Good evening,

So we're getting through our tour and I thought I'd post something up. Firstly thankyou to everyone who came see us. We had fun. Loads of it. There was drinking, tattooing, speeding fines and plenty of laughs. There was waking up and realising you're in a van with your band, parked just off the M1. All the windows are steamed up and everyone is tired. Only difference is I then had to drive some more while everyone else got a proper sleep, but it was great. There was the realisation that paying £39 to stay in a Days Inn for the night is worth it after 6 nights in a van. There is only so long you can get away with staying in a mates uni halls and abusing her shower and toilet. There is also only so long that she'll put up with the smell!!!

We had our mates to keep us from going mad, I had the occasional southern comfort and bottle of wine to make me pass out either on the floor or in the van. Its an awesome feeling to know that wherever we go we will meet someone new, whether it be incredibly attractive women in uni halls or at shows, or random preachers in wolverhampton. I ask you this, would you want Joseph Fritzel in heaven? And what about those 'threads' you're wearing?

Its great to know that people still dont know the right way to use speech marks, especially when its a "chinese takeaway". Its also good to know that Graeme and Henry are in the band, cause they can punch at least a 747 - 815 if we ever need it !!!

It is a funny siuation when you dont know anyone, cause you'd be surprised how many people will actually listen and chat with you when you dont know a thing about each other. Although "sound engineers" sometimes dont really know who or what you, or they are doing. (Did you like the use of speech marks? What about those threads?)

Basically we had a blast. Enjoyed every minute, even playing to 1 guy from a band (as the rest of the band loaded out). We played the way we wanted to play and you know what, even when there is only one person there, that one person could be your biggest fan, and she watched and loved every minute of it. That is what makes you realise that what we do is actually awesome.

So some thankyous. Louise, where would we have been without you? Regular showers, use of the toilet, tea on demand and a tumble drier!!! Thankyou so much. It was also good to meet Rosie (WOW). Mr Nick Jones. Who goes on tour with a band for a week and gets a tattoo of it? This guy and he is, and was, awesome. Cheers man for the magic tricks, banter, laughs and loading in/out. You really kept us all from killing each other. The guy in Warsop. Not only did he put us up for the night, he got us all a drink and paid us, thankyou. Although you did give Nick and Graeme an excuse to run around naked!! To all our mates we met on the way. Will Strong man, was great to see you again mate. James Watt, our film guru!!! Cheers for your patience and skills. Thankyou to gorgeous Laura. You showed us an awesome time in Manchester and what a way to end the stint of gigs, PARTY TIME!!!! Finally a thanks to those of you who came to shows, took a cd and congratulated us on our show. It really is appreciated.

When I left for tour I was told something:

"Remember son. You are living your future memories, so have fun and enjoy it." - Daddy H, Oct 2009

I am so glad I had the time of my life. See you all soon.

Jon

Hey all, you can catch a live review of our set at 229 club in this months The Fly magazine written by Mischa Pearlman who also writes for Kerrang.  The review's next to Pearl Jam's.

http://www.the-fly.co.uk/media/magazine/5806/september-2009

One of the first gigs they've played with an extra member instead of just a laptop, Spectrum 7's new augmented line-up manages to dominate the low-ceilinged, claustrophobic stage of the 229 club.  Vicious electronics crash and smash and bash about with furious guitars to create a sense of musical urgency and emergency.

And although the acoustics aren't too great, muffling the band's intricate and complex soundscapes, their songs are strong enough to break through the dull muddiness of the bad PA and inject a little bit of vitality and energy into a thankful and delighted crowd.  A powerful, impressive performance.

Nice!

Hey you folks. Well last night we had a crazy party as we signed the contracts and made ourselves official to the Xtra Mile Recordings company. If only everyone could have been there! We went to a popular public house, got 3 becks, a lemonade and a tap water, a pint of tap water yeah!!! Its was crazy and super intense. It nearly kicked off when it came to paying. I gave the bar bird my card it didn't work! She got alittle "hot under the collar" so greame steps up and pays yeah, what a night. So the deal is done. What else is going on. Well there's a awesome video on its way and there's a single out you know!!!!! Its called BLUEWRAY, you'll get fucking everywhere!!! iTunes, Play.com, Amazon, 7Digital all over the place.

The video for the single is nearly completed with our good friends James Watt at StitchThat productions working anyway in his studio. And If I am honest, IT LOOKS SICK!!! So look forward to it chaps and chapettes. We're hoping to get a tour sorted soon so come see us, also you've all gotta come meet the new addition to our family, Mr. Henry. He's not a hoover, he is a keyboardist and guitarist! And he is awesome.

Take it easy folks, thanks for reading and listening and hopefully buying our stuff, it really is so so so so awesome. Thanks and cheery bye.

Hey all, been a little quiet but thats cos we've been waiting to confirm this:

We're just in the process of signing the contracts but basically we're signing to Xtra Mile recordings (Frank Turner, XCerts, Reuben, Million Dead) - We've been massive fans of what they do and the bands they've put on for ages so naturally we're pretty chuffed about this.  The first single is called 'Blue Wray' and you can hear it on the myspace now - it'll be released as a digital download on July 27th on all major download sites.

We've got lots more in the pipeline and we'll be playing a single launch at the Cellar Bar in Bracknell on July 26th - there's gonna be freebies and a special set so really hope you can all make it.  Hoping to have some limited edition hard copies too but we'll see.

Anyway, thanks a lot guys.  This is just the start and we can't wait to carry on playing more shows and getting the word out.  Please help and tell all your friends!

See you soon

So Tour's over now, we had two fun shows and a big big drink.. and frankly normal life is going to seem horrific.

a few things we've learned over the past few weeks::

All Soundmen must now be called 'Bison' and have amazing taches.

Don't play Comedy Pub if you use a distortion pedal. In fact probably don't play there at all.

PC World may as well tell you to give them a blowjob if you want a decent laptop power supply for under £60.

Don't ever interrupt a song in Darlington when the kids are getting their dance on.

A van is a comfortable place to sleep, and becomes more comfortable when you realise how much money you saved. a gearstick is not a massage wand though. We love our van.. in a purely platonic non penetrative sex manner

Different accents are great.

Interviews are fun!  Especially in VIP areas of former strip clubs.

Punching legs and taking punches back seems hilarious at the time but devastating in the morning.  Unless you like massive bruises that look like you just had some sort of haemorrage.

The whitest man in Surrey will own any Snoop Dogg impression you can muster.
Awww hell no

driving into the dawn of a new day is amazing at the time.. quickly becomes devastating when you have to work in 5 hours time.

Free food and drink is automatically the greatest food and drink you will ever consume. A bargain Pizza and chips becomes

All vital lessons..we had a blast though - we played with some damn good bands and we just can't wait to get back out there again.  Whats amazing is we pretty much broke even and every promoter was great to us.  So thanks for that guys!

For now, lots to do. Now lets see what we can do with this here album...

where my hounds at?
