Okay, I set up the tree yesterday and had wonderful help from my daughter and her boyfriend. We also moved some furniture. Still more to move. But wow, if I could have had this guy helping, even though he seems to have a little trouble getting the lights ON the tree... would be worth it, don't you think?
Now...I have to say that this is one of my hunky heroes--wolf by moonlight, human at any other time. Which REALLY explains how he got himself tangled in the lights. He was a wolf at first, got tangled in the lights and shifted to try to get himself out of the mess. He just has to remember now, where he left his clothes. Well, and still get untangled from the lights. Anyone want to help him???
I'm off to work, but I wanted you to have a fun and sexy post for the beginning of the Christmas holiday season!
Have a great Saturday!

Review“Ms. Spear has a way with words, creating a paranormal mystery sure to hold you spellbound as the twist and turns of the tale unfold. A must read!” ~ Karen Michelle Nutt, PNR Paranormal Reviews “Terry Spear writes a gripping story that holds this reader spellbound.” ~ Cherokee, Coffee Time Romance & More “There were some get-the-ice cubes love scenes between the two, and the mystery and the twists about all the killings and the investigation kept my interest throughout.” ~ Amazon Nymph, Literary Nymphs “Daemon made me fall in love with vampires. He was so real and sexy I wanted to say, ‘Bite me, baby. Bite me!’” ~ Nicole North, author of Devil in a Kilt and Red Sage Secrets Vol. 27 Untamed Pleasures “Readers will be quickly engrossed in Daemon and Tezra’s emotionally charged story. Terry Spear’s world of vampires will have the readers begging for the series to continue.” ~ Rhonda Valverde, VampireRomanceBooks.com Product DescriptionHe resisted the dark huntress…now he’ll use all his powers to make her his own. Tezra Campbell treads a dangerous line between her job as a telepathic investigator for the Hunter Council and her alternate life as a renegade. Beneath her cool, professional exterior lies a dark obsession to find the rogue vampire who murdered her parents ten years ago and left her sister a traumatized shell. An obsession that drives her to use herself as bait. Daemon, former bastard prince of Scotland and now head of the American vampire clans, sees Tezra as a danger to herself and to his people. Especially if the killer vampire takes her bait. Concerned his own brother might be accused of the crime, Daemon takes Tezra into custody, intending to keep her out of the way so he can find the killer himself. Things don’t work out the way either planned. The more she fights him with her telepathic powers, the more she stirs up his sexual bloodlust—the kind only a mate can cool. And Tezra begins to wonder…is her desire for him real, or just a way to use Daemon to find the murderer? It’s a deadly game they both aim to win—even while they try to keep their hearts intact. *** What was my inspiration for the story? Hmm, Dracula in a couple of plays...so suave, so sexy, who could easily make a girl swoon for him. What I didn't care for was the idea they had to sleep in coffins, with dirt, and were dead. :) Sooo, my version is very much alive. :) Just altered because of the Black Death in medieval times. Plus, some of those afflicted with the plague were altered in a different way--as nature's way of dealing with the vampire threat--hunters who had some of the abilities--the strength of the vampire, and the ability to deflect their mesmerizing gaze. Which puts them at more of an equal status. And like with my werewolf stories, there are good and bad of every kind. :) So if you'd like a little bite--check out Deadly Liaisons! :) My manager at the library came in after she had read it, her cheeks as red as her hair, her brows raised and said something to the effect it was really hot. :) Yep, no cold dead bodies in this story. And if they shapeshift, they prefer the wolf form. But then that doesn't surprise you, does it? Off to work some more on Wolf Fever! Plus, I'm teaching: December 1-12 (2 weeks--11 lessons--$10)

My editor just got back with me and said that the new title for Plight of the Wolf might be Wolf Fever. I love it! What does everyone else think? Terry

Okay, so I have all kinds of other difficulties, but I got my monitor to work and my clock to work. Woohoo!!!
But now I have mold!!! Argh. I coughed all night from it. So add that to the list of 3 termite inspectors, 1 appliance repairman, and 1.....mold reviewer....sing to the tune of the 12 Days of Christmas, and you've got it.
Do you think these little guys know that the one eats the other if he gets hungry?
Ignorance is bliss.
:) Have a super day!

First, I wanted to say that these wolves were actually celebrating their first Halloween at Wolf Howl Animal Preserve and this was their first pumpkin. These are sisters and the one is showing the other how to tackle the big orange thing. :)

And I wanted to share with you some beautiful pumpkin carvings. Afraid mine are pretty sad compared to these!
Third, I snatched Cheryl's man buns from last year on our Wickedly Romantic blog because no matter how much I searched for the perfect sexy wolfish hunk in male form, I couldn't find any Halloween guys...so he gets another year at best Halloween costume around. Don't you all agree???
Hope you have a wonderful Halloween! My daughter and her friends are coming over for scary movies and dinner--everyone's bringing something so it should be lots of fun!
Any special plans for Halloween for all of you paranormal fans out there?

This is how I feel, so excited, I'm rolling around in the snow! :)
Well, I may not really be famous--but at least I'm going to be in the City Newsletter this month for important news!!! All of it--the two new books sold, the fact To Tempt the Wolf is a new release, that 3 more are coming next year, that Heart of the Wolf made Publishers Weekly's Best Book of the Year. This news goes out to several thousand city government employees and the editor was ecstatic to include it. I wasn't sure they'd want to. But it's a nice change from the local newspaper--as my parents called it, the rag--that wouldn't publish a note about me even if I won a Pulitzer. That's the way they are.
They don't review books. They don't publish great news. All they do is write about kids playing in the water shooting out of a fire hydrant. Top story. Front page news. No kidding.
*sigh* I hear all the time how others get great news coverage in their home towns. So though this might not go out to all of the city...and not everyone will read the newsletter--I never have a chance to read it myself...although, ahem, I'll probably read this one--maybe one or two others might also.
And the more we can get the word out about werewolves and how terrific they truly are, the better. :)
Okay, I sent off Seduced by the Wolf to my editor, she wanted a synopsis ASAP so I worked on that last night, I'm ready to take the plunge back into Plight of the Wolf, and finish workshop lessons for Show vs Tell so I can get into Conflict, Conflict, Conflict, next month.
It's Wednesday, so have a happy hump day! I have to tell you, the water has gone down, soooo, that makes me REALLY happy! Although we have a 30% chance of rain today, and 70% tomorrow and 30% Friday.

 The
city of Portland and the surrounding area is where I have Heart of the
Wolf, Seduced by the Wolf, and the vampire romance, Deadly
Liaisons set. Treed, dotted with hills, and a majestic mountain backdrop of
Mt. Hood, what could be more perfect?
Teresa Bergen of Portland's Literary Scene interviewed me! Thanks, Teresa!
I had fun!
Now I just need an interview from Sacramento, California, because I was
born there, from Brevard County, Florida because I grew up there, from...well,
lots of places because I've lived all over. :)
*sigh*...maybe some day if I ever were to become famous, even the place I
now live might be interested. Or not. LOL
Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday! It was 87 on Wed and as muggy as
when I lived in Florida with heavy fog this morning. If I'd known, I would have
taken some nice vampire pictures. :)
Have a great day!
