Some of you will remember my LiveJournal.  These days, it's just a crosspost account, sending warrenellis.com posts to the 4000 people left on LJ.  I have a Flickr account that I mostly just use to look at other people's photos, and a last.fm account that can't possibly be of any interest to anyone who isn't me.

I still have the mailing list, Bad Signal, but it's mostly just quick news blasts these days - http://mailman.flirble.org/mailman/listinfo/badsignal

And that's about it.

It's getting to the point where I'm checking this thing every few days for pretty much no reason at all.  So if I vanish off your myspace pages again, you'll know I've gotten sick of it and deleted the account entirely.  You all know how to find me elsewhere, right?

So it turns out that if you accept every add request you're ever sent, you end up with 23000 "friends" and MySpace becomes completely useless.  You can't search, can't sort, bulletins become unusable, the whole thing basically falls apart.  And it's not like I ever heard from those 23000 people or anything.
So I deleted everybody.  And resolved to only add back people I knew, or people who do interesting stuff that I was interested in because it was interesting.
The funny thing was, only 100 people noticed. 
No wonder I could never track website hits back to here.
So if any of you are somehow still wondering how I disappeared off your friends lists -- that's how.

I do an irregular podcast at http://www.warrenellis.com , called The 4am. It's composed entirely of music sent to me by bands and musicians. If I like it, I play it, basically. You can find the first 16 episodes in warrenellis.com's sidebar player or here — they've been played some 64000 times.

And, for various reasons, I'm now pretty much out of music to consider for it. Therefore, I need new music.

If you think you'd like to be on the podcast, please email me your music (mp3, 128k or better) at warrenellis @ gmail.com. That email address is only used for the podcast. Including a link to your site is always useful — saves me having to hunt around for it myself. Tell your friends if you like.
