El proximo mes de noviembre entre los días 9 y 11 se celebrará en nuestra ciudad, Toledo, el I Concilio Ateo , al parecer y tras no pocos problemas, en el Circulo de Arte (Pza de San Vivente, en el casco histórico).
El Ecxmo Ayuntamiento de Toledo, gobernado, no lo olvidemos, por la coalición supuestamente de izquierdas PSOE-IU ,ha puesto bastantes trabas a la organización del encuentro, como la no cesión del Centro Social del polígono y la imposción de no exponer una serie de fotografías "pornográficas",aludiendo al supuesto caracter provocador e irreverente del evento.
Parece mentira que a estas alturas todavía sea considerado subversivo el defender la ciencia como norma que rija la convivencia de la sociedad, en oposición a la teocracia que sigue imperando.
Desde las instituciones que pagamos todos (tanto creyentes como ateos) lo que se hace es defender a capa y espada a la iglesia católica y las ideas sus jerifaltes, como a nuestro queridisimo obispo Cañizares.
Por eso queremos expresar nuestro apoyo a dicho evento, en instamos a todos los toledanos a que hagan lo mismo, tanto si comparten como si no las ideas que se van a defender en el encuentro, ya que la libertad de expresión está por encima de creencias, o al menos debería.

Next month, between the 9th and 11th of November, the I Atheistic Council will be held in our city, ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Toledo. After several problems, this Council will apparently take place in the "Circulo de Arte"(San Vicente Square), in the historic center.
The City Council of Toledo, governed -let us not forget- by the supposedly left-wing coalition PSOE-IU, has hindered this council from being held by denying the use of the Social Center and prohibiting some series of photographs from being exposed in public due to their supposed "pornographic" content -alluding to the alleged provocative and irreverent nature of the event.
It seems that, in the 21th century, it is still considered subversive to defend the science as a rule governing the coexistence of society, in opposition to the theocracy that continues to prevail.
The public institutions that we all support with our taxes (both believers and atheists) defend the Catholic Church, its leader's ideas, and our beloved Catholic Bishop Cañizares.
That is why we wish to express our support for this event, we urge all people living in Toledo to do the same, whether or not they share the ideas that are going to be defended at the meeting, because freedom of expression is beyond our own ideas or at least it should be.
