Blotting Out Reality

Today, I woke up in a bath of syringes and broken glass with a harpy perched on my chest. The ghosts that constatly float around my in the clouds head had abandoned me to a state of perpetual mental ne'er-do-well. Nearby, babies screamed for the touch of their mothers and food but never to be had again. Buildings burned as they did since the time of the great white nothing and the poison air was thinner while needy blades were quietly left unsatisfied.

I want to tell you how much I love you but the urge to peel back your flesh and embrass your smooth skeleton was far too strong. As I layed next to you I watched the lights dance behind my eyelids. They reminded me of when meaning meant something and hatred was clearly distinguishable from boredom.

No sense intended to be made.

I've been asleep inside a box full of comfortable lies and packing peanuts for the past two weeks. It's time to wake up.

1. I haven't turned on my television in about 5 months. I used to watch the Daily Show and the Colbert Report religiously, but after the writer's strike I just stopped watching and never went back.

2. I am a Pschology major and that's my third major. I started off as a computer science major then switched to graphic design. After failing the evaluation to move on to the 2nd year I switched to Psychology. I was going to switch to Music but I couldn't sing or play an instrument adequately enough to get in.

3. Speaking of, which I'm currently learning to play piano. I played trombone back in elementary school but never picked it back up after moving on to middle school. So now I'm learning to play piano. Hopefully the more formal training will show up in my music.

4. I'm a complete loner and shut in. I almost never go out and I rarely talk to anyone. I'm uncomortable in any situation where I have to interact with people I don't know. I'm always most comfortable by myself.

5. I'm an anime geek. Although I prefer manga to anime shows. My favorite manga are Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba, Mahoraba, Tenchi Muyo and Yugioh (up until the plot starts focusing on the card game, then it starts to suck). I also enjoy the horror manga of Junji Ito and Hideshi Hino.

6. I think that I usually think about things to hard. I think I might be making it worse by thinking too hard about whether or not I think too hard about things. I think.

7. I love poetry. Obviously I like to write lyrics, but I also like to write poetry. I also like to read poetry, my favorite poets are Stephan Crane and Charles Bukowsi.

8. I've lived with my grandparents most of my life. My parents died when I was an infant.

9. I'm extremely insecure about...just about everything.

10. I've never done any recreational drugs (unless caffeine counts), I've never drank alcohol and I've never touched a cigarette. I guess I'm what you would call "straight edge" only I'm not that into the music associated with it and most people I've run across that label themselves straight edgers were idiots.

Two months after I get it my new laptop (ok it was used but still...) the fucking thing just all of a sudden goes belly up.

This sucks, I had alot of music on that thing that I really liked. Some I probably won't be able get back if the hard drive is completely dead. Same with the photoshop art I have on it. I guess that's what I get for being a moron and not backing it up.

Yeah, complaining about it on here isn't going to get it fixed or anything but I can't fix it until tomorrow so if anyone read this thank you for indulging me.
