Hello dear friends.
In the evening of Friday the 31st of October I got
a terrible pain in my lower back, it also went down in
my left leg. Spent a sleepless night and then saturday
morning off to the emergency clinic. Got the diagnosis
lumbago and precriptions for different medicines.
Hard to put words on the pain really....just let me say that
it makes you really revalue what is important in life.
One other immediate issue was that TK had a show booked
on Saturday the 7th on the Rock at Sea festivalcruise leaving
from Stockholm. I was rather pessimistic about it that weekend,
But....I slowly got better last week and last Friday decidied I wanted
to have a go at it...
So on Saturday afternoon I took a taxi to the ferry terminal and boarded
the ship with the other guys in TK....I felt very shaky during the soundcheck
but somehow the adrenalin came rushing during the show and I think we
managed a very good gig...warm response from the audience and good
sound and spirit. Luckily for me this was a short gig...only one hour.
Arrived back in Stockholm on Sunday..a taxi back home and straight to bed.
Feel better from day to day now..so hopefully I am back in business soon!

Otherwise TK finished 2nd in an online poll, "Best Swedish Progressive Rockband Ever".
We were beaten with only one vote by our friends the Flower Kings. But silver is OK too.
Thanks to all who voted for us.

Except for a show in Göteborg, Sweden on the 28th of ¨March next year TK has no
shows booked. Instead we will work on a new album, the last in the trilogy which
started with "Elden av år" and "I början och slutet".
Olle(lyrics) and me has already started the writing.
There is no releasedate set but we hope to have it out next autumn 2010.
I will of course keep you updated here as the work progresses.

Hello friends...
Hope all is fine with you. Just a few lines here
with updates from the TK camp.
October the 3rd we will play in Germany for the first
time ever....we wil play the Prockfest festival
in Bielefeld. We will be on stage 19.30.
Other bands includes our friends from Spain
"Kotebel" and our Swedish friends "Beardfish".

Hey friends.
How are you doing? Having holiday or back to work?
Me and the rest of TK have been enjoying the warm!!
Swedish summer during our holidays. Even though both
me and Dag have been out of the country for some parts of
our holidays.

On Thursday though we will start to rehearse for the
autumn shows coming up.
It is only less than 2 months since our last show at
Nearfest, PA, US so I hope we are still in rather good
shape...smiles... But we have to shorten our set which is not always
easy...smiles...at Nearfest we played for almost 2 hours.

We had some sound problems during our Nearfest show.
The guitar was apparently very low in the mix from what
we have heard afterwards so we obviously have to deal
with that for the coming shows.

The first show for the autumn will be the "September Prog
Day" at the Progresja Club in Warzaw, Poland on the
12th of September.

Oh yes...it is almost certain now that we will play Stockholm on
the 5th of November. I will come back later with more info.

Hello dear friends.
Our website trettioarigakriget.com is down for the rest of the week
due to work on our new site. The new site should be up on
trettioarigakriget.com on Sunday.
It is much improved from the old one both concerning design
and information.
It will also be much more frequently updated than the old one.

I have put two links here of reviews from our Nearfest show in US
on the 21st of June.
Here is the good and nice one. it is from the highly recommendable
US music site "The Ripple Effect":

and here is the bad and ugly one...smiles....being a musician is not always a
walk on the sunny side...smiles....even if this one outshines most I have read
about the band.

We have also put up quite a few photos here at Myspace from our
Nearfest show where you can get a glimpse of Joahn Gullbergs fantastic
backprojections.
Otherwise I am having holiday as is the rest of the band....I am enjoying
the beautiful summer here in Sweden.
We will start to rehearse for our autumn shows at the end of August.
As I wrote before there are also plans for a new studio album.
Work on it will start beginning of next year though no releasedate is set
yet.

Hello again friends.
Hope all of you are doing fine. I mean summer is almost
here so there should be plenty of time ahead for lying on the
beach, swimming and of course listening to some great music.

TK are currently finishing rehearsals for our show at the Nearfest Festival
in Bethlehem, PA, Us on the 21st of June. As I wrote in my last blog
we will use backprojections on a bigger scale for the first time.
From what I have seen it will be smashing. Johan Gullberg (TK cover
artist since 1974) have done a great job enhancing the atmosphere of
each song. The show will be both recorded and filmed for hopefully a
coming DVD. Though our plan now is to first start with a new studioalbum
beginning of next year.
Also as I wrote in my last blog we will play in Warzaw, Poland on the 12th of
September and Prockfest in Germany on the 3rd of October.
And on the the 7th of November we will play the "Svenska Höjdare" festival
onboard the Cinderella cruiseship leaving from Stockholm.

For those of you who have missed it.
We have put up on our website for FREE DOWNLOAD Olle Thörnvalls
(TK lyricist) book "I and I and I". The book covers the history of TK pretty
extensively from the beginning to present day. It also written in English
so everyone should be able to read it.

Plans are also underway to release the book with some extra material
later this year.

Hello friends.
Hope all of you are doing fine...here in Stockholm
we have spring since a few weeks which makes
all of us feel really good!
TK has started to prepare for the show at the Nearfest
Festival in Bethlehem,PA,US on the 21st of June.
Our show will start 4.15pm. We will for the first time
use back projections on a bigger scale which of course
is very exciting!! Johan Gullberg who has done all our artwork
since our first album in 1974 is coming with us to handle the
projections. He has also of course made the art and photos for
the projections.
Our latest show was in Nagoya in Japan only  last December so
we feel that we are in rather good shape (hopefully anyway!!)

We have a few shows confirmed for the fall.
On 12th of September we play in Warzaw, Poland for the first
time at the Progresja Club.
On the 3rd of October we play for the first time ever in Germany at
the Prockfest Festival in Bielefeld.
On the 7th of November we will play the festival cruise "Svenska Höjdare"
onboard the Cinderella Cruiseship leaving from Stockhom.
There also plans underway for show in Göteborg and Stockholm
coming fall.

Anyway...will be back soon again...going out now  to enjoy the beautiful spring
evening here...

Hello friends...
It..s been some time since I last wrote here but things have been kind of
hectic lately. One of the main reasons is I have been renovating my bathroom
believe it or not..smiles...Have been without hotwater for a month almost.
It really makes you think how spoiled we are nowadys taking so
many things for granted.
Anyway...The band have had a short break last months. Well almost...Olle
has been writing some lyrics for the next album which I am currently
looking at. In April we will start to rehearse for our show at the Nearfest Festival
in Bethlehem, PA, US. We are really excited about this as it will be only our
second show ever in the US. The first being the Progday Festival which we played in 2004.
A great part of that show was also used for our livealbum "War Years" which was
released last autumn.
We will play Nearfest on sunday the 21st of June at 4.15 pm.
We will also do our first ever German show at the Prockfest Festival on the 3rd of
October in Bielefeld.
On the 7th of October we play the "Rock at sea" festival cruiseship leaving from Stockholm.
There have been some questions concerning the "Glorious war" album (our pre debut album
made by the founding line up of the band). The album is sold out but there will hopefully
be a new edition made. Though probably not before we have had the new album made.
Finally some words about Rock-Krister (Krister Schubert)...the rock..n..roll pioneer from the same small
village, Saltsjöbaden, as we all come from. Olle and myself has been doing some research about him
lately since he is almost forgotten here in Sweden. Though he do appear in the big Swedish
Rock..n..roll Encyklopedia. Olle also has a memory of seeing him at the local cafe in the appartment
building where we both lived. Though the memory is a bit vague since Olle was only 5 years old at the time.
We have found out that he released an EP in 1958 which included 2 selfpenned songs,
"Sputnik rock..n..roll" and "Hello man beat". This must be the first two original rock songs
made in Sweden. I mean....1958 is very early...almost 5 years before
The Beatles!! The sad part of the story is that he only made one more EP in 1985, which contained
two covers plus the two original songs from 1958. He died in 1992 at the age of 54.
For us it is even more very special since we did a homecoming show in Saltsjöbaden in 2004 which
was held at the shipbuilding yard started by Rock-Kristers granddad!! Like completing the circle.

Hello all friends....Hope you are all doing fine and that you had

Hello there friends..


Hope all of you are doing fine despite financial crisis, recession and all...


I am writing this monday evening. It has been snowing now for three days


here in Stockholm now.But it is very very beautiful here with all the snow.


Tomorrow all of us in TK leave for Japan for two shows.


On the 29th of November we will play in Tokyo and the day after in Nagoya.


They have released most of our backcatalogue there in "papersleeve"


editions. It is of first visit there so we are obviously very excited.


Our first ever live album "WAR YEARS" is now out. It is a double live album


covering our whole career starting with our second show ever and finishing


with our "homecoming" concert here in Saltsjöbaden/Nacka last December.


Johan Gullberg and David östlund has as always made a very beautiful cover.


It comes in digipack with extensive linernotes by TKs lyricist Olle Thörnvall.


Olle also has a new book released here in Sweden. it is a collection of essays


called "Existensmysteriet". (Mystery of existence).
