I hope this finds you well. I'm in rainy LA. I've never been here when it was raining, but I kind of like it right now. The last few days have been filled with meetings and meeting new friends. I'm also learning the area more and more each time i venture out. LA has been promising. The past few months I may have briefly spoken about recording new material. These songs I've been recording with Artist/Producer Ryan Farish who is a very talented producer who's won numerous awards. We've recently finished work on a new EP. The title will be announced soon, so be on the look out for all the news with that.

As far as the new direction is concerned. I always have enjoyed writing thought-provoking lyrics that make you think and reflect on life. This new EP will be a nice change from the chill, emotional sounding "A Gentleman's Closure," while continuing to make you think. I really look forward to you hearing the new songs that I think you will quickly embrace. The release date will be announced soon for the Digital Only EP release. So much is in the works. I am glad you come by and stay tuned in to what's happening. Hold on. Things are moving fast!

I think I may go eat some greasy pizza somewhere now.

Live Love,

Please enjoy the free download of this song " A Minute More. " I've never done this before, giving away a song for free. That, in itself, is a reason I'm doing it, among others.

I wanted to share this song with you for free, a song that's very special to me, about the love of my life (my future wife) who I have yet to meet.

I wanted to create a song that I could one day let that special person hear and be able to say to them, "I thought about you all the time." I hope that this song encourages and sparks something inside of you as much as it does me.

Please tell your friends about this song and the other music I've created. I encourage you to pass it along, but to also help support the music I'm so passionate about by purchasing the records and t-shirts on myspace, telling your friends to do the same, coming to shows, and/or any other creative way(s) you can think of.

A Minute More

I'm on a highway down the road
I wanna be there right now
I'm in a stranger's bed in my home
I can't claim a place I don't know

And I can't wait
Til the day
You walk right in my door
And I can't wait
Til the day
You walk right in my door

They told me you were here but now I know
I must have missed you some time ago
Lost amidst a crowd of things I've fought
No wasted feelings anymore

And I can't wait
Til the day
You walk right in my door
And I can't wait
Til the day
You walk right in my door

Crowds now parting
Everything begins to dissipate
Foundations breaking down
Roads get tangled everywhere
But still my hand you take
My hand you take

And I can't wait
Til the day
You walk right in my door
And I can't wait
Til the day
You walk right in my door
But I'll wait a minute more

Thank you for all you bring to this life. I'm so grateful for you. Let me know what you think.

LOVE EVERYONE,
Nathan

It's in the eyes, voice, and touch. Truth is something that cannot be forged as it can only exist in a state of vulnerability and passion. The truth can hurt when it exposes us to loss, rejection and pain. However, truth is also beauty because it is an absolute certainty in someone's spirit - a glimpse inside the heart. Nathan Morris makes apparent both the hurt and the beauty truth has to offer in his honest music, drawing directly from the personal life experiences that have shaped him into the man he is today.

Nathan Morris's charisma and enthusiasm for all that life has to offer is truly contagious. This fun loving, 22 year old believes in his listeners as much as he believes in himself. Born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky, Nathan jokes that he got his start in music in elementary school when his music teacher, in a desperate attempt to keep him still and quiet, promised him a solo at the end of each class as a reward for good behavior. Ever since, Nathan has found comfort in music and has been well-behaved (for the most part). In 2005 Nathan teamed up with producer Brent Lain to create his debut EP "Leaving Duraleigh," which was nominated for "Independent Release of the Year" (2006) by musiqtone.com. The excitement continued in 2007 when Nathan joined forces with Nathan Walters, former member of the Atlantic Recording Group Plus One, to record his first full length album, "A Gentleman's Closure."

Released to a public who embraced both Nathan and his music, this debut soon found itself in high demand. It is rare to find an album on which every track contains life, meaning, and energy. "A Gentleman's Closure" irrefutably accomplishes this as Nathan looks deep inside himself when he composes. He explains, "I write when I'm busted up a bit, when things are tough, when I need to reflect." Such reflection is evident in songs like I'd Like You To Meet My Father, Timmy Went Swimming, and Broken But Breathing. These songs capture difficult experiences in Nathan's life with amazing honesty. He believes that everyday is a blessing as he forces us to ask ourselves what we are going to do with the time we are given. "It's about love," he says, "letting others know they are important and that they have something wonderful to offer in this beautiful thing called life." His deeply rooted faith also plays a role throughout the album and is most clear in the song Listening For A Whisper. While his lyrics are thought provoking and even heartbreaking at times, the accompanying music is fresh, new, and innovative. It is an exciting combination that comes together to create a memorable musical journey.

apparently my records are for sale on Target.com for way too much money. I wouldn't spend $13.97 on a 5 song disc. not even my own. and then forrest said, "and that's all i have to say about that."

my vision is changing as an artist. before i wanted that major label deal and all the perks that come with it. but i'm realizing i'm capable of making great things happen without the logo on the back of my cd packaging. i think a record deal (the right deal) would benefit my vision and goals as an artist, but i don't know that i need one. i have some great individuals, like yourselves, who come and take the time to invest in the music i am making by listening, telling your friends, and spending your hard earned money on records and t-shirts that you could easily spend on a cheeseburger. for that, i'm grateful. then, on the other hand, you do have those individuals though that can't seem to be happy for you. i need to save and share with you the screen names and comments some people instant message to me. i think you'd laugh right along with me. i think it's written in some people's dna to be whiny, unhappy, disrespectful, and immature wusses. i guess they are here for our pleasure though, which i'm ok with.

here's a pretty cool announcement! starbucks nationwide and canada will begin playing "closure" the title track from my record on september 3, 2008 in all their stores. it's such an awesome time for me and everyone involved in this. i can't wait for you to walk in to a starbucks store to order your specialized skinny vanilla latte with 1/2 of a splenda packet and 3 ice cubes, and hear the song over the speakers. "closure" is available on itunes now, so go there and buy it or order a record for you and a friend and help to continue to support the music i love to share with you.

i've been in north carolina for over a month now writing and recording songs to send to ryan farish. ryan is a grammy nominated, dove award winning producer. this cat has worked with some pretty impressive people. i'm blessed to be teaming up with this guy to deliver some cool new material for you. as a matter of fact, i leave for l.a. in less than 12 hours to meet up with him and hang out, talk ideas, and what not. i'm missing home though. i miss my family; mom and brothers aaron and john. i miss my dear friend stephanie and her countless amounts of spaghetti that she feeds me and her constant reminders that two dryer sheets always makes your clothes smell better. i miss mikey and all his extremely funny comments about things. i guess i'm lucky to have a family and friends and a hard working team to go home to. they don't criticize me or judge me. when i'm around them, i'm just me. nothing more, nothing less. it's a wonderful feeling.

thanks for being you and for all that you bring to life.

you're loved.
nathan
