I just wanted to be sure, that now in 2008, all of you have seen this amazing trailer of our friend Peter....

"OH MY GOD" is a length documentary that explores the relationship between man and what man thinks of God is, irrespective of religious or geographic boundaries. Shot across the globe, the film follows Peter's discovery of the stories of individuals. known and unknown, witnessing their opinions, their faith (or lack of faith), in order to try and find out what this entity - that goes with the name of God - really mean to them.

The shooting of this film hasn't been completed yet. Peter is still traveling.

Chicas are completely FAN of Peter's work...

Each time I saw the trailer I just cry...

More than the simple - hardiest - subject - this is just beautiful.... Peter has the eye of the photographer and he makes us travel around the world with so amazing images....

Everybody has to see this trailer!!! Just only 4 minutes and you will feel different!!!! Just Enjoy......

Zamuros Way the Story...

This is the recent story.... The one who makes us believing in the independant and participative cinema:
2004: The script is award by the CNAC (Centro Nacional Autonomo de Cinematografia de Venezuela) members in 2004, giving us a credit for "project development" which allowed to concretize the participation of Demian Bichir in Mexico among other things....

2005: We participate obviously, in the next competition of the CNAC category production help for "projects ready to shoot".... The members of the CNAC decide that there were problems of... SCRIPT!!!!!!....

How is this possible that in 2004 the script was award and some months later it does not please any more?..

2006: We participate for the 2d time in the same category, production help for "projects ready to shoot", the film is ready, the shooting is program for June, 2007, we have the support of international co-producers and actors who trust us and, after have been between the 2 finalists films, they reject us with the excuse of been indebted of the credit obtained in 2004 for the script...

After having some serious reunions with the CNAC why not to call the Director? Or the credit pledge (co-producers AyB Producciones) to find a solution? Or the producer to inform her about the problem?

Would it be because the co-author Alberto Barrera Tyszka recently Herralde 2006 Award with his novel La enfermedad ("The desease"), is a fanatic criticizes of the regime? Would it be because the Director has sign the referendum revocatoire in 2004 against Chavez?...

We hope that not.... Because we believe in the cinema as a free expression tool... We believe in the cinema as culture... We believe in the cinema as industry....

We wait for the "rendez vous" with the CNAC to pay off the debt (the prize) win in 2004) and, we will participate, once again! With all the accounts up to date, during the next edition of "production help for projects ready to shoot"... This time, we don't want another"Unforeseen" on our route...

A film is a mini-company which owes its good functioning to the professionalism of many technicians during a defined time... and we remind that if we are all free of our thoughts, then a film, a result of the work of all, has no political color... just the will to tell a good story...

And as would say Sir Winston Churchill "the possibility of the success lives in the capacity to go of defeat to defeat..."

We also participated in the competition of the CNC (Centre National de Cinematographie) "Fond Sud in France", category "production help for countries in development"... and they rejected us because it isn't an "auteur" film.... A word to the wise is enough...

We believe in the "latino" power, in our capacity to tell good stories and to DECIDE, of what we want to see on our screens.....

If we unite our strengths, we shall be the first ones at international level to success one professional feature film production 100% PARTICIPATIVE!

Les contaremos la historia reciente.... esa que nos ha llegado a creer en el cine independiente y participativo:
2004: El guion es premiado por los miembros del CNAC (Centro Nacional Autonomo de Cinematografia de Venezuela) dandonos un credito en la categoria "desarrollo de proyectos", que permitio concretisar el apoyo del protagionista Demian Bichir en Mexico entre otras cosas....

2005: Concursamos oviamente en el concurso siguiente del CNAC de ayuda a la produccion de "proyectos listo para rodar".... Los miembros del CNAC decidieron que habia problemas de... GUION!!!!!!....

¿Como es que el el 2004 el guion es arrechisimo y lo premian y unos meses mas tarde ya no les gusta?....

2006: Volvemos a concursar en la misma categoria, ya la pelicula esta lista para rodar en Junio 2007, tenemos apoyo de coproductores y de actores internacionales que confian en nuestro proyecto y, despues de estar entre los 2 films seleccionados, nos rechazan con la escusa de estar morosos con el credito obtenido en el 2004....

Despues de haber tenido varias reuniones serias con el CNAC ¿porque no llamaron al Director o a los fiadores para encontrar una solucion? ¿o a la productora para informarla del problema?....

¿Sera por que el coguionista Alberto Barrera Tyszka reciente ganador del prestigioso premio Espanol Herralde 2006 con su novela La enfermedad , es un critico mordaz del regimen? ¿Sera por que el Director firmo el referendum revocatorio de 2004?...

Esperamos que no.... Por que creemos en el cine como herramienta de expresion libre... Creemos en el cine como cultura... Creemos en el cine como industria...

Esperamos la cita del CNAC para pagar la deuda (devolver el premio del 2004) y participar, otra vez, con todas las cuentas al dia, en la proxima edicion del concurso "listo para rodar"... Esperamos esta vez, no tener ningun nuevo "imprevisto" en nuestro camino...

Una pelicula es una miniempresa que logra funcionar con muchos tecnicos durante un tiempo definido... y si recordamos que somos todos libres de pensamiento, entonces una pelicula, obra del trabajo de todos, no tiene color politico.... solo la simple voluntad de contar una buena historia.

Y como diria Sir Winston Churchill "la posibilidad del exito esta en la capacidad de ir de fracaso en fracaso..."

Participamos en el concurso del CNC (Centre National de la Cinematographie), el Fond Sud en Francia en la categoria de ayuda a la produccion para paises en via de desarrollo, y nos rechazaron porque no era una pelicula de "auteur"... A buen entendedor, pocas palabras...

Creemos en un cine latinoamericano totalmente independiente, que no tenga que rendirle cuentas a los centros autonomos de cualquier pais desarrollado que siguen pensando hoy en dia que en Latinoamerica solo hay que contar la historia del pobre ni..o callejero...

Creemos en el poder "latino", en nuestra capacidad para contar buenas historias, y para DECIDIR, SOLOS, lo que queremos ver en nuestras pantallas....

Si unimos fuerzas, seremos los primeros a nivel mundial en lograr una produccion de largometraje profesional totalmente PARTICIPATIVA!

Voici l'histoire recente.... celle qui nous a amene a croire au cinema independant et participatif:
2004: Le scenario est recompense par les membres du CNAC (Centro Nacional Autonomo de Cinematografia de Venezuela) otorgant un credit pour "developpement de projet" qui permit de concretiser la participation de Demian Bichir au Mexique entre autres choses....

2005: Nous participons evidemment, au concours suivant du CNAC d'aide a la production de "projets pret a tourner".... Les membres du CNAC decident qu'il y avait des problemes de... SCENARIO!!!!!!....

¿Comment est ce possible qu'en 2004 le scenario gagne un prix et quelques mois plus tard il ne plait plus?....

2006: Nous participons pour la 2eme fois dans la meme categorie, production de "projet pret a tourner", le film est pret, le tournage est programme pour Juin 2007, nous avons le soutien de coproducteurs et d'acteurs internatyionaux qui nous font confiance et, apres avoir ete entre les 2 films sfinalistes, ils nous rejettent avec l'excuse d'etre redevable du credit obtenu en 2004 pour le scenario....

Apres avoir eu quelques reunions serieuses avec le CNAC pourquoi n'ont ils pas appeler le Realisateur? ou la caution du credit (coproducteurs AyB Producciones) pour trouver une solution? ou la productrice pour l'informer du probleme?....

Serait ce parce que le co-auteur Alberto Barrera Tyszka recent alureat du Herralde 2006 avec sa nouvelle La enfermedad ("La Maladie"), est un mordu critique du regime? Serait ce parce que le Realisateur a signe le referendum revocatoire en 2004 contre Chavez?...

Nous esperons que non.... Parce que nous croyons au cinema comme outil d'expression libre... Nous croyons au cinema comme culture... Nous croyons au cinema comme industrie....

Nous attendons le rdv avec le CNAC afin de payer la dette (rembourser le prix gagne en 2004) et, participer, encore une fois!, avec tous les comptes à jour, lors de la prochaine edition d'aide a la production de "projet pret a tourner"... Nous esperons cette fois-ci ne pas avoir d'autres "imprevus" sur notre parcours...

Un film est une miniemprese qui doit son bon fonctionnement au professionalisme de beaucoup de techniciens pendant un temps defini... et nous rappelons que si nous sommes tous libre de nos pensees, alors un film, resultat du travail de tous, n'a pas de couleur polite.... juste la volonte de raconter une bonne histoire...

Et comme dirait Sir Winston Churchill "la possibilite du succes reside dans la capacite d'aller d'echec en echec..."

Nous avons aussi participe au concours du CNC (Centre National de Cinematographie) "Fond Sud en Francia", d'aide a la production pour pays en voie de developpemnt... et ils nous ont rejete parce que ce n'etait pas un film d'"auteur".... A bon entendeur, salut...

Nous croyons au pouvoir "latino", dans notre capacite a raconter de bonnes histoires et a DECIDER SEULS, de ce que nous voulons voir sur nos ecrans....

Si nous unissons nos forces, nous serons les premiers a niveau international a reussir une production de longmetrage professionnel totalment PARTICIPATIVE!

1975 : Caracas, Airam (Maria upside-down) has 4 months when her cousin Acirema (America upside-down) born. In spite of the estrangement from the childhood because Airam lives in France from her 5 years, the links which unite them are unique They always wished to work together

1993 : French school of Caracas, Airam and Wladymir are in Terminale and Vanessa in Seconde. Airam and Aci are very closed and Aci quickly ties up links with Wladymir and Vanessa. Airam and Wladymir get acquainted of Anairis, a family friend of Vanessa. Anairis works as film administrator with Javier Mujica, Vanessa's dad. A friendship was born. Anairis, Wladymir and Vanessa meet themselves on various film trays, notably on the shooting of "Un indien dans la ville". Aci's mum, Luci, is make-up woman for TV, had the occasion to work with Javier and Anairis. World is small... Between Caracas, Paris and New York they never lose sight.

Airam et Vanessa meet in Paris 3 years later, when they lead their studies without ever lose contact. Wladymir is going to join them after an experience in New York, and begins his profession as photographer assistant. Anairis finds them in Paris where she is going to be able to realize her postgraduate in international business And continue at the same time her profession in cinema.

1995 : Marne la Vallee University, Aisha, and Lamya meet in Economics faculty. Not far, in the faculty of Social Sciences, already very engaged, Vanessa, active member of UNEF-ID, prepares us a big demonstration... All students in 1st year, time of the first crazy endless laughter A real friendship born.

1997 : Paris X Nanterre University, Airam meets Lamya who came from Marne la Vallee University where she met an other Venezuelan girl : Vanessa. Lamya is Aisha's best friend. While the winter rages in Europe, Lamya and Airam leaves to the discovery of the Panama, where Aci takes them on its ground at the edge of the PacificIt is at this precise moment when our lives become personally entangled. They are going to meet Nicolas, friend of faculty of an other one French-Venezuelan of the French School of Caracas Our similar visions on the place of the culture in the world are going to move closer us

2003 2004 : Upset by the events which touched their country, the Venezuelans were having a dinner at Vanessa's when they decided that it was necessary to realize a documentary about the situation to speak about it in France, to try to understand how a society so cheerful could meet itself in edge of the civil war Airam and Vanessa, helped by Gilles director of Quand la mer monte" "When the sea rises" and Marie, write and meet Alain, producer at Agora Films where Marie works. One week later thanks to Alain they leave to shoot their 1st documentary "Dialogo de Sordos". (Deaf Dialogue in Caracas).On road sowed with obstacles, Airam and Vanessa worked together. Between the shooting and the postproduction, with Lamya and Marie, they decided to create their own production company Chicas Films. Lamya was in this time junior councilor in corporate creation. That falls well. The four girls decided to put their competences in common to bloom professionally.

2005 : Paris : "Dialogo de Sordos" is selected in the FIPA in Biarritz and in the 3rd Festival of the Human Rights in Paris. Airam is in a vocational training production (3is). There she knows Audrey. Vanessa is in Dominican Republic, on the Set of "Vers le Sud, length film directed by Laurent Cantet as 2d Assistant Director. Aisha leaves everything and begins new adventures. In Bahrain, she participates in the creation of the first magazine in French : Ohlala!!!

Middle East, she has the opportunity to create new bows, and rapidly they propose her organizing some events. She sees an opportunity to enlarge the project of her friends, and thinks about the possibility of writing another chapter to this beautiful adventure.

Since then she works actively with the Chicas, and attacks the coaching and the artists' promotion and also the project creation.

The projects concretize rapidly and the Chicas receive the support and the help of their friends of the whole life.

Aci and Anairis join the founding team naturally contributing their knowledge and contacts. Airam and Aisha are in the Cannes Film Festival looking for support for their new project of documentary series "The Lord Funk's Hunt", when they meet again with Audrey, who proposes her help for the draft of the constitution act and contracts. Besides she has her own project of short cultural program to defend, she becomes a Chicas naturally... Chicas Productions has born (Cannes 2005)...
