That is the truth.  Yesterday, I waited from 1-5 for them to come.  Luckly, they came around 4:45.  My parents have time warner cable so i was already suspicious of all of their "service". After i got my dvr(Lucky its free) i set up some shows and watched like half an hour of tv and went to bed.  I woke up hoping to watch Best Week Ever but no. The thing is totally black. No green light, no time, no anything.  I call time warner who eventually agrees that i might need a new dvr.  Anyway, since i can't take off work wait around for a cable box my next nearest appointment would be saturday.  It would be fine  if i just couldn't tape stuff or parse through the menue but no, i can't watch any tv at all. none.  SO now i have the addresses of two offices that i have to bring my stupid dvr to after work next week. The guy was even hesitant t to give me those addresses. he really wanted a tech to come out and look at the thing since it had just been installed yesterday.  whatever time warner.  I just want....a dvr that some other customer hasn't beat up.

and then on the phone the guy kept saying, "I understand. No problem." or "No worries."  uh, no, there ARE worries! I am paying for some tv that doesn't work that IS a problem for me.  I should have demanded that he give me HIS drv i bet he has some sparklely new one that hasn't been in some truck bouncing and banging around in teh back between here and orange.  I know he meant to say, "Affermative", or "That's too bad." well he should say that instead of, "No worreis."!


Sad. so sad.  Well, at least i have the internets...so i could find the tech support number for time warner.  And why aren't they open sunday?! Huh! why.

Are you currently holding any grudges?

Grudges take a lot of energy.  To hold a grudge you really got to be continually passionate about whatever happened.  It's really an everyday thing.  I'll hold a grudge for awhile but then after a while it sort of dissolves while you focus on the new stuff that's happening in your life.  You wake up and think.you know that was silly.

 

Hate anything for no reason?

Mountain dew. I really just refuse to drink it.  I just don't want to.

I hate calling people on the phone.  I will procrastinate.so long.

I want to get a library card to the Huntington Beach library. I have a list of books I want to read.  The Nanny Diaries, Lovely Bones, haha I swear I had more I wanted to read.  Anyways, I procrastinate and can't seem to get over there. I make too many excuses!  I miss the library.

I always think of love and hate as very close together.  If you love someone, you think about them all the time, if you hate someone, you're doing the same.  It's being passionate about someone.  Passion is a feeling that can be good or bad towards something/someone.  If I dislike someone so much I try not to dwell on them because it makes me upset.

 

Has someone done something so foul that you've written them off forever?

Yes, he doesn't have a myspace, so if you're reading this it's not you.

 

What is your current ongoing annoyance that you would like to tap with your magic wand and make it disappear?

My neighbor's coo-coo clock! Every single hour! It chimes or coo-coo coo-coo coo-coos hahah. During the day light hours it's fine but three in the morning? WTF I understand pretty chiming clocks when you live in your own house but when you live in a two bedroom apartment?  Are you not near a clock? Do you love the sound of coo-coo coo-coo? The answer to all of these questions is a fat NO.  Especially if it's so loud your neighbor hears it.  The problem is that my bedroom window faces at least 60 other bedroom windows so it could be anyone of those people.  Like I would do anything about it anyway, but then at least I would have a face to go with the annoying sound.

 

     If you had a chance to meet one of your "moral enemies" for a discussion, would you do it?

If they came to the table really wanting something positive to come out of it, yah sure, I'd meet them.  If they showed up to be vindictive and laugh about it later then no.  But a mature conversation is always welcome even though it would be really difficult at first.  What mature conversation isn't difficult at some point ;-)  I don't think there is any reason to remain angry with someone when you're both ready to let whatever it was go.

 

Spice/vegetable/sauces/etc that ruins any meal?

Capers! I hate capers! I don't get them, they're salty little beads of.salt! Hahah anything would be better without them.  Also, I can only take minimal amounts of the green stuff that goes in salsa.cilantro.  When I make salsa I always have to be real careful about how much I put in because when you put in too much.its just totally ruined!  A little tastes good but when they use a lot ick. Anyway it's a fine line between fabulous and disgusting.

 

Something you love that can fix any meal?

Currently I am in love with blue cheese. Well, cheese can fix any meal. Just cheddar cheese mmm soo good.  Salsa can also fix anything that's too bland.

 

Have you lost a friend over something that seems trivial now?

There are definitely things I look back on now that seemed really important at the time but now aren't.  Things get blown out of proportion but sometimes you can't help it from happening.  Communication is really the key.  Sometimes things need to rest for a little bit.

 

 Made a friend doing something random?
Not really.  I find friends at places where I am forced to be at for lengths of time: school/work/roommate assignments.  I should make it a goal to make friends with someone I trip over, spill my drink on, randomly help find the stairs. Or are these cute how I met my husband stories? Hahah maybe.

 

Food you don't like?
I don't like fish. Salmon, halibut, I don't care what it is, if it swam in the sea, I don't want it on my plate.  I'll try it but no I will not order it.  I don't like the smell of fish and I don't care for the nasty bones that are all small and come in your food because they can't be removed.    I don't like shrimp, or clams or whatever else lurks around the dirty ocean. Hahah. I will eat crab cakes but those don't count because they're deep fried, very mild and usually come with tasty sause.

 

Food you're embarrassed to admit you like?
McDonalds 79 cent hamburgers.  You know, the ones that look like they've been sat on and have tiny chopped up onions, three pickles and a squirt of ketchup/mustard. So good! Or it reminds me of being a kid and ordering happy meals.  It's probably part nostalgia part fatty goodness.

 

Alcohol you hate?
Tequila -when I drink it I instantly feel woozy and sick to my stomach.  Ugh it's terrible.  Even a margarita makes me feel yucky.  I don't drink gin just because of the taste.  Plain gin like gin martinis, I haven't given gin a big chance just because I had a gin martini a few times and never enjoyed it. I also don't like any kind of whiskey, ugh the smell and taste makes my stomach turn.  Tastes like earthy.  I don't like earthy in my mouth and I don't want to pay for earthy.  I also don't care for beer but not all beers are super nasty it's really just the smell that turns me off.

 

What do you do when you're angry?
I look for the humor in the situation.  If you can laugh about something it's not that big of deal and usually I come to the conclusion it wasn't worth getting all upset about.  If I am especially upset I'll pull away from who I am upset with, which isn't a good thing because then the communication is cut off and you can't resolve anything.  I'm trying to work that!

 

 

Is there a movie that you love to watch except for one part?
I watch Indiana jones and the first movie ahah and I never watch the last part where they open the box and all the ghosts fly around. I watched it when I was like 9 and it freaked me out so I haven't watched it since.  Yah, I'm weird.

I don't like watching When Harry Met Sally but I'll watch small parts of it or I love small parts of it.  Haah. Is that really weird?
