I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday,got merry, ate like a fat kid in a cake shop, and danced till ya feet were sore!!!

My next gig is on the 6th of October, I really hope as many of you as possible can make it down. Tell all your mates as it's gonna be a big one with some fantastic acts other acts on at The Wandsworth Palais, with the Showcase:LIVE team.

In October, there will be no BBQ' S or holidays , so make the effort to party with me and my band and get out of the holiday blues...

I realise I haven't updated my blogs for quite some time now, so for those of you that care, here is some info of what's going on in JMC land.....

I just finished my most recent gig on 31st of July 2009 at the 229 in Great Portland St , and my band were rocking and amazing as usual... I have been gigging at the 229 quite a bit over the past few months.

I also did a great gig on June the 17th at The Half Moon Putney,  supporting 80's band Curiosity Killed the Cat, and even ended up taking part in an impromptu jam at the end of CKTC's set, and duetting with the lead singer, Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot at the end of the night.

 

This year I would also like to thank Dave Charles from Harborough fm for constantly supporting my career, and playing my music so regularly! Champions like Dave are so important at such an early stage of my career....

More thanks go to NerveCast Radio, UIC Radio ( in Chicago!), BBC Radio Essex Introducing and Radio Basingstoke for playing my tracks this year. 

I have also been played on a new radio station called Lick Fm,promoted by George Eason, (whom I met through performing at the Showcase:LIVE gigs I did in London), on Lick Fm (www.lickfm.fmplayer.html).., which is played across Southern Spain and on the web.

I am so grateful and thankful for some of the comments I have received on air and through e-mail about the tracks, and I appreciate the support.

I also recently thought up I'd brush up on my dancing, (as I have missed it lately), and so I took part in one of Kimberly Wyatt's (the bendy, sexy one from The PussyCat Dolls) masterclasses, which fortunately enough took place a bus ride from where I live.
I even got singled out by Kim to show my 'sassy sexy strut' to the rest of the class!!, which is a HUGE compliment, coming from the sassiest, and sexiest Pussycat Doll herself. 

Kimberly is not only a hugely talented dancer, but also a lovely, warm and very spiritual woman who came across as so friendly and kind in the question and answer session at the end of the class.
 


Aside from all of this I have been keeping at doing my vocal practice as much as possible, and this month sees me getting back into the recording studio, finishing some tracks, and working on some new ones too. 

My team and I are also working on some video footage, which will include interviews and some various things I have been up to, plus a few suprises. So stay tuned for news and updates about that....

My next gig coming up is at the brilliant 229 Club , Great Portland St W1, on the 14th May 09.
It is very easy to get to , in fact it is a stones throw away from Great Portland St tube station. 
This gig will be £6 entrance fee before 7.30pm , and £8 any time after that on the guest list. I am on stage at 8.30pm.
 
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and some new faces !

Hello ! How are you? Here is some of my news:
   
Mike and Ollie played my song' Kissing a Porn Star' on BBC RADIO ESSEX' again. Which I am most grateful for.

Dave Charles of Harborough FM, has also played 'Kissing A Porn Star' twice on his show: www.harboroughfm.co.uk.
Harborough FM  has had the likes of The Tings Tings on air , so I am very grateful to be featured on their show.  I will be doing a live interview with the guys very soon, so watch this space....

'Dooleys Toffee Liqueur' will also be using my song ' Save Me From Today' on their advertisment for the Liqueur. I think it will be shown on Living TV , but when I know some more about this  I will let you know...

 
I am very excited as things are really starting to move forward for me. It looks like I will be doing a few more radio shows in the next month, and I am also looking forward to my gig at ' Studio Valbonne' on 2nd April.

So I have an new track up called ' Big Noise' . That's what I plan to make everywhere I go. People always say ' for such a little petite girl, you can sing',  or ' be more like this/ dress more like this/ act more like this', blah blah ,blah( like they expect coz I am young, confident and a woman I should shut my gob , bite the bullet, however you wanna put it...), ... so this song is a sort of ' Hey! - listen up- I am here to stay' and a fingers up to anyone who thinks otherwise.
 
I have also recently shot a short film which was a  random experience for me. It was 1920's theme and about a movie star, part of ' Richard and Judy's book club' . It's gonna be on 'Watch' channel 109 ( Sky) at around 6pm on Wednesday 11th March. So for anyone who wants to have a bit of a giggle at me putting my hand to something a lil different, tune in then!
 
I am doing another gig this time at Studio Valbonne , on Kingly St, April 2nd  ... so please come down and watch the J Marie Cooper team rocking out!
Each show is getting better and better, so don't miss out.
Writing a few more rocking tunes, and getting this show on the road ... so stay tuned, and be part of the fun!

Hey all,
I have a gig coming up on Friday the 20th at The Zigfrid, which is 11 Hoxton Square, ( underground part of the bar), and I am on first at about 7.45PM.
Come down! It is free entry , and on a Friday I would say that is a good deal. There are two other acts on aswell, and you will be in the heart of Shoreditch, if you want to continue partying afterwards.
I am currently looking for the right manager, so if any of you happen to reading this, get yourselves to my gig.
Another bit of great news , is that my song ' Kissing A Porn Star' , made it's worldwide debut , on 'BBC Essex Introducing' this Friday just gone.( 103.5PM). Thnaks to Mike and Ollie who have alos invited me back to do a live session in the studio.
 
Things are really great for me at the moment , so make sure you get to my next gig.
