The ABe Sada short tour of Japan is over.  Pex is still in Japan for a few more days, Karlos and Malcolm have gone back to Perth and Cat is on her way to Melbourne to play at Stutter and install a work at the RMIT Project Space.
Started off with a show at Club Dada at teh Castle, at 8.30pm. It was "Amp Stack"  - all the bass amps,. guitars and luggage were stacked up in a pile and left to feedback, with some interjection by members between beers. It was then into a taxi and off the the airport to Japan.
Sumo wrestlers, Onsen, beer, gyoza, ramen and sochyu..great bands, nice people.

Our first gig on the tour was just with Cat Hope and KFord, and was part of a music series entitled CHOPPA at a screening lounge above a cafe called PITCH BLACK in the Arab St district of Singapore. Abe Sada was augmented with local bassists ian Woo (visual artist by day) and grindcore bassist Mish. All seats were pushed into the middle of the room and the quartet played in the corners of this intimate venue. Lindsay Vickery also performed on melodian and Mas/msp, and the concert rounded off with a jam for all concerned. Sold a couple of CDs - the night went well. In between times, Cat went off and got her much awaited bass clef tatoo. Off to Tokyo tonight for a gig tommorrow night. Thanks to Dazza Moore and Lindsay Vickery for this gig.
