So I am coming up on my ten year class reunion in two weeks.  That is hard to accept.  I mean I am married and have a wonderful son, but have I really been out of high school that long? 

It will be nice to see people that I have not seen in a long time or have lost contact with.  It will not be fun to have those awkward conversations with those people that you don't really remember! 

The truth is I am getting old, but I don't really want to believe it.  I prefer to think that I am "growing older, but not up".

I am new to this whole my space deal, so I will get better as we go with this stuff!!  A few random thoughts over the last week...

-Checked out Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band last Friday night in Atlanta in a monsoon complete with lightning.  That did not stop all 20,000 people packing the amphitheater and the band putting on one hell of a show! 

-Checked out the new north endzone additions at the football stadium in Tuscaloosa today. Wow!!  It looks great.  There are huge scoreboards everywhere.  Other schools should take notice.  One thing - the stadium should read Bryant-Tuberville Stadium.

-Check out the new Emmy Lou Harris/Mark Knopfler album.  It will be well worth your time.

-John Hiatt will be backed by the North Mississippi All Stars in Birmingham a week from Friday night at City Stages.  That will be a rocking show!

-Steve McNair is being traded to the Baltimore Ravens.  He just won't look the same in a Ravens uniform.  None-the-less, he will be reconnected with Derek Mason and we know that they are a lethal tandem!!
