The new year is upon us, and what better way to start it off than with a nomination for "Best Break Through DJ" at the 24th Edition of the ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL DANCE AWARDS in Miami, at the 2009 WMC's.

After the year Roger Shah has had in 2008, its no surprise that he would end up as a nominee for this prestigious award, especially in this category, so lets take a closer look at the past 12 months of Roger Shah.
 
The Past 12 Months:
 
- Debuted in the DJ Mag Top 100 in the #58 spot
- Released 3 hot albums on Armada
- Had the #1 downloaded dance Track on Beatport, and the #1 song on Armada
- Was the #1 selling artist on Armada
- Had 3 songs voted into the Top 20 of 2008, on Armin Van Buuren's "A State Of Trance"
- His "Sunlounger" project "Lost" was voted as the #1 track on Armin's "ASOT"
- Travelled the globe and debuted in a number of countries, at their biggest events and festivals
- Performed his smash hit "Going Wrong" live with Chris Jones at "Armin Only"
- Was a winner at "The 4th Annual Trance Awards" as one of the "Best New Faces of 2008"
- Currently ranked #33 on the Global DJ List
 
So as you can see, based on the past year, Roger Shah has every reason to be nominated as the "Best Break Through DJ" at the IDMA's, and the plans are already in place for an even bigger year in 2009 for the creative, music, engineering, wrecking machine, that is Roger Shah.

votes are in, the points are rewarded. This year’s A State of Trance
Top 20 has been another success! Listeners of the worldwide popular
radioshow of Armin van Buuren were able to vote for their 5 favourite
tracks of the year 2008. With a total of 12050 votes, it’s been another
success. This year’s winner is, with an amount of 1870 votes and 6278
points is Roger Shah’s ‘Sunlounger feat. Zara – Lost’. This Balearic
beauty is one of the many trance jewels that got released this year.


Sunlounger feat. Zara – Lost has just been released through the Magic
Island imprint. ‘Lost’ is a powerful, yet sensitive trancer. Already
featured on Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance 2008’ and now one of
the most played tunes, it got stuck in the heads of numerous Balearic
minded people and clubbers, and surely won’t be forgotten.

so my special thank goes to everybody who supported me the whole year. what an ending of an unbelievable and amazing year.
