Another new EP is now available from LDWR, and our 13th continues the
trend of experimental sounds. Its also our second contribution from
Washington D.C. (Following Version 3 by BLK w/BEAR). Version 13 is by the fantastic TagCloud. Here is what he has to say: 'Hi,
I'm Chris from Washington DC. TagCloud is the catchall name for my
various naive experiments with remixing and manipulation of found
sounds and field recordings. All sounds here are from the source
material. I am still very new to this, so thanks to Justin for the chance to participate in this series. I thoroughly enjoyed it.' Contact: limbus4(at)gmail.com DOWNLOAD FOR FREE FROM THE LDWR WebsiteArtwork by Chris Baldwin

After an autumn break, LDWR is back with a fantastic set of tracks from Susan Hawkins.
Susan Hawkins is a composer and sound artist currently based in Australia. Previously known as one half of 'imaginationandmymother' (with Olivia Pisani), Susan has been developing musical work primarily concerned with exploring the conspiratorial relationship between sound, music and image in creating a platform for thought and reflection.
She has been artist in residence with CESTA (for the 11th Arts Festival of International, Interdisciplinary Collaborations, Czech Republic) and the Bundanon Trust (Australia), has participated in the International Course for Professional Composers and Choreographers (UK), and has worked on numerous interdisciplinary projects in Europe and North America.
Experimenting with different software and sampling techniques, Susan has made four unique remix postcards for the project. Visit her website for more information about her work...

Hi all,
We are delighted to announce the release of Version 9 of 14 Versions of the same EP by the wonderful Volume = Colour.
Go to the LDWR site for more info and for links to our free downloads. Volume = Colour are guitarist/artist Arthur Karanikas and musician/visualist Don Rogers, initially formed to perform closing night of the 2006 Melbourne Fringe Festival. They use images of Arthur's paintings to create visual projections around which a soundtrack of open ended, instrumental pieces is performed live. The concept has been performed multiple times in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, Australia - including 2007's Adelaide Fringe Festival. August 2008 sees Volume = Colour produce the 9th release in the Long Division With Remainders project series. For Version 9, Volume = Colour chose to integrate some of their existing recordings with material provided by LDWR. Employing the remix and collaborative skills of friends Cam Butler, Michael Munsun, Geosophy and Primitive Charlie, four radical reinterpretations have been created. Besides also playing in Infinite Decimals, members of Volume = Colour are currently working on their next audio-visual show, Lost To The City - 'an abstract film about the city' with a live soundtrack, debuting on closing night of the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival. More information about Volume = Colour can be found HERE. Best wishes for now, and stay tuned for the next version very soon, Please pass on the LDWR news to all your friends and family who enjoy free stuff, and great sounds. Also, the first release from our sister project Front & Follow is released on 1st September, on digital download and very limited CD – go HERE for more details. More info on this very soon. Hi all, Version 7 of 14 Versions of the same EP is out now, and is by Ken Peel. Ken's put his own spin on the core tracks, and made something fantastic. It's a real plasure to have him on board. Go to the LDWR site for more info and for links to our free downloads. More information about Ken can be found here on his fancy new website. Ken Peel is a producer and composer currently residing in Bristol, England, who describes his music as 'lounge electronica'. Ken's previous work includes the album 'Marginal' which has been compared to the music of Brian Eno, Harold Budd and David Sylvian. An occasional soundtrack composer, Ken developed the musical branding for the radio show The Chiller Cabinet formerly of Classic FM and now Chill DAB, produced by Ben Eshmade. Ken met Justin through The Arctic Circle, a loose community of musicians, artists, DJs and VJs curated by Ben Eshmade. Ken describes working on the LDWR tracks as "a real challenge, but one that is very welcome, and has proved very rewarding". Thanks to everyone who has left messages or emailed about the project, its really appreciated. The next EP will be with you in a months time. Please pass on the LDWR news to all your friends and family who enjoy free stuff, and great sounds. Justin LDWRx
