The best show of the year is here!! Join us on April 3rd for the Grand Slam FINALS and HawaiiSlam’s 5th Anniversary Show. On the night of the show, we will give priority in the line to ticket holders (in other words, we will let them in first), so get your tickets now!!

Our super special feature is Sekou (tha Misfit), a two-time National Poetry Slam Champion who has been featured on ABC World News, Good Morning America, twice on HBO’s Def Poetry Jam, MTV, BET, Showtime, Oprah Winfrey’s celebration of Maya Angelou’s 75th birthday, and P-Diddy’s Annual White Party. His poetry is so diverse that he has
featured at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, has been commissioned by the American Civil Liberties Union and the Sierra Club, and holds a residency at the annual Mind, Body, & Soul women’s retreat in Jamaica. Do not miss out on this slam legend!!

Plus, we’ve got the 12 best poets from the 2007-2008 season fighting for their metaphoric lives in an all out, three-round elimination match to determine the members of the 2008 HawaiiSlam team. The poets are: Sela, Tui Scanlan, Kealoha, Lyz Soto, Dar’ron, Stri, Intrepid, Jay Kaneaia, Alex Armstrong, TravisT, Liam Skilling, and Vince Murai. As always, the show will have live painters, a guest DJ, and massages in the lounge. This will indeed be the best poetry slam of the entire year (if you’ve ever been to a Grand Slam Finals, you know what we’re talking about).
