I have a new wishlist available full of delicious foot-based treats:
http://www.sub-shop.com/list-view.aspx?list=B45FE662-EC73-4A6A-B843-3F0540ABFA43

If you think you have what it takes to honour the tired, aching feet of someone much more worthy than you (you sad little freaks), then prove it to me. Buy me gifts. And if I think you have done yourself proud, I will treat you with a little gift... something like this:

Now, stop reading this and find something interesting to do, weirdos.

Film maker Bjorn Solarin was capturing footage of the on-stage performances at London Burlesque Festival this year for his film, with the working title British Burlesque. The trailer is now available to watch. Keep an eye out for a couple of shots of me performing my Winter act just after halfway through!

My MySpace inbox is empty...

...next job, emails!

Then I've got eBay listings to write - I think this week I'll concentrate on the comics and anime I have to get rid of.

Other jobs include finishing an article that I'm halfway through writing and making preparations for Hot Muffins tomorrow...

No time to blog! Must hop to it. x

I am in the process of putting together 3 new acts and will require 2 new corsets.

As I'm also about to get new promotional materials printed, now seems like an opportune time to seek out sponsorship.

As a part of the deal, I'm willing to offer:

Use of your garments on stage.
Copies of live photographs of your item(s) being worn on stage (where copyright permission has been granted).
A link to your website on vonbourbon.com, shakeitdoll.com (links page) and my social networking sites.
An advert on the reverse side of my promotional postcards (there is no text on the front).
I can also hand out your business cards whenever I am asked 'where did you get your corset from?' - which tends to happen at most events I work at.

If you would like to form a partnership with me, please drop me an email (preferred) - info[at]vonbourbon[dot]com - or private message and outline what you are able to offer me in return.

...it's been a while since I got my teeth into a good photoshoot and am itching to get another lined up soon. I've been on an adding rampage on modelmayhem(.com/beatrixvonbourbon) and have been gushing over delicious, rich, colourful shots.

I'm particularly interested in working with a creative stylist, as I'm sick of the same old self-styled red lipstick and black eyeliner shots that currently reign supreme in my portfolio!

If you're a photographer/stylist, or even better, a photographer and stylist team, interested in working with me on a mutually beneficial basis (portfolio development), then I'd love to hear from you. You can message me here, but it would be even more delightful if you'd take the time to email (so that I don't lose your message and details) - info[at]vonbourbon.com.

I'm quite willing to travel (and cover my own costs) for the right project.

I'm not interested in Tattoo Magazines.

I heard this rumour the other night. Supposedly I paid to be a "featured blog" on the MySpace front page in August last year.

This is a big bag of rancid lies.

The MySpace UK content manager stumbled upon my blog, found it interesting (back then I posted many more videos, links and thoughts than I do now) and asked if I'd be interested in being featured. Naturally, I replied "of course" and, filled with glee, found myself staring back at me when I logged in to the site later that evening.

So, nasty envious and discontent types - if you think you deserve to be featured too, the key is to be interesting.

Don't call MySpace, they will call you.

...so I've not had much time to work on new burlesque-related projects.

Instead, I'm spending 6 hours a day photographing clothes, editing said photographs and writing eBay listings. I have 2 big weekend bags overflowing with things to try and sell on eBay.

It started out being like a therapy, looking at all these remnants of a forgotten past and taking pride in all the personal growth I have undergone.

But now, I'm sick of being reminded of the past. It's beginning to tire me. In turn, this is pushing me to hurry up and get the damn things written.

I'm writing everything in Turbo Lister because I'm going away from Tues 14th to Fri 24th April - I need to activate the auctions remotely so that they finish upon my return to the UK.

Bring it on!

I'm currently researching corset makers for a new costume project I am about to start.

I'm looking for someone who can make something with a very accentuated waist and in-built suspender straps. It needs to be very decadent and I'd quite like you to be able to work with fabric supplied by me.

If you're interested in the commission, please leave me a comment here and I'll check out your photo albums. Please provide a link if your portfolio is held elsewhere.

Best,
Beatrix

OK, maybe not real lasers (yes, sad I know)... but metaphorical lasers. Lasers of love! When having a crazy, head-fuck, world-hating PMS time, all it takes is for someone close to take a deep breath on my behalf, give me a hug, and to tell me I'm not crazy, my hormones aren't crazy, this is normal, and it will pass.

Today I tried to go to the seaside, but the hormones got the better of me and I went home after 10 minutes.

And while at home I needed a distraction, so I started coding a new eBay template. I've found it surprisingly therapeutic, even by my own standards.

I've just had dinner and am going to start work on the template again. I need a music accompaniment. Something calm yet upbeat like Casey Dienel. Anyone got any recommendations for eMusic downloads??
