OK, I give in, I'm starting a Some Dog Blog or "Glog" as it's called by e-hepcats. Actually, I did start a Doggy Diary a few years back but when I started hearing fuckwitted dicks on the tube talking about Blogs I got the hump and have been sulking ever since. In fact, if you study your Internet history you'll find I actually invented blogging when I published diaries of Greenpeace members chasing nuclear waste shipments, french bomb tests and Brent Spars around the seas. When I started, Greenpeace didn't even realise I was doing it, when I finished the site was rated as one of the top ten web sites in the world. I think my favourite bit was when I published an audio file of the Chiliean Navy threatening to blow the waste ship out of the water according to the precautionary principal. That's not irony, I fucking hate irony now, it's better than irony, it's fucking hilaralious. "We do not advise that, given the nature of our cargo. Over" Al Baker's account of being blown off his bunk by the blast of a nuclear bomb, alone, locked up underground the French Navy, was moving. Blog. Bah! Humbug! Cunts! This was before the BBC even had a web site. In typical style I capitalised on this trail-blazing work by getting the arse. I don't often tell the truth but, for once, I am.
Anyway, this Glog is actually about our recording of Jackson. It's out on the What's Kickin' Volume 3 compilation CD now available for purchase online from http://www.zingg.co.uk/data/w/whatski00233/whatski00233.html.
Mark Lamarr played it on Radio 2 yesterday, and it sounded fucking great. He thought so too, and said so. He also said Some Dogs was a shit name. Twice. The guy's not stupid. If you don't believe me check it out, I've put a clip of it on our playlist. I'm going to listen to his show now because I actually want to know he says about other people. I might even start to like him. I'll keep you posted as our relationship progresses.
Many thanks to Blathering Stephen Ferguson for sticking us on the CD, Paul Laventhol for letting us abuse ourselves, and each other, in his studio and thanks Mark Lamarr for having a good ear and a dirty mouth.
Anyways, I've run out of steam, I think it must be time for my nap.
Howdy!
Jim Dog
