Current mood:  used
A few months ago I recorded something with Greg Weeks. It will come out later this year.  It smells like swamps and frying skin.
I bought a computer so I'm slightly more likely to write back to people now.

Some people asked for the lyric to the song in the live video. Here is that.

i pulled my hands out of virginia and i said
i'm sorry yet again i'm leaving you for a man
frying chicken all day long
your hair smells of grease
i bathe with you
i stink of it too
drain the water please

with dirt under my fingernails
i clawed out of the swamp
a bear trap closed
on my legs
so i gnawed my foot off
mosquitos have been feasting
on what's left of my legs
i used to swap at them
but gave up after a day

the pavement burned my torso
as my arms dragged it home
was hungry in my blackened skin
needed a man of my own
one foot left
the toenails scraping
harshly as i slither
i scratch at your door
praying you'll hear
and come hither

you let me in, licked me clean
and fed me what you could
i stayed ugly and possessed
your body, mind and food
one foot left
the toenails scraping
harshly as i slither
i find an attic
to hide in
and go thither

lyrics:

Alice and Sarah

alice and sarah were by the shore
sharing secrets of gods and their lore
when dagon came
to take them away
and carry them to separate corners of the earth
but alice and sarah knew
just where to swim
to find eachother again
for they've shared this same dream since the day
that they shared the same bed
so they know
just where to go
was three in the morning
towards them he was swimming
carrying seven other women with him
when alice painted
her pale skin
with the glowing green
life from the ocean
alice believes that the bed
must be haunted
but sarah is not convinced
she is far less (i sang "more" on the record, but meant to sing less.) superstitious
her blood flows
doubtful and viscous
dagon bit off the heads of the women
alice and sarah
swam far away from him
alice and sarah knew all of the oceans
better than they knew eachother's tongues
he swam after them he swam
through 7 seas through these he did
they tricked him into a boiling spring
his skin and scales were boiled to nothing
alice believes that the bed
must be haunted
but sarah is not convinced
she is far less superstitious
her blood flows doubtful and viscous

Fake Yer Death

fake your death
if you need to
to avoid distractions
from the living
you can
make a body
out of plaster soaked
in your own blood
then leave the body
in your bed
covered with a sheet
like you were murdered in your sleep
burn the house down
leave some bones
make sure the bones look something like your own
dig them up
steal them from the grave
of someone your age
you take these
bones and place them
insides the plaster
soaked in your blood
then leave the body in your bed
covered with a sheet
like you were murdered in your sleep
burn the house down
leave some bones
make sure the bones look something like your own
should our little plan go amiss
shall they see the bodies are not flesh
we will wait till they're burried
until we rest
my love until we rest
until we rest
my love until we rest then we can
hide in a room like we always wanted to
to work on what we love
work on what we love
we won't tell anyone we're not dead
so we can hide away to work on what we love
until we rest
my love until we rest

A Faceless Death

when you die i'll rearrange your bones
into the shape of an animal you love
but o then a faceless death
we knew would come
forces me to make up one
i will cover your bone frame in fur
construct wings from the bones of dead birds
these wings bound to your shoulders
with tendons from the body of a deer

A Giver

if you save the princess from the castle
where she is kept by a cruel and evil spell
i will send a red raven to you
the raven will bring you all that you ask for
you only ask for water and food
you're pious and good for this i will reward you
with any other thing you can think to ask for
you only ask for my namesake star
for this request i'll fall in love with you
but you could not love me, for i have no human form
i am only a giver of things
rewards the deeds of braver men
living in moons with their wax and wane
i am only a giver of things
...but you could never fall in love with me
because i am just a giver and she could be your queen...

Simon Sent for Me

 simon sent for me
sent telepathically
"lady please come
come to the valley"
get out of the oceans
and into the caves
don't drink from haunted fountains
stop robbing graves for love
forcefields forever
we climbed the stone tower
we searched for the fire
we were fire finders
with our skin still vibrating from the light
in a lovely crow's nest
i spent the night. o my.
guarded in sleep
guarded by seven swords
and protection spells by the guardian owl
pulled here, pulled here by the, by the unseen forces
never quite knowing
never never knowing how

Suicide Kiss
This is a cover from the movie Jisatsu Saakuru (released as Suicide Club in the US and some other names in other countries) You can watch a clip with English subtitles from the movie containing the original song here.

Little Neighbor

when they called asking for my mother
when they called asking for
when they called asking for her
i said wrong number
i said wrong number
i said wrong number when really o you know
it's not quite what i meant
the words are kind of right
but we both know she is dead
we spread her ashes on italian gardens
keeping close to the ground so they wouldn't blow around
we're on our knees in the dirt
putting her body back into the earth
when they came asking for her
i said come later
i said come later when really o you know
it's not quite what i meant
the words are sort of right
but we both know she is dead...
little neighbor go away
little child leave me be
you're too young to hear such things
and i'm too young to speak of them
little boy

Ashes from your Burning Wood

 if i were really cold
i'd set my cello on fire to keep warm
i'd smash it into kindling
forgetting it is a living being
with strings made of veins
the body is a breathing thing
it swells with the heat and rain
the body is a living thing
and like yours i'd like to keep it warm
until the heat between us saves you, love
if i were drowning
i'd turn my poor cello into a boat
i could use my bow to row
my weakened body to the shore
my clothes could make a sail
if the boat did fail
to move far on its own
but if i kill you
i'm alone
and o the night it gets so cold
until the heat between us saves you, love
o cello your fire glows
how it glows
the ashes from your burning wood
have blackened all the snow
how it glows
the ashes from your burning wood
have blackened all the snow
until the heat between us melts it all

Capricorn

in my headphones your still alive
waiting with me
for our clothes to dry
and i read your horoscope though our love is dead
remembering the time
the time it read
capricorn go your own way
leave your lady lovelorn
how could i blame you when that's what it said to do
my favorite song is in my ears
the one you wrote only for me to hear
and i read your horoscope
though our love is dead
remembering the time
the time is read
capricorn go your own way
leave your lady lovelorn
how can i blame you when that's what it said to do
your torrid letters
carried with me
taken out when they are needed
in times when i'm awake lazy, empty
in need of words written for me

Drink Yourself (to Death)

when he sat next to me and played
i thought maybe his heart and mine
were somehow the same
cruel words he's compelled me to sing
sing them i will no longer sincerely
just drink yourself to death
so i never have to see you again
i know my love, it sounds cruel
but i'm not the one killing you
it would be a lovely thing
if only our hands were touching
but hearts are strong
bodies are weak
yet both do break when he does speak
drink yourself to death
so i never have to see you again
i know, my love
it sounds cruel
but i'm not the one killing you
and darling o how i do miss your
cigarette smoke tinged breath
breathing words of sweet affection
with their drunken inflection
just drink yourself to death
so i never have to see you again
i know my love
it sounds cruel but i'm the one killing you
cruel words he's compelled me to sing
sing them i will
no longer sincerely
