The new album is titled 'Chez Nous' and it's now available for download at CD Baby.com and iTunes! The compilation features 13 smooth soul tracks from some of the world's brightest artists! The literal translation meaning "at our house" DJ COA and Myoshi are pleased with this public offering of international gems. With the likes of Tedjee, Jay Soul, Oddlogik, Paolo, and Wendisue, the collective is showcases a wide range of musical talent.

We have pieced together a slideshow for your listening pleasure so you may watch a sample of the artists and listen to the Chez Nous promo online! Also, you can gift this album on iTunes. Thanks for listening and also for your support. We hope you enjoy the music as much as we had fun making it for you.

Peace and love,

DJ COA

This is how it works. There are 15 nominees in each category for the 2007 SoulTracks Readers Choce Awards, the largest international awards dedicated to independent soul music. During late September, a group of over 1000 artists and other soul music industry representatives will vote to narrow this list down to five finalists in each category. Then in October thousands and thousands of SoulTracks readers will vote for the winners of this year's awards from that group of finalists. They're having an awards show in Detroit in November. Wish me luck!

I have to start by thanking all of you who made it out to Brooklyn for my show! The band and I received such a warm welcome and The Five Spot was packed on the 21st. Mike Hammond hosted the evening and Coultrain opened the room with a short acoustic set. I saw many familiar faces and a lot of new ones as well. It made us feel good that so many people came out to support like that. So THANK YOU! Here is a video of "Livin' for Me". Excuse the feedback in the beginning!

The song "Angel" off of my EP has been programmed into The Lounge on Music Choice! All you have to do is tune into Music Choice Smooth R&B at the times below. Drop by The Lounge to find mellow rhythmic grooves from old, new, and independent artists. Music Choice is available across the U.S. from most cable systems. Many thanks to George from Purpose Records and Akim from Music Choice for helping make this happen!

I wanted to thank everyone for their opening act suggestions and offers. It's a good feeling knowing people want to share the stage with lil' ol' me! :-) For all of you who responded, I will definitely keep you in mind for other shows or recommend you if something comes up. SO THANK YOU!

The person that's going to be opening for me on June 21st is COULTRAIN! He won me over with his song "Green" and he has great style. He's one to watch for sure. Check him out here:

For those of you in the NYC area, please come out and check us out. The show is only $5 bucks so bring 5 friends! I'll be having my full band backing me up so we're gonna be rockin'. Hope to see you there.

Peace,
Myoshi

Thanks for your votes and purchases! Myoshi: The EP has not only been voted into Soul Tracks Top 10 but I made a grand entrance at #1!

When you get a chance, please stop by Soul Tracks and continue to vote for my CD.

If you haven't purchased it yet, please click through the link at Soul Tracks (just click the cover of the cd). They track the sales and that's part of the determining factor of whether I'll stay in the Top 10 or not.

Thanks again for all of your support. And a big thanks to Chris over at Soul Tracks!

Peace,

Myoshi

"One of the best debut CDs of 2007 has to be Myoshi Marilla's The EP, a five-song set of instrument-laden, classic-meets-modern music, perfectly complimented by Myoshi's lush, jazzy vocals."

- Deb Hinds, PlanetSoul.com

Many MANY thanks to everyone who came out to my listening party at Vanels March 20th! It was a fun time. It was a packed house and amazing energy. I shared the evening with the phenomenal June April. If you haven't gotten her cd yet, you should check her out for sure. She's doing big things!

I have to give a HUGE thank you to the ladies who made it all happen. Pam and Detrel, the brains behind ONUTSS (One Nation Under The Soul Shack), made it an unforgettable evening. The turnout was wonderful and the two of them were too! They are really holding down the independent soul community here in NYC. I can't wait to see what they come up with next:-) Their professionalism and class are only exceeded by their beautiful spirits. Keep up the fabulous work!

I will do a quick rundown of some of the people who came out last night. I know I'm not going to remember everyone so please charge it to my head (& the Grey Goose) and not my heart. :-) My homie Mike Hammond hung out for a minute before running off to perform with Lis Withers. My cousin Soulflower was there along with Kris Marie all the way from NJ. :-) Andricka Hall was in the building acting up at the bar with Keith Fluitt (where's your Myspace page man?) and Tom Paul. Of course, DJ Renay was there! George from Purpose Records came out as usual (thanks for all the guidance!). Ish - Nouveau Soundz Super Soul Songstress Lorenda from Brown Baby Girl came through (you are a trip)! DeWayne was there reppin' for Karen Bernod (sorry you couldn't make it gurl!). My drummer Bean made an appearance. Mika came down from uptown, brought her crew, AND took fab pictures (thanks girl)! Welcome to NY Valashia. A big supporter of soul music, Digital Street R&B was in the house. Guess Stevens and fam. Brian from the Fuzz Band came representing for VA! Georgie was there looking dapper! Miles and Veronica came through with Darien (album coming soon). Visual artist Molaundo came through. Drea came with her whole crew. Feelin U came out to support. We had Walter who brought his Philly people. We had Connecticut in the house, Tracy from the Hamptons. Last but certainly not least, my stylist Lamonica Peterson came out. She styled me for the J List and she's still holdin' down my look. Thanks for hooking me up for the party girl! As I said I know I forgot some people. I just thank you ALL for coming out!

Knowing that so many people are diggin' what you're doing is an indescribable feeling. I thank each and every one of you for all the support. I hope to continue to bring you music you can vibe to!

Peace,

Myoshi

Hello Y'all,

I'm in the process of scoping out some spots for live performances (FINALLY)! I'm looking in the NY area first but I'm open to suggestions elsewhere. If you have some place you'd like to see me perform or think a particular venue will be a good fit for my tunes whether in the NY area or out, let me know.

If you are a booking agent and would like me and my band to come through a specific spot, please get in touch. I have an online media kit I'll shoot over to you.

Thanks and I'll see you on stage soon!

Peace,
Myoshi
