So, the Stereo Chromatic show that was scheduled for the beginning of March has been postponed.  The date just wasn't gonna work out.  But fear not!  We will be rescheduling the show for a later date!  We'll keep you updated.  Byyyyaaah!

If you haven't seen us or heard us, or talked to us lately...We have a guitarist. His name is Peter, and he totally rocks. He added a much need element to the band. I don't know what we did without him. Angela, and I fell the same way about Blake, our drummer. We are really rockin' now. Come check out our upcoming shows.

So, as you may or may not know, we played the KRFH 16th Birthday Bash on Friday night, and it kicked ass! And, Justin (bassist of Laden Swallow), who was running sound recorded us! So, soon we will actually be like a real band on Myspace and have music up on our page! What I have to say to that is Hell Fucking Yeah! So, keep your eyes and ears peeled for our music!

News Flash!!!

Mega-Total Violence drummer Icebox Malloy will once again have a weekly internet-radio show on Humboldt State University's Student-Run Radio Station: KRFH! 

Show time to be confirmed, but it will probably be every Wednesday night from 9pm to 11pm.  So go to www.krfh.net and check out Icebox Malloy and the rest of the awesome KRFH DJs.  You can make online requests, send the DJs messages and listen to some damn good music.  So check it out, www.krfh.net starts broadcasting live, Monday, August 28th at 9am!

The guy we were going to have play moved. We would like to start trying out new people.


The requirements are:

-A commitment to practice, and the idea of Mega-Total Violence
-A love for everything done to the extreme...sounds like an X Games/Mountain Dew thing, but it's not.
-A fun, and outgoing personality.
-Your own equipment. It does not have to be fancy, just loud enough to play a show.
-Ability to travel
-Willingness to learn the songs we already have
-Somewhat good taste in music, and an open mind to playing stuff that steps outside of the typical genres.
-You need to be able to play anything and everything.

Some non-requirements, but would be nice for you to have are:

-A secondary practice space (we have a space, but one more couldn't hurt).
-A van or truck of sort.
-Knowledge of electronics.
-The ability to sing and play at the same time.

I think that's about it. We don't really need a guitarist, so if you come in thinking we need you, you are going to be disappointed, and we will probably not ask you to stick around. We practice as much as possible, and are all very commited to the band.

There are some fun things happening with us in the future, and maybe you could be a part of them. One is recording. We will be doing a split a 7" with a band called Shank You in the Neck, they have been playing shows all over the SF Bay Area lately, and recently played the Placebo. We will also be putting out a demo CD. And sometime in the new year we will be doing a mini California tour spanning 5 days, and 5 cities. Also, we have a show in October with a band from Isreal.

I'm watching Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.  Its a great show.  You should watch it sometime.  Anyways.  You should go to the Martyr Index/Social Concern/Cycle of Violence/Mega-Total Violence show on Sunday the 20th!  Its at Empire Squared...47B West 3rd Street in Eureka...It starts at 8:00.  So go.

I've decided that KSLG is the best radio station in the world.  Cuz not only do they play good music, they're also ALL about the local music scene. 

I was listnin' to the Slug Scene with Dr. Syd & Monica and...our show next week on the 9th was announced.  Just feels good to hear the name of your band on the radio.
