Current mood:  contemplative
Ok its that time again for one of my imfamous blogs. lol I was just contemplating a few things inside my head. So im going to go down the list . First off why do producers brag about not havin samples in there beats, and imply producers who sample heavy are run of the mil. dont get me wrong being able to compose is a talent, but every beat maker who doesnt sample is not makin hot shit, and for the record my album that is droppin ( Low Tech Mastery) is 80 percent sample free so i dont just sample nes shit. Second thing i get baffled by is how heads that say there fam or crew show no support. When ur next show ? Whats new with u? Do u have anything droppin? I say to myself yall must dont pay attention cause people on the otherside of the map is aware of all kinds of shit im doing even tho im not on twitter, and i alway wonder why do i even go out to other peoples shows on the regular basis. Unlike alot of cats I dont have to be on the bill to come out to a show.  I dont know i feel like some heads rep me when its convenient or benefits them. Oh i know Dibia$e thats crew we go way back if conversation strikes up with someone whos a head in the scene.lol I find that interesting.

Another thing why heads be some of the cockiest muthafuck@s on the streets in they natural element where there real character shows or behind closed doors they god almighty. Then online they might do an a few interviews actin like they humble and shit cause they answer a few questions politely.lol That is so transparent to me. Get a publicist and then  ur untouchable. Maybe i should hire an  agent  to run my myspace page or something .It seems like all the icons in the scene do that now a days. lol For a minute now i wonder why heads who are not  from Los Angeles rep it tuff. They might visit once or twice the week, but not livin in the heart of it everyday. Its not a big deal really to me cause i dont trip off territories, but if ur from the valley or the boondocks where ever it maybe rep that shit. Basically im sayin acknowledge all l.a. beat heads who been puttin it down equally who have just  as much heat as the few heads u worship and get all praise.I also wondered how could rappers or whatvever speak of experiences in l.a. when they hardly even here I have enough experiences alone in the 80's growin in l.a. hollywatts that could make u think why this guy not on the sterotypical west coast sound, but if u listen closely you can hear it easily. Well im done thinkin out loud or i should say lettin yall read my thoughts.lol If this doesnt pertain to u dont get offended, and if u so happen to get hurt by this its only REAL TALK !!!!

AND SINCE YOUR HERE NOW STAYED TUNED THE EP ON FAT CITY AND THE PUDGE / DIBIA$E SPLIT 10" VINYL ON ALL CITY COMIN AROUND OCT. OR NOV THE LATEST

Many producers have a signature sound or specific thing with there beats u can automatically  tell who it is without a tracklisting. Whether its from sound efxs to chord progressions the list goes on & on. I notice alot of cats takin from the homies, and even myself as well which all good, but dont think I dont notice that shit. Everyone knows the signature D.B. FLIP (coined by 14kt) lol ,and thats the multiple sequence change up, and its not 2 or 3 seperate beats for the record. Its all the same sample chopped up same tempo i have it down to a science. Dont try using my own tricks on me in these battles it will backfire on u. Im startin to see alot of that formula in battle now a days which is quite amusing. When alot of these  doods was on some 4 bar loop shit now they come with the change up @ 45 second mark , but it dont even link up right. I should start a seminar on that shit.lol. Well the masses know who originated what so I dont worry about it at all. Im sure this blog will offend some heads with a guilty concicous cause they only pay attention to conterversy ,and ignore everything informative.lol Since i got ur attention now I decided to throw some promotion in here while yall readin this.lol  MARKETIN KID !!!

..Who talk like they know every single thing, or brag about what they claim to know how to do "so exceptional". Funny thing is they learned some of there tricks from me. Now they rule the music game.. .lol. And if you gotta ask the crowd "ARE YOU ALIVE OUT THERE" you probably should be trying something different at your shows. I also like how doods try getting on bills I get on, Low Key! Then get mad if they get turned down or expect the promoter to beg them to get on the bill, when really.. they aren't doing anything life changin'. I also get a kick out of doods that act like you owe them shit when in reality.. They owe you. I don't recall them puttin' any money in my pockets. But of course people with egos are quick to take credit for other peoples success and point fingers. Why they not killin' the game since there grind is so flawless. I'd be bitter to if younger cats just getting in the game had beats and ryhms that where getting way more acknowledgment. But that is not my nature to be bitter. I'd rather just show and prove then complain that some other dood is getting all this buzz. Another thing Is when cats act like they are so trustworthy, male or female! And then ask for favors, smile in your face, then deny any form of jankyness when I already know and been knowin' for years. It's time to focus on myself now. I put 5 years of time and energy in a crew who broke up due to cats wanting to do there own thing, which is all good. I can respect that! But all the work I put into it was for nothin' so now I'm focusing on my own projects. Which will NOT be a flop. So.. These doods doing all this talkin' I'll be at ya'll next shows. Just make sure you don't do anything on stage to put your foot in your mouths anymore. Yeah I'm sure this blog is pretty obvious. So take it how u wanna take it. And my grind was way off the meter before cats was in the picture and won't fall off when there long out of it, Which has already been proven. Ya'll make the process much easier.

how come cats let doods slide @ showes on that milly vinnilly shit. i wonder if they rehearse that shit . pop the cd in with vocals and start jumpin around like they workin and rappin over vocals sound like trainin wheels again.lol that shit is not accepted with top 40 pop shit just ask ashley simpson, so how u go do that at an underground function. is this becomin the sound of the culture where heads is impressed so much by that? that is not the essence of hip hop or that famous term thats often used keepin it real.lol

first of all im always in the bay cause i got fam out here, and recently started doing beat showcases in s.f. which was dope both times. but a beat battle this was my first , and didnt know what to expect. i just knew 4 people in the whole spot. i been in battles in the past in l.a. and heads will have they fans cheer them on even if the u got the craziest beats they'll look at u stupid straight zombie mode.lol but there was hometown heads get cheered for here ,and i was thinkin to myself here we go again, but when i played my joints them same heads gave it up which was dope. the bay definitely showed love.there was sick comp as well. the homie science was in it as well from l.a., then the final round i went against inevitable he was in a hotel room battle in l.a. and got to the final 3. he definitely made that battle fun with his creativity and sequencin is crazy. another cat was poetic he had some soulful beats very dope cat from the bay. i ended up linkin with him the next day at his lab and made a banger on mpc 2000. the homie d.j. rayz hooked up the dope flicks. its was crazy seein kandi kole( project blowed) up there at the battle. b4 the battle i was jokin with syd u better be losin ur voice when i go up.lol definitely ill be back to defend the belt.

Current mood:  amused

i dont know what cats think assumin im gettin hooked up with showes for nothing . first of all i been doing showes since 97 ,and that was spittin rhymes and i could hold my own trust. this shit is mad over due i didnt take any short cuts. i know plenty of people but i didnt use them as a crutch to get ahead. i was asked awhile ago man why u enter these beat battles u have nothing to prove. i actually i do have alot to prove cause im not gettin the luxury of tours or shit, and doing these battles got me travelin so far not cats sayin i can hook this up and never fall through. and another thing i get the cats that low key diss with ahh i aint got any costumes or nothing.lol first of all them  mask and shit is part of my performance . i dont just see it as a beat battle im tryin to make an overall impression u never know who's in the crowd watchin it could be a promoter who throwes showes someone who runs a label which equals bread or somekind of shine. i already know i got the substance its just a lil extra to add to the theme of the beats. sound and visuals it is entertainment right. niggas is not overwhelmed in crowd like did u hear that chord progression im not trippin off if i play keys correctly that is my style it may be dysfunctional but its a signature sound . it takes more than a beat that knocks and u pressin the play button on a cdj or itunes to and some live sets . perfect example have yall been to an exile show dood is crazy at a live show he does off the wall shit like beatin on a mpc with drum sticks and crazy random shit not givin a fuck, and after his showes im amazed. heads need to feel like they seein a show. i always try to make sure i made an lastin impression in a battle even if lost it by some odd chance they still remember my beat  months later sometime even years later.lol. this is the beginnin of the beat generation and i remember when i was told heads not tryin to see beatshowcases they gonna be standin there bored . im sayin to myself whatever cats be more live for the beats than cats spittin nowadays ive witnessed it plenty of times. so my point of this blog is so yall can stop wonderin how i get publicity which isnt far fetched like u think. the power of the internet is a muthafucka u should start usin it for choppin it up makin connects than tryin to get pussy on myspace all day.lmao im sure you'll survive. im actually givin yall some advice u can thank me later. this dont mean bite the formula it means create your own lane. and expect more noise in 09 cause theres going to be official releases which is currently gettin mixed and mastered for those who are critical on beats being sonically correct.
