Hey everybody,

Just writing to let you know that we have a new myspace layout, in case you hadn't noticed. The layout was designed by myself, through the design company which I'm part of, called Melodic Creative — we hope you like it.

Along with the launch of this layout we have a new video for you to check out, entitled "Today I Caught the Plague vs Newfoundland" and new desktop backgrounds. We will also be posting new tourdates for the fall shortly, so watch for those.

Another new thing you may have noticed is the "Request TICTP" section. This is the first step in an initiative to create an on air presence for ourselves; an initiative that needs your help. If you'd be interested in helping us strengthen our position in the Canadian music scene, then please feel free to check out this section of the page.

Thank you to everyone, for reading this, checking out all the new stuff, and lending a hand if you so choose. Special thanks to Josh Asselstine for lending his photography talents, visible in our current myspace band shot.

Have a good summer, everybody. Much love,
Dave & TICTP

Hey everybody,

Wanted to let you know that anyone who is interested in knowing what touring with Today I Caught the Plague is like, or just how things are going for us on this tour, can get a little bit of an insiders view through a blog I've been working on titled Today I Toured and Blogged at this address: tictpdave.wordpress.com
. There are a few entries already available to read, along with a couple videos to watch, and the blog will continue to be updated as time, and interesting happenings allow.

Enjoy!

Digital sales of Today I Caught the Plague's Ms. Mary Mallon EP will now be available at all live shows — circumstances allowing. Those interested in acquiring the EP in digital format can now pick it up for $5 or choose to purchase particular songs at $1 each. The choice will also be available to acquire files in either .wav or 192 kbps .mp3 files; both choices come with a jpeg of the CD cover. All that is required of you to get your hands on these files is that you bring your own digital devices (flash drives, iPods, etc.) with any needed cables — if software is required to make your device work, we unfortunately will not be able to install it. The package is 289 MBs in size for WAVs and 39.9 MBs for MP3s, so make sure you have the room for whatever format you choose before purchasing.

Hey everyone!

Due to unfortunate circumstances with an abundance of sweet tours going through the West Coast at the same time that we wanted to, we will no longer be going through that area this year. We were all really stoked to travel out there this November and it's hard to think that we're going to be at home for such a long time. Thank you to all the promoters that tried so hard to help us out, even if you couldn't, you're replies still gave us a good amount of hope that this would happen!

So we're not really stoked about that news BUT we are very happy to inform everyone that we will be spending the winter months to do a number of things that we feel are very exciting.

The first thing we'd like to remind you guys about is our two upcoming shows this month! If you check the date's on our page you'll see that we are playing with Straight Reads The Line and Arise & Ruin at The Reverb in Toronto on October 29th! We have also been priveledged enough to play Halloween Hardcore this year with bands like Buried Inside and Fuck The Facts! If you're coming out to the show on Halloween make sure you show up early, dressed up better then we are! We are all super pumped to play both of these shows, come talk to us if you see us hanging around there!
As for shows after October, we are planning on doing a couple mini tours around Ontario and Quebec. Also, we will be doing everything in our power to get shows in surrounding areas on the weekends. If you want us to come play in you're city, send us a message on Myspace and we'll get back to you right away!

Incase some of you have been wondering, we have been working very very hard to bring all of you new music. And beleive us when we say, we have been writing a disgusting amount of material since the release of our album. New songs are well on their way and we couldn't be happier with the way the new material has been turning out! We will be keeping all of you very closely updated on all of this. If you want to actually HEAR a new song then don't worry! It bring us great happiness to tell you that we will be announcing a COAST TO COAST CANADIAN TOUR that will begin in 2009 and will stretch into every province of Canada. By the time that hapenns, we will be playing brand new songs that will be released on our next record!

A big thank you goes out to everyone who has helped us since we left for our first tour in July. Anyone who has came to a show, bought a shirt, hated us, liked us, hung out with us, whatever! You guys rule.
Until next time.

Hey everyone!

The purpose of this blog is to keep track of all of our previous, current and upcoming tour dates. Unlike the tour date section on our Myspace, these dates won't ever be deleted and will serve as a tool to let us remember where and when we have played. If your ever wondering where you saw us in the past, or where you can see us in the future, stop by this blog and it will tell you EVERYTHING!

Stay amazing

Why hello everybody!

It seems it has been quite sometime since we have given any form of Plague update to you all so here it goes!

As some of you may have noticed, there have been a number of changes going on over here in the crazy land we like to call Myspace. For starters, our very own Dave Journeaux has finally finished up the design for our brand new layout! We are all extremely excited to finally have a new design for all of you to look at and if you'd like to give us you're feedback, we would be whole-heartedly grateful!

Also, we have now put up our very own online Merch Store through Bigcartel. For anyone that is unable to make it out to a show this year, you now have the opportunity to buy any of our merchandise through our store! All the prices of our merchandise are the same as if you were to buy it at a show, simply transacted through the web. Shipping costs can also be viewed through the store and they will vary from wherever you are located!

Alright, so. What else? Oh yeah! TOUR!
Well, it's been just over 3 weeks since we left for the road and I can speak for everyone when I say that we all couldn't be any happier. We would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE we have met on the road so far, you have all made our trip everything we could have asked for. As for the band itself, we have been watching an absolutely disgusting amount of Planet Earth, eating a very unhealthy amount of things like tuna, noodles, chunky soup and peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Mmm, delicacy.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us over this filthy process, it really means alot to have so much support back home!

We love you all.

Until next time, PLAGUE TEAM ASSEMBLE.

Hey Everyone!
We are very pleased to announce that tomorrow we will be posting the mastered versions of both the songs you see up on our page right now. We're all extremely happy with the outcome of the songs and would like to thank West West Side for doing such an outstanding job and being so easy to work with. Along with the new songs, we will also be posting the front cover of our E.P. entitled Ms Marry Mallon.
In other news, we've posted the flyer for our CD release show on the left of our page. If you want to go ahead and steal that from us, we would appreciate it whole heartedly.

As of right now, we have just under a month until our CD is released independently on July 4th. Within the weeks leading up to it's release, we will be posting a different song on our page every week. On the actual date of it's release, the entire E.P. (yup, the whole god damned thing) will be posted on our Myspace for you to listen to. Your feedback is extremely important to us, so make sure you let us know what you think of the album!

Love,
TICTP

Hey everybody,

There's only one way to properly introduce this news update. There's good news, and there's bad news.

First the bad news…

We are sad to announce that due to circumstances beyond any of our control Matt Belanger will no longer be able to continue with Today I Caught the Plague. We wish Matt the best of luck in all his future endeavors and thank him for all his much appreciated contributions.

That being said, it is our pleasure to proudly introduce the 5th and 6th (yes 6th member) of "Today I Caught The Plague". (Drum roll please) We would like to give a warm welcome and an extra high five to ex- "There Were Thousands" members Eric Stone on bass, and Matt Young keyboards. Welcome brothers, there's no turning back now.

Now, for all of you out there riding the electronic waves of internet land. Please keep checking back to our myspace for the much anticipated mastered tracks, new songs and tour dates soon to come!

Cheers

Ben & T.I.C.T.P.

So round 2 of studio work is officially complete and it was a big round. A big, exhausting round. In the past few weeks we've recorded rhythm, lead and acoustic guitars, keyboard, singing, screaming and backup vocals. As a result we are happy to say that all tracking for the album has been finished.

The road ahead will consist of a fair share of mixing and monitoring to get things exactly where we want them followed by preparation of the material for final public release. It would be a huge understatement to say that we're very excited to finally share with everyone what we've been working on and to start hitting the stages hard.

As such we will be posting our 1st rough mixes of 2 songs tomorrow in appreciation of everyone's patience and support throughout the extensive creative process. We are looking forward with great anticipation to hearing everyone's feedback. We hope you enjoy the material and feel the same as all of us in that the project is the strongest we've been a part of to date.

In terms of hitting stages we will be making our first foray this weekend playing 3 shows with Protest the Hero. North Bay at The Wall on Saturday, and in Ottawa at Babylon both Sunday and Monday. Other bands on the Ottawa bills include Drillpoint on the 20th, Set Fire to Wicker Park on the 21st along with our very good and very talented friends in Pysiedius also joining the 21st bill.

For a look at what we've been up to the past couple months feel free to check out the newly updated pictures section of the page and if you've secured tickets to any of this weekend's shows we look forward to seeing you. Until then, keep well.

Hey guys,

So if you haven't heard the past two weeks have been a blast at Addictive Sound Studios. Our bass and drum tracks are done like dinner and Matt and Mike are getting some much needed R&R.

However the rest of us are busy as bee's (killer bees actually) getting ready for the tsunami of a task that is guitars starting in two weeks. In that time our good friends Market Fever will be inhabiting the studio to record there upcoming album due out in the not so distant future.

So until next time we give you some sweet pictures which can be viewed in the new Studio Shots album.

Have a good one,

T.I.C.T.P
