year, as they are now also able to upload their demos on to www.tbreak.co.uk…it couldn't be easier!"

"Our thanks must also go to the infamous Balado crowd, whose reputation is second to none the world over. The artists who perform at T in the Park love the inimitable Balado reception they receive, which is why they love to come back! The community spirit that we see year on year from the T in the Parkers who pitch up to camp, and those who visit us for the day at T is astounding. And their identity as a group is our identity as a festival. It is inspirational to share the festival with you, and we hope you feel as much a part of it as we know you are. We can't wait to see you all at Balado in July."

"T in the Park has always been, and will remain to be, the flagship event in our music programme which demonstrates a consistent and passionate commitment to and support of music in Scotland, the history of which spans nearly 20 years. Roll on July!"

Campsite

Once again, the party will start on Friday 6th July for all the music fans who are allowed to camp in the legendary T in the Park campsite. This year, those holding a weekend with camping ticket will also have access to the festival arena for Friday's musical extravaganza. More artists will be announced soon…

The Isle of Wight Festival is back with a big British bang for 2007 and boasts a line up every bit as stunning as its surroundings!  Taking place over 3 days on 8th, 9th & 10th June at Seaclose Park, this year's festival will bring together some of the finest live acts of our time, including headline performances by the biggest selling band of 2006, Snow Patrol and Best Live Act Brit Award winners Muse.

Now in its sixth year, festival organisers Solo have set the standard for this year's Isle of Wight Festival, which traditionally kicks off the festival season in style!  Kings of the rock 'n' roll scene Kasabian will appear as special guests on the Saturday whilst GQ's Band of the Year Keane will wow the 50'000 strong crowd as they take to the stage as special guests on Sunday.
