Hey all....what a great summer it's been so far.  We've been part of a lot of fun gigs and jammed w/ some great acts thus so far.  We're super excited to be a part of Three Heads Company after performing at the first annual 'Company Picnic' recently.  If you haven't caught wind of this production yet, check out www.myspace.com/threeheadsco
These guys got all Three of their heads in the right place and are full of vision as far as we're concerned.

In other exciting news, we are recording a FULL LENGTH LIVE ALBUM @ Martha's Midway Tavern in Mishawaka, IN!!  We have been kicking around the idea of doing another Live Album w/ master recorder/producer Andy Peck from Dirty White Couch Studios in South Bend.  Andy recorded and produced the first few albums of South Bend legends Umphrey's McGee and has a long standing relationship w/ Jassy Grazz since recording 'Neckbreaka' and 'Upstroke' w/ us over the past 4 yrs.  We are very excited to have him putting all of our new material down on record at our favorite local haunt.  This album is in part a nod to Martha's Midway.  This venue, along w/ the staff there, have been the biggest supporters of LIVE ORIGINAL MUSIC since 1927 as far as the Midwest is concerned.  More info to follow on the history of Martha's....just know that we will be recording 2 nights worth of music, details are as follows:

Pay $8.00, get into the show, we will take down your info @ the door & you'll recieve this album that you will be a part of when it comes out later this year!!  Or...pay a $3 cover and catch the show.
We are actually using the $$$ from this show to pay for the album, so be a part of this and make some noise between tracks!!!!

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1st....9:00pm-1:??

SUNDAY, AUGUST 2nd....7:00pm JG will perform one long set...This show is entirely FREE all together.  If you would like to show up and pre-order and pay for the album we will take your info down.

Fans willing to pre-pay and help us pay for the recording of this will recieve an advanced copy and free extra goodies, along w/ the extra added discount.  We are hoping that you will all be a part of what will be our best album yet.  Also, Anna  Campell will be rejoining us to make this an even more special event!!!

What's up all....

Check us out this summer, as things are startin' to pick back up for the JG crew.  We just finished writing a new original titled 'Elephant Gun.'  Chinese Finger Trap was a name that was kicked around prior to Elephant Gun.  It is an instrumental that Randy, Mullins, Ryan, and good friend Eli Kahn started working on awhile back.  It has finally come to fruition and we're stoked to play it for you all.

Also, we are recording a LIVE ALBUM on August 1st & 2nd @ Martha's Midway in Mishawaka!!  The album will consist of much of the new material we have written within the past year...more news to come on that!

Hello to everyone out there!

We hope this update finds you all doing well and enjoying some long awaited warm weather.  We’ve been real busy at our new practice spot compliments of Mr. John Popa.  The new room has proved to be a breath of fresh air for Jassy Grazz, as we’ve been pumping out new originals as well as learning new covers at a very fast rate!  We performed new originals ‘Cathartic’, ‘Long Winter’, as well as ‘Town 2 Town’ last month at our so-called return from hiatus shows.  We have even more new material that will premiere later this month at Constant Spring in Goshen , IN.   We’ve been mixing it up with some new covers, which has been interesting.  Expect to here some Faith No More, The Police, Justin Timberlake and a few others at our upcoming shows!

The months of June & July will be picking up for us as usual, as we’ll be hitting up Valparaiso, Indy, and back to South Bend for our first show at Riverside Tavern.  Coming up, you’ll definitely want to make it out on Saturday, May 23rd:

Hey all you JG fans! Anna here...
Just wanted to follow up with you all in regards to some of the news you may have been reading in some of the JG newsletters.  Yes, it's true.  I've decided to take this time in '09 to dedicate my time to my family.  For those of you who don't know I have 3 beautiful kids ages 8,3, and 1.  They are the light of my life.

This decision hasn't been made lightly to say the least.  Jassy Grazz has been a huge part of my life and has always been the longest standing relationship I've ever had. :)  I've never had as much fun chasing my dreams in music as I have with these guys.  This band has an unbelieveable chemistry that I am confident will continue for a very long time.  I've grown so much musically from being able to be a part of it and will always cherish the time I've spent with these guys.
However, even though I will no longer be playing a full time part in this band from here on out, I will not be disappearing permanently.  I will continue to support the band in many ways and do whatever I can behind the scenes with some promo work from home.  I also plan on coming out to surprise you all from time to time for some guest appearances.

I am pleased to say that this decision has in no way damaged any of our friendships and we will all remain strongly united as a family with eachother.  I am looking forward to seeing JG continue to grow musically and hope you are doing the same.  I want to thank everyone for all of their support through the years and look forward to the next time I get to see these guys rocking out on stage.

Good luck to you guys!  I love you and wish you all the best in the world!!!

Hello All....Randy here to update you all on what's been going on with JG.  We're taking a little break right now to charge our batteries and to write new material.  So far, it's been really good for us.  We've written two new originals so far that sound very different from what we've done in the past.  One of the new tunes actually sounds like a metal song produced by Dr.Dre...that's the best way I can put it.  It's a little more progressive for us and we're excited to play it out.
In other news, Anna has decided to dedicate more time to her family in 2009 and will not be joining us on the road.  She will still sit in here and there with us at local shows....but our new material is being written without her.  We wish all the best to Anna & Caleb and their family.  She has been a great asset to the band for many years now and will be missed!
Not to worry though, the new material is rockin' so far...
Other than that, we already have several shows booked that will be posted soon.  Our first show back will be at our favorite local haunt, Martha's Midway in Mishawaka.  Look for us there on April 4th.  Depending on what is going on, Anna may join us as well.
Stay tuned!
-Randy
