Current mood:  tired

So I win this Marlboro contest, for being on their mailing list, right?
It's a free ride in a racecar, at the Dover Speedway. I dont really give two shits, and would have skipped out on it completely, but my dad is kind of in to NASCAR, and I never spend any time with him besides work, so I decide to go. He offers to drive, and picks me up at around 9 this morning. We get about 5 miles from the Bay Bridge, and the traffic is unbelievable. It literally took us 4 hours to get across the bridge from there. We heard that it was caused by an accident, a tractor trailer. When we finally got to cross the bridge, we saw the truck in the water next to the bridge. Once over the bridge, the traffic cleared quickly, but when we finally arrived at the racetrack, they told us that we were too late. I mostly lamented about the waste of a perfectly good Sunday, but my dad seemed pretty bummed out that he didn't get to ride in the racecars. See what I get for trying to be nice?

Current mood:  busy
I can't remember the last time I've left Baltimore for more than a day. I'm feeling stagnant, perpetually bored. But I'm gonna fix that!!!
I've decided to do some traveling, a bunch of us are buying Burning Man tix tomorrow, but it's not till August. I need a fix soon. I'm thinkin a trip to NY to see Becca in early spring, Ragnarok in May, Perhaps Rainbow in July. I'd like to go back to NOLA, my hometown again too. So if you want me to come visit you lemme know!!!
ok before I go I need to...
-save money, this means no skipping work or getting sick (eat vitamins)
-get Comanche running better
-get my teeth fixed
-set myself on fire, wait no thats stupid
Seriously if you catch me skipping work I want you to berate me and/or kick my ass.

Current mood:  adventurous
Ok, so I get up this morning to find the world completely frozen. 83 is shut down at Coldspring, presumably for an accident. Northern is open though, and I slip and slide my way onto the onramp. Accidents everywhere. Literally every few yards. The other side of the highway is at a complete standstill, police and ambulances abundant. A black sedan attempts to pass me on the left, but slides off the road and into the guardrail. The car doesn't stop, but grinds along the rail towards another car that had hit the rail head on a few yards away. My eyes widen as the sedan slides back onto the road and directly towrds me. I brace for the impact, but it never comes. The driver regains control of their vehicle. I merge to the right lane and drive no more than 45 mph the rest of the way to work.

Current mood:  confused
So I finally quit my dad's company after working for him basically my entire life. Another plaster company hired me right away tho, and I started working again today. In Wilmington fucking Delaware. Actually it's not too bad, I get my own hotel room and 30 bux to spend each day. And it's way cleaner than Wax's :)
I'm pretty excited about the career change, even tho my dad thinks I'm a traitor. The shop is only 4 blocks from home and they are supposed to teach me some advanced stuff I've always wanted to learn.
Ok I'm gonna check out the mall across the street and get some dinner. Ciao!!!

Current mood:  awake
So this weekend Hobbit and I jumped in a car with Meg and Melody and went down to the Great Dismal Swamp, North Carolina.  More specifically to the Feral House, for their annual Swamp Fest.  After a 5 hour drive, we rolled up a really bumpy dirt driveway, with thoughts of chainsaw massacres dancing in our heads, and sure enough we pass a very small graveyard.  When I got out of the car, tho i noticed Jsaon and Tate chilling amongst the throng of people on the porch.  That was cool, since there were some people i actually knew there.  Everyone turned out to be really friendly and cool though, and introduced themselves immediately.  So friday we set our camp behind the house, and I preceded to drink myself into oblivion.  We also snuck on to some crazy farmer's land for a swim.  Saturday there were workshops on sexuality and patriarchy, winemaking, herbs, cpr, and body image. then we made a huge chili and rice and beans dinner for everyone, and got back to drinkin.  alot of people showed up that night, and it was a really good time.  Apparently by the end of the night I passed out by the fire cuddling a potted shrubbery.  Oh it rained alot saturday too.  Sunday there were more workshops planned and a fish fry, but we had to get back to Md.  So we said our goodbyes and headed out,  I had an absolute blast down there, I'm definitely gonna go back next year.  Up the Feral Haus!!!

Current mood:  thankful

So I traded my hernia in for a 8 inch scar.  I've also lost feeling in part of my right thigh, due to some nerves being severed in the operation.  Tim says the feeling will come back somewhat tho.  I'm doing well, recovering at my dad's in Finksburg.  Every day I can move around more and I'll be back in bmore in a few more days, hopefully. To everyone who came to visit me during my recovery, and everyone else who is thinking of me, a hearty Thank You!!!  My friends truly do rule and I would be nothing without them. :)  See yall soon!!!
