Dear friends,

We cannot thank you enough for the wonderful experience of having you guys there for our last show at Bowery Ballroom. It was truly special for us and we hope you had a blast as well.
Many thanks also to our fellow Family Records artists who all did a such great job: Wakey!Wakey!, Matt Singer and Pearl And The Beard.

We have a few treats for you.
First of all an amazing multi-media slide show with photos of the final rehearsal, soundcheck and Bowery show, set to audio recorded at all the aforementioned, created by our good friend Eric Townsend.
It's been embedded on our MySpace page so click on over.

Secondly, wow that last 'Roll Your Windows Down' will always be remembered by us as something very special.
Our dear friend Neilson of Jetty Productions captured the whole thing on video including your beautiful singing, which can also be viewed on our MySpace page.

We'll have some more surprises for you in the next week or two as far as Bowery Ballroom presents go.

THE FUTURE
Casey, Jeff and Wes would love to keep you informed of our music projects as we continue to work and/or play together in different formats.
A quick rundown of what you can expect in the near future:

Casey Shea - Casey will be doing something special with Family Records as he is set to release 6 singles and a full length album in the first half of 2009. Expect some great shows, featuring Jeff on guitar of course, as we take it up a few notches.
Check out Casey's regularly updated new blog with his special brand of video and written posts as he chronicles his next steps.

Jeff Jacobson - Jeff will be working on a new EP with Family Records, with both Casey and Wes involved, and he'll be playing shows with a few different exciting line-ups, including Saturday Nov 1st at 8pm at our dear Rockwood Music Hall. See you there! Oh and Jeff Jacobson doesn't believe in blogs.

Wes Verhoeve - Remember that guy Kyle Ervin that sang that great Sam & Dave duet with Casey at the Heavies' Bowery Ballroom show? Pretty great right? (I hear you ladies!) Well Kyle is the singer in a new band with Wes that will debuting this December (or so).
The band may or may not be called The Say-So's.
Wes will also continue to work hard to make Family Records a household name (Casey, Jeff, Wakey!Wakey!, Matt Singer, Pearl And The Beard, Gabriel Kahane) and Engine Room Recordings (Lowry, The Bloodsugars, Porter Block) too.
Keep up to date on his activities on the brand new WesleyVerhoeve. com.

Much love,
Wes, Jeff & Casey

We understand that we helped create the boy cried wolf thought by firing Jeff Jacobson several times, and bringing him back the next show, and so on the streets people have been winking at us and saying "ha last show, I'll be there" while giving us that all knowing "I get the joke" thumbs up, but the October 14th is truly our final official show as The Undisputed Heavyweights. That doesn't mean we don't love you anymore though.

Dear friends,

An exciting announcement from our end and one we bring you with the typical smiley swagger as well as a small tear. The Undisputed Heavyweights are headlining our biggest venue yet: the Bowery Ballroom. We are also playing our last official show. This happens to be the same night, October 14th, meaning that like The Beatles and Michael Jordan we will be going out on the motherfunking top people! We hope to have all of you that have supported us throughout our fun times together there to celebrate with us.

But fear not, this is not the last you'll hear from us. We will be hitting the town hard with three different projects soon after our last show as The Undisputed Heavyweights:

Casey Shea is back in town again for real, including a show at Rockwood this friday, and with both Jeff on his side on the guitar and Wes involved on the strategic side of things we'll be bringing you a new album in the near future, bigger and more exciting full band shows, and much more fun stuff. You can keep up with all the developments on a brand new blog chronicling Casey's return to town, and the process of writing/recording/performing new material.

Jeff Jacobson has still not left town and with both Casey and Wes involved he will be working on a new EP. He has a few shows coming up where he'll be experimenting with fun different band set ups, one of which is Sept 11th at Rockwood. He does not believe in blogs.

Wes has still not been deported and has been working on a brand-new music project with the likes on a few of your favorite local musicians. More news on this closer to the Bowery Ballroom show, which btw will be attended by several members of the family flying out from Europe. He will also continue working with a bunch of other great artists through Family Records (Wakey!Wakey!, Matt Singer, Pearl And The Beard, Gabriel Kahane) and Engine Room Recordings (Lowry, The Bloodsugars, Porter Block).

We're thrilled to be sharing the bill with three of our Family Records label mates: Wakey!Wakey!, Matt Singer and Pearl And The Beard. More will be revealed about the show itself, surprises, special guests and items, but for now trust us when we say we are working on making it as spectacular a circus as we can, and a night to remember. For now we suggest you purchase your tickets early and en masse here.
