Hey guys! All well on the western front!  I'm LOVING the tour with J John and friends and can you believe we are half way though! It has been hilarious and moving!  We're really loving seeing people moved by some of the video footage for Compassion UK and have seen so many people sponsor children over these last 4 weeks!  We have also loved visiting all the different cities and towns in the UK and made some great new friends!  A highlight for me was being taken to the top of Liverpool Cathedral and seeing the views! I was terrified the whole time, not just because of the height also because I was told that if the bells toll when you are up there the sound would be so immense that it would actually kill you!!! I had to be convinced that bell ringing never occurred on a Monday!

You may see from the store that the new album is now available to purchase and to download! Go to www.nickirogers.com/shop
Thanks to Kris Morris for his super help! Not only can the boy sing and write but he's also a technical super hero! Thanks Kris!!

Also MASSIVE thanks goes out to Nicholas Dawkes who took the stunning photos for my album! Those who have the album may notice that Nick's details are missing from the credits....that's because I'm a complete idiot!!! Many of you have already asked for Nick's details so please click this link to view other amazing photography from the man himself! Nicholas Dawkes Photography

So I'll update you next week on any news but life is good! The new album has been amazingly received and I am overwhelmed with peoples emails and encouragement! If you haven't got a copy yet...what are you waiting for?? It's really good! (Am I allowed to say that?)

Ciao!

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for visiting the site! I have some great news! The new album is nearly finished!  I am SO  excited about it! Graeme Duffin and Sandy Jones have done the most amazing job of producing an album that I am truly proud of!

The songs for the new album have more of a folk feel to them and lyrically things are more of an honest reflection of the journey I have been on...and am still on! I can't wait for you to hear it! Details of where and how you can buy the album will be up on the site soon, but I'm heading for a September release!

I have been crazily busy recording and getting that side of things finished, and have had a lot of shows and seminars teaching vocals.  You can see the next run of events I'm playing at on the gigs page!  Please visit and if you are near any of the venues come along and hear some of the new material that I'm road testing!

Anyone visiting New Wine Festival this year will have the chance to hear me at the After Hours venue week 1 and week 2! Keep an eye out! Also London people, you have several gigs this month and next!

Anyway, I'll be posting up the news as it comes and LOVE to hear from you guys! Send me an email if you have anything to say!

God Bless Ya'll,

Nicki R

Hey Guys! Just wanted to write a little note to update you on what I'm up to at the moment! Things are really busy which is great! I need to update my gigs listings, but I'm also busy with worshops and all kinds of fun stuff.

I am heading up to Glasgow over the summer to write for a new solo project which is really exciting.  I'm recording in September and hope to have an EP for release in November! Yey! About time too!  I'm loving the new material, and really hope that other people will like it too.

The new stuff seems to be quite personal and has definitely come out of a long waiting period. It feels as though the new season in my life is bringing out all the emotion of the last couple of years, and also helping me have a real hope for the future.

It seems that when we've had things to endure we can either let it change us, and use it or we'll just stay in the same old place.  I've experienced staying in the same old place, and now I've come out of the other side and these experiences are all coming together both to move me on creatively and personally!

So, I'll tell you more when I know more but please listen and watch out for new gigs, and of course new music!

Much love to ya'll.

Looking forward to seeing a load of you at My Place on Saturday for the celebration of Soho Revue’s Indy Award nominees!  SEBCollective do an amazing job and always run fantastic evenings (hence their nomination for best promoters) so come along for a great time!

Current mood:naughty!

Hi everyone! I've been busy writing new material with Jamie Duffin a fantastic writer and producer from Glasgow.  I also am currently co-writing with some other fantastic writers from London and am collecting new and exciting material for my next recording.  Not sure exactly when or how this recording will come about but I'm hopeful that 2008 will see the best work I've done so far!

London is crazy!  You can be rushed off your feet all week, and then realise that you've done nothing of much use! Apart from getting knocked off your feet onto your luggage at the barriers in Euston station, eating a mint from the pub table and realising it's your mates sleeping tablet, reading Harry Potter for 5 hours and missing your appointment with the dentist..life in London is great! I love the creative energy here.

I've been overwhelmed by the support of Soho Revue and SEB collective who nominated me for the Indy Award! Please please please go to www.indyawards.co.uk and vote for me! Tell your frinds!

There are some great gigs coming up and I'm doing my best to update my FANTASTIC website! Thanks Anthony!  www.nickirogers.com

I'll be writing more often now..maybe I could set up a blog for all the embarrassing things that happen to me every week? Please..if you have any stories to outdo me, blog them on the site! Hope to see you all at some gigs this month! Nicki x
