whilst rehearsing and trying to perfect a new song called 'injure yourself', pat ironically injured his amplifier..

at the peak of a beautiful crescendo pat posed the question "what's that smell, is it TCP?", we carried on playing with gusto and enthusiasm but then smoke started rising from the footswitch jack input on the top of said amplifier.

the smell was electrical burning. not TCP.

this incident reminded me of something a very very wise man once said, see below..

Had a great practice today at the cocktail factory, it's at the very top of the building, quite grand, somebody told me that they stream porn onto the massive windows when it's open at night, as some kind of arty thing, I don't know, sounds weird.

Practice went very well, working on three new songs at the moment, Steven's had a bit of a prolific writing spell, so we're encouraged. Listen to the song he's uploaded and you'll get an idea of what's going on.

Practiced for the first time in ages today, felt great. Started working on a song Steven has written, It's quite good, looking forward to performing it in a real LIVE rock show on stage some time in the near future.

In other news, we are playing at The Mad Ferret with SPOKES on the 25th March, which should be good, more on that soon...

and in an attempt to keep with the current times, we now have a Twitter account, which will be updated (hopefully more than this blog/myspace). Get all over that now...I heard it's the latest thing.

we have had to cancel the newcastle and leeds gigs as i am supporting the smashing pumpkins on a few gigs with my other band oceansize, we will still be playing the manchester gig at the saki bar as i will be running over from the m.e.n after ive finished..

..are going on tour together in feb 2008.

we are starting to look over ideas with the intention of recording a new album sometime this year.
