hahah you thought I would go a whole year without a blog ? well I didnt !

Just made it :) What is happening ? Not much at all. We will be recording some new songs for Christmas , not necessarily Christmas songs but they will be recorded around that time. They will most likely be unplugged like the "Two Cows & A Lizard" album so we will have to come up with a nother name for it , but that will come to us on the day.

I am sick of people trying to be smart.  I look around at the people I see making some sort of ridiculous music and they are all trying to be smart about it.

On one hand - Weird Al Yankovic, sure I don't mind his stuff, but it is mostly covers and changing words to songs ain't THAT hard...

On the other hand - Tenacious D - I think they are excellent, they just rock, they aren't trying to make a point or be witty , they are just making songs because it's fun and they wanna rock !

Then there is Funky Temple - LOL I can be pretty sure no song of ours has any point whatsoever, they are just a load of notes and words chucked together for the sake of something to do on the weekend. But I like them , damn do I like them, I drive around and play this stuff in my car all the time and sing along :)

The songs we put up here on myspace are more acoustic poppy stuff, but there is some serious rock stuff that you haven't heard yet - stay tuned...

Just spent about 8 billion dollars on a new recording studio in my house to record classic bull that will further improve your audio listening experience :)

This new studio will sound so good when I actually figure out how to work all this bloody digital stuff, it will blow your feeny like a muddermeanie !!

So everything looks on track for the album to finally be completed at th elatest around June 2008.  YAY !!! Only 15+  years in the making , the thing is we just had to wait for the technology to catch up with how advanced our music is haha

Damn ! December was the last post ?

Well... just wrote a new song called "The Tractor Song" and it will be recorded if all goes to plan next weekend when Session 2 of "Two Cows & A Lizard" will be recorded :)  Just hope it doesn't rain !!

We have plans to do Smokin', Canae, Stiffy, Hillbillie Crap, Grand Master Funk, The Monkey Song, Beautiful & Round, a new song about a train and another new song about a plane ! 

And of course there will be a spontaneous crap jam which is always great when you get such funkmeisters as ourselves together on the same planet..

Picture it - the 2nd of December, 2006. Out in the middle of nowhere, no electricity, no running water, two cows & a lizard... This is our unplugged acoustic album. Gonna rock your socks off !

This was the setting for the first recording session of "Two Cows & A Lizard". Some of the classics re-interpreted and a brand new song as well !

The first session spawned amazing renditions of What We Gonna Play Now, Dead Cow, Our Flag Sux, Culosuckers, Naughty Girl, I Wanna Kick A Football & OO I Said Light.

For the second session - we have plans to do Smokin', Canae, Stiffy, Hillbillie Crap, Grand Master Funk, The Monkey Song, Beautiful & Round and maybe a new song about a train :) 

So the album is looking to be complete and ready for public consumption sometime in August 2007. Look out for it !

By the way - you know the band 'Live' - We want royalties from you for calling your album 'Funky Temple', I think 20% of every album you sold under that name should be sufficient.

While we are on the topic of people stealing stuff from us. 'Black Eyed Peas' - 'Elephunk' ? You think because you use a 'ph' instead of an 'f' you can just steal it like that ? For those that don't know 'Elefunk' was the name of one of our recording studios back in the 1990's, it is even referenced on some of the recordings as early as 1993 - so 'Black Eyed Peas' every album you sold under that name feel free to send 20% of the royalties to us here at 'Funky Temple'. We have been fairly kind with only asking for 20%, I wanted at least 50% but Canon Fonky D talked me down to only 20 % so think yourselves lucky !

'Funky Temple' comin' at ya like a punch in the face with a brick. You think it's not ? We have just booked in some recording time for early in the new year so we will be re-recording some classic bull then and recording some all new bull for you cloth-eared nincompoops.

But in the meantime there are always new demos, that we will put up here so you can hear the pure unadulterated genius that is 'Funky Temple'. A few side projects have fallen by the wayside for various reasons, partly because we are slightly mental, but that is neither here or there. (You would have known that listening to our music anyway.) And therefore that gives more time to focus on the classic bully we all know and love so much.

I am listening to "The Early Years Vol. 4" right now  and absolutely blowing my head off ! Like Garnyman Sam through the hourglass you better watch out !
