Known for his clubhouse charecters Pookie and White Fang and for throwing pies in the faces of his special guests, Soupy was way ahead of his time and created a humorus 60's dance single called "Do The Mouse". Gordon Waller, half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon, passed away at the age of 64 due to suffering cardiac arrest not far from his Conneticut home. Along with his partner Peter Asher, the Brit duo scored eight Top 20 hit singles in the U.S, starting with their first single (the first of three written for them by Paul McCartney, who was dating Peter Asher's sister at the time: Jane Asher) "A World Without Love" which went to number #1 on both sides of the Atlantic. altogether the duo scored eight Top 20 U.S. hit singles including "Nobody I Know", "I Don't Want To See You Again", "Woman", "I Go To Pieces", "Lady Godiva", "The Knight In Rusty Armor" to name a few. Paul McCartney just announced that their will a newly released Beatles' single this year called "Now and Then" This is an unfinished composistion by John Lennon that he starting writing in 1978. the single will feature McCartney on bass and new vocalsand Ringo Starr on drums, and a guitar part already recorded years ago by the late George Harrison.
