Time for my personal top 10 for October - as seen/heard on AudioPorn Central.com. For the full, aggregate AudioPorn Central Top 10 - have a look here.

Proud to say my mash-up with Billy Idol, RHCP, Bon Jovi and a few others made it to #4 on that list!

Thank you all!

#01 Magic Kids - Hey Boy [link]
Happy-go-lucky sunshine pop from Memphis, Tennessee. Reads like the Beach Boys hooking up with the other Spector, not ours. Pure pop bliss!

#02 The Found Sound Orchestra - The Sound of the Sun Falling [link]
Mr 9 is back - and I’m wondering: who the fuck are The Avalanches ??!!
#03 Röyksopp - This Must Be It (Rex The Dog K-DART Remix) [link]
How can you go wrong with an equation comprising Röyksopp, Rex the Dog AND Karin??!!

#04 The Phenomenal Handclap Band - 15 to 20 (Soundhog’s Extended Mix) [link]
Epic 12 minute electro odyssey from a first class bastard.

#05 Retro/Grade - Zoid [link] Tom Neville and Serge Santiago’s own little Pulstar pastiche. Fresh sounding space electro taking you straight back to the glory days of Italo.
#06 Saint Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart (Richard X Extended Vocal mix) [link]
Sarah Cracknell’s been breaking my heart from the word go. Nothing’s changed - except we’ve got a brill new remix by the X.

#07 Duck Sauce - aNYway [link]
Armand Van Helden and A-Track go bonkers NY disco funk style. Very very good.

#08 David Turpin - The Bone Dance [link]
Moody electro pop. Just what the doctor ordered. Very addictive.
#09 Local Natives - Camera Talk [link]
Arcade Fire on happier pills. Possibly visiting the beach. Or the Beach Boys….

#10 Mumford & Sons - The Cave [link]
Michael Stipe moves to London and starts a folk band. Kinda. Very good.

The good folks over at Mashstix made "The Other Wedding Song", my remix/mash-up with Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, and Bon Jovi, their no.1 in their weekly Top 10 Countdown show, the Radio Stix show!

Honoured, flattered and very happy. Cheers Mashstix!

Head over and grab the entire show - or listen / DL my track here.

#01 jj - Things will never be the same again [link]
Best song of the year - so far - IMHO. Lovely, dreamy, esoteric pop with vibes reminding me of some of Simon & Garfunkel’s finest moments.

#02 Cinnamon Chasers - Luv Deluxe [link]
Excellent, chilled dreamy electro with one of the best videos of the year.

#03 7 Worlds Collide - Too Blue [link]
Now, here’s what I call a super group. Neil Finn gathered everyone and their dog to a massive pop fest down under. Brilliant.

#04 Bad Lieutenant - Sink or Swim [link]
Bernard Summer reinvents New Order and launches a more guitar based pop band. Hook’s left, but the hooks are still there.

#05 Flying White Dots - CMYK [link]
Hard to pick a single tune as I always consider FWD’s albums as a single entity. Lovely, dreamy, trippy - per usual.

#06 Dunproofin’ - Pjanoo Dance [link]
Watch out for the transition from the Bowie bridge to the Prydz Pjanoo chorus. Amazing.

#07 Marc Johnce - Troublemaker Kills You [link]
Never saw this one coming. Excellent mashup with an electro punky feel, where Weezer hooks up with The Black Ghosts - and Damon Albarn.

#08 Scotty Dynamo - Make It Right [link]
Young Canadian combining electronic dance floor friendly beats with witty and poignant rap. Next big thing?

#09 The Girls Can Hear Us - I Know This Song [link] Excellent tune by Canadian TGCHU that kinda rekindled my interest in rap/hiphop/whatchamacallit. Watch out for the bass.

#10 MadMixMustang - The One I Love In The Morning [link]

This guy constantly hammers out brilliant mash-up combos. And guess what - he’s done it again. Razorlight (of all bands) adds a bit more edge to REMs classic.

So, this is a bit of a surprise, innit? Not really my cuppa and all. But I simply couldn't resist giving it a shot. Yes, it is another Beatport remix contest - this time for the Black Eyed Peas and their #1 single "I Gotta Feeling".

I kept [some of] the vocals. And ended up with some kind of Electro poppy thing. Sounds like… Copycat, I suppose. And a bit of fun. Really. Promise...

Click the link below and have a listen - and don't forget to VOTE/SPIN:

Yes, I've finally gone done a mashup again. It's been ages. This one's a gift for AudioPorn Central's second birthday. The blurb says it all, I guess. Listen/dl below - or head over to AudioPorn Central.

One of my absolute favorites during APC’s two-year existence is without a doubt Little Boots. We were quite early picking up La Hesketh and pretty soon her many unofficial tunes, remixes and long mixes became a staple on APC. We simply worshipped her and adored her impeccable taste in music, exemplified with numerous quirky covers and a BRILLIANT posse of remixers and producers by her side. Some days we could even post several of them in a row - in fact, it became kind of an challenge to scout new Little Boots related tracks and post them first…
Finally, when the big official debut release arrived, the magic was gone. Her first single was bland - and that’s me being kind. The rest of the new material on the album didn’t really impress me either. So I started to lose interest and found other obsessions. But when it was time to decide on a track for the AudioPorn Central anniversary, I couldn’t really see myself remixing anyone else than Little Boots. And just to make it interesting, I went for the aforementioned crap single - albeit in a terrific, wistful 80s infused remix by the ever so brilliant Fred Falke. Here it is accompanied by Duran Duran’s classic “Girls on Film”. My first mashup in ages. I’d almost forgot how fun it is to make them…
Happy birthday APC! And Simon, my brother, thank you! For everything.

You might remember the remix contest I entered for the Hungarian industrial electro outfit Pandagod. Got the word a few weeks back that my remix was one of the winners! :D

I turned the track into a bouncy electro pop number that apparently found its way to the band members' hearts. Thank you Pandagod - and thank you CrunchGear!

More info? Check Pandagod's site - or CrunchGear.

Missed the track? Listen/DL below.
