Wow. Just back from a week in heaven - doesn't translate readily into pixels, but I'll have a go at it:

dappled sunlight through hundred-year oak leaves

cricket obbligato with cicada cadenzas

sun - glorious, blessed sun!

lightning and thunder

rain on the order of sheep and yaks

music all day

music all night

love everywhere

sunspotted hammock naps
.....

I learned to walk on tall stilts - most fun ever! Missed walking in the parade: on my way I heard glorious cello, the Bach unaccompanied suites, stopped to listen. Two young women, one cello. Trading movements and passages back and forth on a sunny warm late afternoon under an oak. Mesmerized, blessed by cello vibrations.

....

Julie Wolf playing with everyone

Ferron in a fedora, umbrella tucked underelbow

Patty Larkin, loop wizard

Blame Sally

Hanifah Walidah

Erin McKeown - wow. yow. meow!

Some new musical discoveries for me:

Ellis! Have you heard this woman? she's fantastic.

ditto Garrison Starr

dit-ditto Anne Heaton

now home, now in the garden. haricots verts (that's baby green beans, y'all), sugarpod peas, oceans of spinach and lettuce, and oh! those dahlias!

That's right, friends: a thousand crisp, new, colorful, whimsical, musical CDs showed up at my door last week - loaded with my songs, deliciously embellished by a cast of delightful musicians!

I am flabbergasted, delighted, and almost dumbfounded. It's been an amazing journey from "gee, maybe I should make a CD" to having a living room full of them. And it'll be an even more amazing journey from here to "wow, time to reorder!" or "wow, time to make another one" or wherever it is I end up going.
Six months from now I hope to look back at this post and smile, thinking of all the elapsed adventures...

Meanwhile I've sold out the house for the release party - it's clearly time to book some more gigs.

Wanna buy a CD? Until I get the online thing worked out, you can send me $17 and I'll mail you one. It's kinda fun getting stuff in the mail.
