Entertainment trade publication Variety has an article up today looking at the return of WWE's Slammy Awards (Variety.com). WWE's Executive Vice President of Marketing, Geof Rochester, is interviewed and says WWE is using the Slammy Awards as another special event (such as Saturday Night's Main Event and Tribute to the Troops) to raise brand awareness. It has been 11 years since the Slammys aired on television and WWE would like to make it an annual event, as long as the ratings hold up. Either way, Rochester said, "It won’t be another 11 years before we do another Slammys."
Jim Ross is back with another blog update, which can be read at JRsBarBQ.com in its entirety. Some highlights:
-- "Manny Pacquiao defeating Oscar De La Hoya was not a surprise to me but Oscar not being able to finish was. De La Hoya has essentially carried the waning, boxing business on his back and the combination of the hellaciously relentless Pacquiao and Mother Nature was too much for the "Golden Boy" (not the late Arnold Skaaland) to overcome. Oscar has invested well, prepared for his future and seems to be financially set for the balance of his life which is refreshing to know. Boxing, however, in general is so diluted that I can't even name all the heavyweight champs and I consider myself a decent boxing fan...or at least I used to be before the UFC came along."
-- "I met Ricky Steamboat's son several months ago and thought at the time, simply by his look, the kid might be special. I know that the younger Steamboat is athletic and was an outstanding high school athlete. The son of the "Dragon" will hopefully be scarfed up by the WWE at some point and sent to FCW to train with many other second generation competitors. The elder Steamboat was an amazing hand in his day and Ricky's bouts with Ric Flair are still talked about today and were some of the best I ever had the privilege of broadcasting."
-- "Big weekend in Charlotte for the Flair's as Ric's youngest son Reid made his in ring debut Saturday night. One can only imagine the "after party" and without question "The Naitch" would be my guess as the celebration's MVP. Following his famous father won't be easy for Reid and hopefully he will develop his own style and his own approach to the game and not try to emulate his Dad's every move. I do know that Reid is athletic and has a solid amateur background and I wish him the best. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Ric head to South Florida around January 8 to catch the OU-Florida BCS National Title Fame as Ric is not only a great friend of mine but also of OU Coach Bob Stoops who Ric met when Bob was the defensive coordinator for the Gators. Enjoying some social time in South Beach with Ric and attending the football would definitely be blog worthy....to say the least. But no cameras, please." WWE’s Armageddon 2008 PPV takes place this coming Sunday night on December 14. ALTHOUGH SOMEONE SHOULD TELL THEM THE LIST THEY SENT OUT FOR THIS YEARS PPVS LIST IT AS BEEING ON THE 21ST. LOL The following videos are from the WWE's visit to Iraq. The first is one from the Military News Network, while the rest were taken by servicemen stationed in Iraq and posted on Youtube:

You now get a "Page Not Found" message. His $300,000 per year contract is not expected to be renewed when it expires in January.
YOU WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT... NAH NAH NAH, NAH NAH NAH, HEY HEY HEY GOODBYE........
The Associated Press has picked up the story on the passing of former WWF developmental wrestler Steve Bradley, who was found dead Thursday morning in his car in a parking lot across the street from where he once operated a professional wrestling school in Manchester, New Hampshire. In a new bit of information stemming from Bradley's death, officials say Bisson (his real last name) was indicted on heroin possession charges last month. Here is the AP's article in its entirety: NH police investigate pro wrestler's death MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a former professional wrestler whose body was found in a parked car near his closed wrestling academy in Manchester, N.H. Investigators say they found the body of 32-year-old Steven Bisson, who went by the name Steve Bradley, Thursday morning. Officials say Bisson was indicted on heroin possession charges last month. An autopsy was inconclusive, but police say it does not appear foul play was involved. Bisson participated in non-televised matches with World Wrestling Entertainment and in 2002, opened the Top Rope Pro Wrestling Academy. Lordsofpain.net, a wrestling Web site, said Bradley's academy had closed within the past six months.
VICTORIA HAS ALSO COMMENTED ON STEVE'S DEATH ON HER MYSPACERBLOG. IT READS AS FOLLOWS. "I did hear some disturbing news today, which has me very introspective. A wrestler that I worked with when I was in Memphis Championship Wrestling passed away. He wrestled as Steve Bradley. I was his valet for most of my time in Memphis. He was only 32. As I mentioned in a previous blog, it is easy to lose touch with people in this industry. I went to Louisville, to work with Ohio Valley Wrestling. He went to Cincinnati to work with HWA. I can't sum up what kind of person Steve Bradley was in a paragraph or two. But he was good people, who went on to battle personal demons. And without having details on his passing, I can only assume that with that history, that when someone passes at 32, that in some way this contributed to his death." WWE has signed yet another second generation wrestler. (Dakota Darsow). He is 21 and is the son of Barry Darsow (a.k.a. Demolition Smash, a.k.a Krusher Darsow, a.k.a. Krusher Khruschev, a.k.a. Repo Man, a.k.a. Blacktop Bully, a.k.a Barry "Hole in One" Darsow). Darsow took part in a week long tryout with WWE a few months ago, but only recently signed a contract. He's profiled in the latest issue of The Wrestler/Inside Wrestling and said he was still hoping to land a deal with WWE. Darsow reported to Florida Championship Wrestling this past week. Unlike certain second generation signings, Darsow has prior wrestling experience as he started wrestling in the Midwest about a year ago. But quite like other WWE developmental talents, he has a strong build, various tribal tattoos and a short haircut.
» Darren Aronofsky, director of The Wrestler, told The Tufts Daily that WWE Hall of Famer "Rowdy" Roddy Piper broke down crying in actor Mickey Rourke's arms after watching the flick at a screening. "His character is really an amalgamation of lots of different characters," Aronofsky said regarding Rourke's character. "The sad thing is the more of these guys we met, the more clichés we ran into, as so many of their lives ended up a similar way. Even the guys who kept it together and have a family, etc. - they all had similar stories and all knew someone who was going through a similar thing and dealing with the physical damage that had been done to them. It was great; the other night, Rowdy Roddy Piper showed up at a screening and he loved it. He broke down and cried in Mickey's arms, so he was psyched that this story was finally told."
Filming for Steve Austin's next movie has concluded in British Columbia, Canada, which features the former WWE Champion in the leading role. Austin plays a character called John Brickner in Damage, a movie about underground fighting. The movie is currently in post-production after filming finished at the end of last month. According to the production company Nasser Entertainment Group, the flick is scheduled to be released on January 28, 2010 on DVD and Blu-ray.
WWE Intercontinental champion William Regal missed this week's show due to his recent illness, but he arrived this morning in Philadelphia and is backstage at Raw. Regal wasn't on a scheduled flight last night with other talent coming in from the Georgia area as was originally planned. Regal did not appear on last week's show due to the illness. (Source: WrestlingObserver.com)
SmackDown Diva Maryse has a blog asking fans what they think of her new finishing maneuver - a heel kick - which she is calling the "french tk0" (although properly spelled as "French TKO"). Maryse wrote in her trademark broken English: "I would love to hear what my fans think of my new move ( french tk0) ..... remember that kick that Beth Pheonix got behind the head at Survivor series, yes it was me performing my amazing kick! I cant wait to face Michelle Mc cool and give her a taste of my french tk0.... stay tune."
Under the Ring has an interview with former ECW Superstar Big Daddy V, who talks about his release from the company this past August. He claims his doctor led to his firing from WWE. Reportedly, it was due to issues with his weight. "Actually, the way I got released from the company this last time, it was a blessing in disguise. My doctor really got me fired," Big Daddy V said. "Basically, my doctor and basically all doctors think that wrestlers are idiots for what we do for a living. He just basically shared his opinion on me and wrestling and WWE was forced to release me. They wanted me to go out and wrestle and make sure I was OK and then they were going to bring me back." On the plus side, Hollywood came calling as he was contacted by them the day following his release. He just finished filming his role in the upcoming movie 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus. "It's a spoof movie of Troy and 300," V says. "I have another project coming up with Nicolas Cage called Kick Ass. I'm moving on to the big screen and I'm real happy about it." Regarding his character in 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus, V said, "My character's name is Ginormous. It's one of the biggest, baddest warriors that has ever lived, in the movie. It's very entertaining and fun. There's two of the biggest armies going against each other and they have their like, ultimate warrior. And I'm one and Awesomest Maximus is the other. It's very good. My lines will definitely make people laugh and I want everybody that's reading this article to go see that movie. It will be out in the top of 2009." Despite his acting aspirations, he still hopes to return to WWE one day. Wrestling is in his blood and he is addicted to it. He's taking up acting now because it's a good opportunity and he wants to seize it while he can. He was never able to take up acting in the past due to his wrestling schedule. "The very next day, Hollywood called me. Now, I'm focusing on one thing. My ultimate dream was to become an actor. I'm going to concentrate on that for at least another couple of years before I go back to WWE. Of course, I'll go back. You know what I mean? That's my home. I'll go back eventually." Big Daddy V also talks about growing up, getting into wrestling, his most memorable opponents, and more. You can read the interview in its entirety at http://pojoslam.blogspot.com/
The WWE site has posted additional photos from ring announcer Lilian Garcia's bikini shoot during a stop in Puerto Rico a few months ago. WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella are scheduled to appear at this Thursday's Florida Championship Wrestling television taping in Tampa, Florida.
The ECW main event is Mark Henry & Tony Atlas vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle. The show is taped tomorrow (Tuesday) with one edition of SmackDown!.
Today (Monday) is Raw play-by-play man Michael Cole's birthday. He turns 40 years old.
The extras on the WWE Survivor Series DVD will be:
* Extreme Rules Match: The Undertaker vs. Jeff Hardy (Smackdown – 11.14.08) * A video of Shawn Michaels and the Great Khali after their PPV Match The newest issue of WWE Magazine features an interview with John Cena. Here are some of the highlights: On the spinner title belt: "Believe it or not, that belt has had minute changes over the years, and I'm actually flattered that it's now considered the WWE Championship. I thought for sure that once it went to Smackdown, it would see a redesign. I like the fact that the ECW Championship has changed; I think it adds flavor to it. It's weird, the one trophy that tradition says you can't touch is the World Heavyweight Championship, but it is what it is." On his Royal Rumble return: "I was hidden away in the back of a car and then 45 minutes after the show started, I was briskly brought to a secret room in Madison Square Garden. Nobody knew I was there and nobody knew what was going to happen...I came out a minute before no. 30 was called. Everyone backstage had 60 seconds to react." On the most underrated performer in WWE: "William Regal. Not only is he smooth as silk in the ring, he's one of the most entertaining characters I've ever seen on TV." WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart is recovering from major reconstructive knee surgery. Hart offered comments regarding his surgery and being inspired meeting his fans during his recent book signing tour on his official website, www.BretHart.com. Bret wrote: "After meeting so many real heroes over the past few months, my knee surgery has been a breeze, and I can honestly say I wouldn't have managed as well without their support and encouragement. Thanks to all of you who took the time to see me, buy my book, express your condolences about Owen, Davey, and my mother and father. Thanks for everything, the last couple of months were some of the best memories wrestling has ever given me, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart." You can read his message in its entirety (and see a post-recovery photo) at BretHart.com. Jim Ross appeared on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show this past week. He had some things to say regarding Gail Kim arriving in WWE, as well as the rumors of Christian Cage possibly returning to the organization. "He's a quality human being," Ross said regarding Cage. "As far as I know he still works for TNA. If he comes to WWE I'm sure he's going to be given great opportunities and knowing him he'll take advantage of them. Same with Gail Kim. She's not quite on the level, we're talking about a Kurt Angle or Christian but in the Diva realm, she's certainly established a great reputation and a great following for her work that she has done for the last couple of years. She's improved immensely. So all those people, anytime you can find people that can help your team, you should pursue it."
» WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart appeared on the In Your Head radio this past week and was asked about Vince McMahon being upset with Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling television show. McMahon flipped out after seeing the show and reportedly told WWE VP of Talent Relations John Laurinatis to inform people involved in the show they are no welcome in WWE. "I'll plead the Fifth," Hart told the radio show regarding rumors of his firing from WWE. "Naw, let me just say this. My whole thing that I ever do for WWE, I always have got permission to do everything." Hart then praised WWE for the opportunities he was given in his career. "Like I said, I wouldn't be sitting on the phone talking to you guys tonight if I didn't had just the greatest chance of a lifetime when Vince called Jimmy Hart." Hart is helping promote an indy show being held in Charlotte, North Carolina tonight which will see Hulk Hogan be the special guest referee in the main event of David & Reid Flair vs. the Nasty Boys. He also promoted Hulk Hogan's CCW show, as the season finale airs tonight on CMT. To listen to Hart's interview in its entirety, visit www.InYourHeadOnline.com.

HELLO MYSPACERS AND WWE FANS,
SORRY I HAVE DID NOT POST THE NEWS YESTERDAY. SO LETS GET ON WITH IT....
Steve Bradley, who worked a number of dark matches for WWE in the late 1990s and early 2000s was found dead this morning in a parking lot across the street from a where he once operated a pro wrestling school in Manchester, New Hampshire. The former WWE developmental wrestler was 32 years old.
Bradley started wrestling in 1991 when he was 15 or 16 years old around the east coast. In late 1998, he signed a developmental contract with WWE and was assigned to their developmental camp at Power Pro Wrestling in Memphis, Tennessee. Kurt Angle was signed at the same time and the two feuded over the Power Pro Wrestling Championship, which was voted "Underrated Feud of the Year" by Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Bradley was actually the first wrestler to defeat Kurt Angle.
In 1999, Bradley won the third annual ECWA Super 8 tournament, defeating current TNA wrestler Christopher "Curry Man" Daniels.
During his time under contract to WWE, Bradley worked for the Heartland Wrestling Association, Ohio Valley Wrestling and other promotions affiliated with WWE at the time, including IWA Puerto Rico and Memphis Championship Wrestling. During his time in MCW, Bradley won their heavyweight title, defeating the wrestler now known as R-Truth. Bradley worked a number of dark matches prior to WWE television tapings as well as house shows, but ultimately, never made the main roster. His work was said to be similar to that of Rob Van Dam, and once he joined WWE in the summer of 2001, Bradley got lost in the shuffle. Bradley was ultimately released in the summer of 2002 during a talent purge.
Following his release from WWE, Bradley returned to the New England area and opened a wrestling school, Top Rope Wrestling Academy, which was shut down within the past six months.
Bradley dealt with personal issues over the years and was one of the former talents who took up WWE's offer of getting help within the past year.
Bradley's cause of death has yet to be confirmed.

Jim Ross is back with another blog entry, which can be read at JRsBarBQ.com in its entirety. Some highlights:
- Overall, I thought Raw was a solid broadcast but at times it felt like I was being overwhelmed with content. That might be more of an indication of my age or the way I enjoy watching TV and less an indictment on the program. Sometimes I think many wrestling shows cram too much in their hour or two hour format and forget that the vast majority of the viewers have much info to retain in their lives in a 144 hour week.
- Chris Jericho's mic skills hearken back to Edge prior to his Hell in a Cell match with the Undertaker. Edge was the hottest ticket in the WWE for my money at that time and one can assume it is only a matter of time before Edge hits his verbal stride on Friday Night Smackdown. Nonetheless Jericho has been "money" on the mic in recent weeks. He's one of the primary reasons I enjoy watching my old program.
- I have emotionally invested in the JBL-HBK business and look forward to see where it goes. Getting JBL in a role where he can verbalize is a good thing. Interesting to hear what I perceived as a viewer the live audience in D.C. boo HBK as he left the arena Monday night.
- Watching John Morrison Monday night, I thought back to the early, early days of HBK and how athletic, quick and innovative Shawn was early in his career which made many of us feel that he was going to be a star from the beginning. Morrison will never, like HBK, be the biggest dog in the fight, but offensive innovation and being unique could take Morrison a long way. I wish he was a Friday night regular but that's my personal bias coming thru. If John Morrison can approach Shawn Michaels' level of success, Morrison will then have had a helluva run.
- I am anxious to see the film "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke. I have been sold on the trailers that I have seen. The typical, sensationalized lines such as the "dark under belly of wrestling" is expected as those are marketable terms and today's society generally loves that sort of "dark reality." Most entities have an unflattering side including every form of entertainment and sports that I have ever observed. ESPN even has a legal analyst on call to handle the constant legal issues they cover on their network IE the NYG's Plaxico Burress this week.
SPEAKING OF JIM....
Jim Ross has posted his latest "SmackDown! This" column on WWE.com.
SmackDown stars Edge & Natalya as well as WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson appeared at the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto yesterday to help with a fundraising effort. SLAM! Wrestling interviewed Edge at the food bank and he said he is still working on getting back in ring shape. "I've got to get back to feeling abnormal, because I feel too normal right now," he referred half-jokingly to his hips after the sorting. "There's a transition period. Usually after some time off it takes about two to three weeks to where you take a turnbuckle and your hips don't feel like they've been shattered. It's not good for the body. And when you don't do it for a while, you really realize that. But it's getting there." Natalya also spoke out. "When I'm not busy, I'm kind of like 'I don't know what to do with myself,'" Natalya said. "That's why coming to the food bank and doing stuff here, whether I'm in the United States, Europe, or Canada especially -- I love coming back to Canada, it's my home -- is amazing. It's very rewarding." You can see photos of Edge sans beard, as well as Natalya & Rocky Johnson at http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2008/12/03/7623526.html

The annual Tribute to the Troops special is scheduled to be taped this Friday at the Camp Liberty Base Complex in Baghdad, Iraq at noon locally. The show will air on Saturday, December 20 as a one hour special.
The WWE site has posted photos of the WWE Superstars' travel day to Iraq for this year's Tribute to the Troops tour. Following Monday night's Raw taping at the Verizon Center, the WWE crew immediately headed to Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George's County, Maryland, eight miles east of Washington, D.C., for the long flight to Iraq. Based on the shots posted, the following WWE performers are confirmed for the tour: John Cena, Batista, Lilian Garcia, Maria, Alicia Fox, Mickie James, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Chris Jericho, John Morrison, The Miz, Cryme Time, Chad Patton, John Cone, Jeff Hardy, Michael Cole and Joey Styles. You can see photos of the Superstars boarding the plane at WWE.com.
Both Michael Cole and Joey Styles are on the Tribute to the Troops tour in Iraq for WWE and both men are keeping blogs while they are there.
SCNow.com has an interview with ECW Champion Matt Hardy promoting this Saturday night's Smackdown brand house show in Florence, South Carolina. Hardy was asked about his favorite match in his career. "The one that stands out to me is my cage match versus Edge (at Unforgiven 2005)," Hardy said. "The leg drop off the top of the cage. But then again, my most recent match with Finlay, it went almost 25 minutes. He's amazing. He has been in the business for 25 years and he still moves like a young guy." Hardy also feels there was time when he and brother Jeff felt the only way to stand out in the company was to utilize high-flying. "I think earlier on when we entered (WWE) the guys were just a lot bigger. For us to survive, we had to take risks, be high-flying," Hardy said. "We figured that would electrify the fans. If they never knew what to expect, it'd be something they remember."
Ted DiBiase was recently written out of WWE storylines so he could film the sequel to WWE's 2006 blockbuster hit The Marine, The Marine 2. DiBiase is actually the star of the direct-to-DVD film, even though he doesn't appear to have any previous acting experience not to mention that he's been on the main roster for less than six months.
According to house show reports from this past weekend, Edge is clean-shaven again. This week's edition of SmackDown was taped last week, so you'll see beardless Edge again next Monday on Raw for his match with John Cena.
Speaking of Edge, his Edge- A Decade of Decadence three-disc DVD set has already been sent to reviewers. The DVD set will officially be released on Tuesday, December 23.
The Hollywood Reported claimed this morning that Universal Studios is negotiating for the rights to John Carpenter's They Live, with the idea of producing a remake to the 1988 film which starred WWE Hall Of Famer Roddy Piper. The film spawned a classic Roddy Piper line, "I'm here to chew bubble gum and kick a**...and I'm all out of bubble gum." The original film opened in November 1988 and grossed $12,250,223.00 during its initial run.
Following his U.S. book signing tour, Bret Hart underwent knee replacement surgery in Calgary, Alberta. Jim Ross wrote on his blog at JrsBarBQ.com that Hart is already up and using his walker, and should be home in the next day or two. Hart is expected to then return to his home in Hawaii in January.
MyNetworkTV moved up in the top ten TV channel rankings thanks to some help from WWE SmackDown. MyNetworkTV claims they jumped six spots from number 16 to 10 in the key 18-49 demographic. They are also boasting a 50% ratings increase compared to last year.
Umaga is planned to return to the Smackdown brand and feud with the Undertaker.
ON THIS EDITION OF AS THE HOGAN TURNS YOUR STOMACH...
In an interview with www.Eagle1057.com out of Atlanta, GA, Hulk Hogan discussed Vince McMahon's negative reaction to his Celebrity Championship Wrestling program on CMT. "All of a sudden, Vince McMahon raised his ugly head and thought we were threatening his company and he's been doing everything he can to shut us down," Hogan told the radio station. "We're just a reality show." Hogan said he was worried the celebrities signed on for the show wouldn't take wrestling seriously because they were paid upfront, but he was positive about the experience. Hogan claimed the likes of Regis Philbin inquired about being on the series when it was first announced, and now people from "all of the major companies" are calling wanting to be part of Celebrity Championship Wrestling. Hogan mostly hyped CCW during the interview, but managed to take a shot at Triple H. When asked about the wrestling business' history of exposing its inner workings, Hogan said McMahon smartened up the public in the 80s when he said pro wrestling isn't a real sport, and then created the Tough Enough series on MTV. However, Hogan believes the worst offense of exposing the business is Vince McMahon keeping the WWE Title on Triple H for so many years, and that it exposes the wrestling business more than Celebrity Championship Wrestling does. "The biggest expose is putting the World Title on your son-in-law for the last five or six years," Hogan said. "That's probably the biggest expose I've ever seen keeping Triple H as champion." Triple H has taken a number of unwarranted shots at Hogan over the years (usually when Hogan's been out of favor with Vince), even though Hogan was mostly positive when talking about him. During the interview, Hogan also said he will be in New York this weekend with Steve Austin doing promotional work for liveautographs.com, which films celebrities signing merchandise that customers are buying to authenticate the merchandise. You can listen to the interview in its entirety at http://www.eagle1057.com.
SPEAKING O HOGANS SELL OUT ASS....
Believe it or not, Vince McMahon contacted Hulk Hogan within the last two months about appearing on WWE's upcoming Tribute to the Troops show in Iraq. Hogan turned down the offer for various reasons. Vince has pitched the idea to Hogan several times over the years and Hogan turns him down every time. One of the main reasons Hogan declined the offer is that his divorce has been described as a "full-time job" for him. This was also before the whole CCW deal as well which Vince now can't stand Hogan.

WJFK radio in Washington DC did an interview with Batista, where he discusses dating Kelly Kelly. You can check that out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5mKFilCczU
SmackDown Diva Maria is scheduled to appear at the New York Boat Show on Friday, December 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson talked about a number of subjects during her recent shoot interview with RF Video. When Wilson moved to the Raw brand in August 2005, she claims a WWE Women's Title run was promised to her. She pitched an idea to Vince McMahon that would have her win the WWE Women's Championship, and Vince agreed to the idea. Of course, the idea never came to fruition. Torrie said it played into her decision to leave WWE this past May, but they wanted to keep her under contract despite her re-occuring back injury. Torrie said she decided to leave because her personal dream of winning the WWE Women's Championship was not in her future. Torrie also commented on the real-life relationship between the reigning WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool and Undertaker, who started dating after her divorced from his former wife Sara. Torrie said she used to be scared of Undertaker when she worked in WWE. However, she's gotten to know him quite well since he started dating Michelle, who she considers a close friend.

HELLO MYSPACERS AND WWE FANS,
WELL I SEE NO ONE IS SAFE FROM BEING FIRED AT WWE.
I have just received word from RAW that longtime WWE producer Bruce Prichard has been released from the company. This may not sound like big news but it is as he was one of the main guys behind producing backstage segments and editing from the truck. He's been with the company for a long time so this is a surprise.

WHEN I GET MORE ON THIS I WILL REPORT...
ON THIS EDITION OF YOU GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT...
During filming of a fight scene for the upcoming movie Sherlock Holmes, the WWE wrestler formerly known as Kurrgan (real name Robert Maillet), accidentally knocked out actor Robert Downey Jr. with a punch to the chin. Downey Jr. needed six stitches in his mouth as a result of the punch from the former "Truth Commission" and "Oddities" member, which sent him flying and knocked him out cold.
TEE HEE HEE.....
WWE Raw Diva Mickie James is currently suffering from a hyperextended elbow, which has caused her some discomfort and numbness. Due to the injury, she's being used sparingly, but still working because WWE heavily relies on her to help layout the matches, keep the matches going and the fans interested at shows. James is expected to be given some time off from house shows as a result. The injury occurred during the recent European tour, which is why she was taken out of matches except as referee or timekeeper. James believes she is okay enough to work, but officials are being careful as she is invaluable to the division. Trainers feel she should rest another week or two before moving back into regular action.
SPEAKING OF MICKIE JAMES....
Four-time WWE Women's champion Mickie James tells WWE.com that she is looking forward to expand her professional career beyond World Wrestling Entertainment. "If I was to accomplish anything outside of the continuous growth of my WWE career, it would be to star in at least one movie," Mickie said in a wwe.com superstar-to-superstar interview with Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls. "I have always dreamed of being a star on the big screen." When asked about the challenges of life on the road, James says staying upbeat is difficult, especially when she's worn out and fans want her attention. "I find it especially challenging when we come off a long tour and fly into town our fans are at the airport waiting for autographs," she said. "We are all exhausted and can't wait to get to our hotels." She added, But then I think if it weren't for their loyalty to us, we wouldn't be who we are today. Besides, I was once one of those."
Vince McMahon now wants his announcers to talk conversationally at all times on air.

WWE.com has photos and video from CM Punk's appearance as the Sports Grand Marshall at the McDonalds Thanksgiving Parade in Chicago.
Darren Aronofsky's film, The Wrestler will open in New York and Los Angeles on December 19th. It will then open in additional markets over the following two weeks.
German pay-TV provider "Premiere" announced on its official website that WWE programming will no longer be showing for the first time since December 2002, starting next week. WWE and Premiere are still working on a new TV deal, but didn't come to terms yet. Premiere wants to offer the German fans "much better WWE programming," which would include complete RAW episodes (for the last 6 years Premiere just showed the 1 hour international edition of RAW on a delay of eight days). Right now it seems as if both sides are far from making a new deal.
WWE was the second most searched item on Yahoo in 2008. Britney Spears was number 1.
The following matches have been announced for Raw tonight:
*Non-Title Match: Kane vs. John Cena © *IC Title Contender's Tournament Match: Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz *IC Title Contender's Tournament Match: John Morrison vs. Finlay

WWE stars are doing publicity work today for the "Tribute to the Troops" show that will air on December 20th. After Raw tonight, the crew will leave for Baghdad, Iraq.
Here is the talent roster that is slated to be working the WWE Tribute to the Troops show that will take place in Baghdad, Iraq this December. The names included are Batista, CM Punk, John Cena, JBL, Cryme Tyme, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, John Morrison, Chris Jericho, R-Truth, The Miz, Randy Orton, Big Show, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, Vince McMahon, Kelly Kelly, Lillian Garcia, Alicia Fox, Mickie James, Maria, Eve Torres, Maryse and Candice Michelle. It should be noted, however, that these names have not been confirmed by WWE.
NBC hyped the Iraq special during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Randy Orton has been telling friends that WWE offered him a 10-year contract. Although there is still no word on whether Orton will agree to the deal, it says a lot about their faith in the young superstar. As noted over the weekend, WWE is also trying to sign Rey Mysterio to a five-year deal.
AS SOON AS I TALK TO RANDY I WILL LET YOU KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE.
Batista was a guest on the WJFK radio morning show this morning and revealed that he dated Kelly Kelly a few months ago. "She's just a young girl," he said. "She was a little immature for a 21 year-old." He said their age difference was the main reason the relationship didn't last. Batista also said he became star struck when he saw 58-year-old actress Morgan Fairchild at the Democratic National Convention earlier this year. "Hey, I'm old, man," he said when the hosts laughed at him.

I SWEAR THAT MAN IS SUCH A WHORE. LMFAOOO THE QUESTION IS WHO HASN'T HE DATED IN THE WWE LOCKER ROOM.
Batista also stated that he was once stuck in a limousine with Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan. Batista said it was an "uncomfortable" situation for him to be in. "They started touching on a few things and I thought, 'Man, I wish I wasn't here.'" He added that he accidentally offended Hogan once by doing a bad impersonation of him while being interviewed on ESPN.
Tomko has re-signed with WWE, but there is no start date announced for him as of now.
» Gail Kim is expected to debut on the Smackdown brand.
..........
WWE will be releasing "WWE The Music Volume 9" on January 27th, 2009. The CD is scheduled to contain the following track listing:
*Randy Orton - "Voices" *Vladimir Kozlov - "Unch Mein" *Maryse - "Ooh Oui" *Chris Jericho - "Save Me" *Santino Marella - "Vittoria Es Mia" *Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes - "Priceless" *WWE Smackdown - "On The Floor" *Kelly Kelly - "Holla 2009" *Kung Fu Naki - "Kung Fu Naki" *Natalya - "Beating Hart" *Evan Bourne - "Airbourne" *Willam Regal - "King" *The Boogeyman - "Coming To Getcha" *John Cena - "Moving Up"
SPEAKING OF MUSIC AND WWE....
World Wrestling Entertainment has been granted an extension in responding to the lawsuit brought against them, John Cena and several other entities regarding the sampling in Cena's theme song. WWE and company are being sued by members of rap group M.O.P. for sampling their song "Ante Up" for use in Cena's theme song. WWE now has until December 15th to respond.
........
WOOO FUCKING HOO ROYAL RUMBLE IS ON MY BIRTHDAY THIS YEAR........
Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which is set to take place on January 25 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

HELLO MYSPACERS AND WWE FANS,
Jim Ross has a new blog entry up, here is an sample of the entry: On struggling to watch the Eddie Guerrero DVD: Even though the Eddy Guerrero DVD is currently a 1 best seller it is really hard for me to watch. I became very close with Eddy during some really trying times of his life and like many of his fans I made an emotional investment in the human being, not just the wrestler, and his death was another passing that was tough on me as a man and in my role as the head of talent for the WWE. It is one heck of a DVD as evidenced by how it affects many of Eddy's friends who I have spoken with about the recently released DVD. I envy no man who has the head of talent for any wrestling company for a variety of reasons because if one does that job correctly it will take a little out of said individual every single day. On Jeff Hardy: It is amazing how topical Jeff Hardy is at this time with my friends who watch Smackdown and that Jeff seems more popular to ever to them even though he hasn't "won the big one." Most of my friends are simply casual wrestling fans who don't over analyze the product and watch the 2 hour Friday night show and then call it a week for their wrestling "fix." On The Great Muta: Reading recently about the Great Muta, it reminded me of the time when I was on the WCW Booking Asylum, Er, Committee and I suggested that the handsome, young and talented Kenji Muta might make a great protagonist at some point in his WCW run. The look on the faces of many of my peers reminded me of what it must have been like when it was suggested to Caucasian wrestling territory owners that African American wrestlers be put into positions of prominence in the territory. I was passionately reminded that American wrestling fans would NEVER support a Japanese protagonist thanks to December 7, 1941 and the attack on Pearl Harbor. Forget that moment occurred almost half a century before as the idea wasn't embraced and never fully materialized. I just know that Muta was a star and without the face paint back in the late 80's the ladies in the CNN Center in Atlanta loved the guy. On Stone Cold: Stone Cold called me Friday and finished his movie project up in Vancouver and is looking forward to doing some hunting on his Texas ranch over the next few weeks. Steve is driving himself and his dog from near Los Angles all the way to South Texas beginning Saturday morning but is planning ..ping to watch the OU Football game Saturday night with his chocolate Lab.
I CAN SEE WHERE JR IS COMMING FROM. IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO FINSH EDDIES BOOK. I HAVE GOTTEN THE DVD AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SEE IT. ONLY BECAUSE IT IS LIKE WATCHING THE LAST CHAPTER IN EDDIE'S LIFE. NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE WILL EVER BE THE HEAL EDDIE WAS AND WAS MENT TO BE.
Mr. Kennedy appeared on the Live Audio Wrestling show this past Sunday to comment on his recent injury, his suspension last year following a violation of WWE's Wellness Policy, as well as his starring role in the upcoming movie "Behind Enemy Lines 3." Kennedy commented on his latest injury, which he suffered during a match with Shelton Benjamin this past August. "We were basically side to side and he hit his finisher and our bodies got kind of caught between each other and I couldn't move my arm," Kennedy said. "I hit the mat on my chest and my arm was stretched across my chest, so I hit elbow-first and it just popped my arm right out of its socket. That was the most painful thing I've ever gone through in my life." Kennedy said his arm still needs time to heal, but he hopes to be back in the ring as soon as possible. "The date that Dr. Andrews gave the office for my return date, was February 28. I could come back sooner, or I could come back later," Kennedy said. Kennedy once again commented on the whole Signature Pharmacy mess, which resulted in a suspension from WWE last year. "I just learned to basically shut my mouth about stuff. It seemed as though any time I would turn around and say something, well they would analyze that stuff and say 'he did this, this, this and this.' I'd be reading about it at home and be like 'no, that's not right,' Kennedy said. "When they asked me if I took steroids and I said no, I didn't at the time. The thing is, my doctor was getting the stuff from Signature Pharmacy. I never once went to an Internet website and ordered any of that stuff." Kennedy also feels newcomers don't need to take steroids to get ahead in the wrestling business. "In this day and age, in the business, you don't need stuff like that," Kennedy said. "People think that by taking steroids, you instantly turn into the incredible hulk and you beat women and children and rage and throw stuff around and kill your family members." Lastly, Kennedy said it's a lot easier being a heel as opposed to a babyface. "I find that it's easier to get somebody to boo you than it is to get somebody to cheer you," Kennedy said. "Some of my best stuff was actually down in OVW, under Paul Heyman's direction. I'd love to go back to being a heel. I would like to be a babyface some day." You can listen to the interview in its entirety at http://www.thefightnetwork.com/downloads/
Here are Thanksgiving messages from two WWE Raw Divas. Layla wrote on her MySpace page (www.myspace.com/laylainc): Happy Thanksgiving Current mood: peaceful Category: Friends I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving...Please enjoy the time with your friends & loved ones...My myspace page will be back up real soon...I want to sincerely thank everyone for all the well wishes while I was grieving...I will be back on track soon...Much Love...Lay
Lilian Garcia wrote on her MySpace page (www.myspace.com/liliangarcia): Happy Thanksgiving I just wanted to wish you all a safe & Happy Thanksgiving. Forever Rockin', Lilian :)
KnoxNews.com has an interview with Chris Jericho. The former WWE World Heavywight Champion commented on the time he spent in Morristown, Tennessee while working for Smoky Mountain Wrestling in the mid-nineties. "I'd go to the 24-hour Wal-Mart in Morristown," Jericho said on trying to have fun in the small town. "I'd go to the Sizzler, and I went to a lot of movies. Thank goodness for Morristown's movie theater." Jericho also talks about needing a break from WWE for a while and trying out other things.
Matt Hardy has a new blog with a line recommending people watch the "Bigger, Stronger, Faster" documentary (which focuses on steroids in sports). Hardy also wishes everyone a great Thanksgiving
AS MOST OF YOU KNOW I'M GOOD FRIENDS WITH RANDY ORTON. WHEN I SEE BULL SHIT LIKE THIS IT REALLY PISSES ME OFF.
The latest issue of Pro Wrestling Illustrated has an article examining Randy Orton, which notes his smoking habit. The article suggests he could improve his stamina in the ring if he quit the habit. They wrote: "He's always had an impressive physique but only recently got serious about doing more intensive cardiovascular training. Quitting smoking could also help to improve his stamina." The magazine also noted his checkered behavioral history and said he's going to have stay out of trouble for an extended period time before WWE can fully trust him. They wrote: "Orton is going to have to stay on the straight and narrow outside the ring for a lengthy period of time before he can be fully trusted as someone WWE can rely upon to be one of its centerpiece talents. Fairly or unfairly, there are those who wonder if he's capable of abiding by WWE's behavioral expectations for the long haul. To his credit, Orton has acknowledged that he's brought those doubts on himself -- a hopeful sign that he's finally ready to reserve his bad boy persona for the ring."
MOST OF THIS IS SUCH BULL SHIT. IT IS WHAT STUPID PEOPLE WRITE TO SELL THERE CRAP MAG.
The WWE site has an article regarding the sixth annual Tribute to the Troops mission to the Middle East, which is set to take place next week following the Monday Night Raw taping at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. The article notes a few talents going on the tour including former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho, Big Show, Joey Styles and Michael Cole. WWE's one-hour Tribute to the Troops program is set to air on Saturday, December 20 on NBC.
Stephanie McMahon's official title in WWE has been changed. In her bio on the WWE Corporate site, it previously read "Executive Vice President, Creative Writing, Talent Relations & Live Events." The title now reads "Executive Vice President, Creative Development & Operations." Her executive bio reads as follows: "Stephanie McMahon Levesque is WWE's Executive Vice President, Creative Development & Operations. She is responsible for overseeing the creative process for all television and pay-per-view programming as well as directing and producing at WWE televised events. In addition, she oversees all aspects of talent management and branding. Her prior position was Senior Vice President, Creative Writing."
Vince McMahon is not particularly fond of the Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling program airing on CMT. McMahon was extremely angry after watching the show during a recent flight. Following the viewing, McMahon called John Laurinaitis and ordered him to tell everyone involved with the show that they are no longer welcome in WWE. He doesn't even want them visiting shows or talking with his company's wrestlers. Many in WWE are not happy with the program as they believe it exposes the wrestling business. As a result of McMahon's decree, Jimmy Hart will apparently not be used by WWE anymore. Hart has made a countless number of appearances promoting WWE in the past few years and has always been willing to help out the company in any way. He's almost always at the the annual Road to Wrestlemania tour events held in local malls. Hart is off the tour and officials are claiming they will never use him again. It should be noted that Hart asked WWE permission to be involved with the show, and they said yes.
Here is more on the Brutus Beefcake situation.
WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt issued a cease and desist letter to former WWE performer Ed Leslie on October 27 ordering him to not use the "Brutus Beefcake" name anymore. The legal letter is as a result of Leslie's involvement with Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling. WWE never allowed Leslie to use the Beefcake ring name in any competitive situation, which led to him using a number of ring names during his tenure in World Championship Wrestling including Brother Bruti, The Butcher, The Man With No Name, The Zodiac, The Booty Man, and The Disciple.
Leslie's side said WWE hasn't used the name on television since 1993 and that a requirement for a trademark to stay valid is acting it in commerce. Although, WWE issued a Brutus Beefcake action figure two years ago, which is usage in commerce. The trademark for the Beefcake name for usage in toys and sporting goods in the year 1993 was finally canceled by WWE in 2000. Leslie's side argued that he's been using the name on the independent wrestling scene since 2000, and WWE never sent a cease and desist letter before. He also sold his own merchandise using the name without any complaints from WWE. Leslie's side said he signed a deal with Jakks Pacific, independent of WWE, which worked with WWE, to issue a Brutus Beefcake action figure under the WWE brand and WWE was aware the rights to the Beefcake name were separate from a WWE deal.
On WWE's side, they're saying Leslie reached a lawsuit settlement with them in 1995 and he agreed that he would never use the name, or a similar name, in the future. Of course, Leslie has used the ring name for the past eight years, which could be considered a violation of the agreement, but WWE had not addressed it until now.
While people believe WWE is simply looking to protect their trademarks, it really has more to do with Vince McMahon going on a warpath against a show he hates in which he has vowed that anyone involved in the program will never work for his company. Also, WWE threatened to try and get an injunction against Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling programs airing where Leslie's referred to as Brutus Beefcake, but it's highly unlikely that anything will happen there.
CM Punk appeared on the Loser Leaves Town Podcast this past Wednesday. Punk discussed his past as an independent wrestler, his matches with John Morrison, burying the hatchet with Teddy Hart, having a bunch of merchandise, and more.
ECW Diva Tiffany has a new blog up talking about the holiday season and urging people to contribute to Hope Children's Home, a group of children living in a home in Tampa that have been neglected, abused, and discarded. You can read it at fans.wwe.com.
Apparently WWE.com is having some issues telling the Bella Twins apart. If you check out the Thanksgiving Pictures, WWE.com refers to them as, "The Bella Twins, one of the twins, this twin, the other twin and a Bella".
WWE's original plan for the Survivor Series was a triple threat match between Triple H, Jeff Hardy and Vladimir Kozlov. WWE added Hardy to the match because company officials believed a singles match between Triple H and Kozlov would not be entertaining. Hardy was simply added to make it better. There was no serious consideration in giving the WWE Championship to Hardy. The company wanted to protect Kozlov, but not put the title on him. Hardy would have likely done the job in the match had they not come up with the storyline involving Edge. Vince McMahon was said to be "noncommittal" regarding the finish of the match.
The latest on the WWE vs. Scott "Raven" Levy lawsuit can be read at http://www.ctemploymentlawblog.com Levy's side is now using the sexual harassment case of Nichole Bass vs. WWE from 2001 against WWE. In that case, the court ruled that Bass was an employee and not an independent contractor. Also included are quotes from an interview by WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt, where he admitted to this fact. It should be noted that Bass ended up losing the case. WWE now has 10-days to respond to this latest motion.
SLAM! Wrestling has an interview with Raw wrestler Charlie Haas today. He told them WWE Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis pitched the idea for his impersonator character. "John Laurinaitis came up with the (character) idea and it got relayed to the writers," Haas said. Haas said the character has helped him focus on the sports entertainment side of the wrestling business. "I came to realize that it's not all about wrestle, wrestle, wrestle," Haas said. "It's about the entertainment. I looked at people like JBL and how long it took him to develop the JBL character. I never gave up, I knew I would succeed." For the first time, Haas publicly commented on being named by Sports Illustrated in the mail-order performance enhancing drug scandal. An article on their website on August 30, 2007 named Haas as one of 10 WWE Superstars found to have purchased illegal steroids not in compliance with WWE's Talent Wellness program (alongside Randy Orton, Mr. Kennedy, John Morrison, Edge, Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms, Umaga, William Regal and Funaki). Haas was allegedly prescribed anastrozole (used to ward off breast tissue following a steroid cycle), somatropin (Growth hormone), stanozolol (anabolic steroid), nandrolone (anabolic steroid), and chorionic gonadotropin (protein hormones) between August 2006 and January 2007. Haas claims he thought it was legal, and he was doing it for "maintenance" after he had both his knees reconstructed. "I got caught up in it. I thought I was doing something legal. I'd had both my knees reconstructed. I was doing it for maintenance," Haas said. "I'm not going to lie about it. I'm not proud of what I did and I have to live with it. It was wrong, a mistake that I made. I thought I was doing something to surpass the pain. But what I was doing was hurting myself. And it was embarrassing to my family and to the company. "Since then, I've really gotten into sports nutrition (with Jackie, he opened Custom Muscle Nutrition and Smoothie Shop, a nutritional store in Frisco, Texas). Kids have to realize if you're weaker or smaller, they shouldn't take steroids to get stronger and bigger. Just eat right. It can be done right. There's no better nutrition than food." HELLO MYSPACERS AND WWE FANS,
I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GOOD THANKSGIVING.
Jim Ross has a new blog entry up, here is an sample of the entry:
On his Knox/Brody comparison: Too bad a few idiots who provide feedback on some wrestling websites simply don't get it. I mentioned that Mike Knox reminded me of a young, 1974 version of Bruiser Brody known then as Frank Goodish. I actually "knew" Frank and did not simply get to know the character by seeing his persona on old Japanese wrestling tapes. Knox is a smart guy, like Frank, has a big rangy frame, just as Frank did in the mid 70's, and pays attention, just as Goodish always did. Will Knox ever be as good as Bruiser Brody? We, as fans, can only hope so. So, no having a beard and being a large, Caucasian male isn't the only similarities I see between Mike Knox and Frank Goodish aka Bruiser Brody. And these little geeks call me a dumbass.
On Ignorant fans: About 99% of the wrestling fans I have met over the years are good folks and are nice to be around. The other 1% of which some were represented in Albany Tuesday night can be a real pain in the ass. They can't stand it if those within ear shot don't know that they read the wrestling newsletters and spend ample time on wrestling websites. They love to spout "insider" info especially personal items that makes one embarrassed to be a fan during these uncomfortable times. I could care less if fans rib me about being an OU Football fan as that's old news but when these alleged, educated (I'll use that term loosely) fans are so insecure that they want to be a part of the show and would rather make jackasses of themselves or yell at Tazz and me than watch the show then there is something wrong.
On Jack Swagger: Jack Swagger, really nice name, is the real deal and, as legend has it, never lost a street fight while attending Oklahoma University where he came as a two sport, full scholarship athlete. Swagger will someday be an ECW Champion, or hold other gold, and is likely a year away from getting his chance to be a regular, contributing member of the main event society within the WWE but make no mistake that this young man is a keeper. Nice bout between the former OU Wrestling All American and veteran Tommy Dreamer on Tuesday night on Sci Fi. FTW as some will try and figure it out, I watched it on DVR.
On a 60-Minute draw: Would a compelling, 60 minute draw be good TV for wrestling fans these days or would we here the inevitable "boring" chants if the wrestlers actually applied holds, utilized counters, and didn't rely on a plethora of risk taking and flying maneuvers? Sure, it can be answered that it all depends on who is wrestling but I'm not sure any combination of wrestlers currently active today could captivate many of today's fans or at least people who say they are fans.
- You can check out the complete blog entry on JrsBARBq.com.
WWE referee Marty Elias is back on the road after taking a few weeks off following surgery on Thursday, September 18 for a ruptured hernia. Elias worked this past Monday night's RAW taping.
- In case you didn't notice, on Monday's RAW, WWEs cameras only shot Stephanie McMahon from the waist/chest up. Strangely, there were absolutely no full-body shots of Mrs. McMahon. According to a backstage source, it was no accident as the production crew did so on purpose due to Stephanie's body shape at the moment and because she was in somewhat of a form-fitting outfit on RAW. WWE's really particular on how they want their performers to look on television, as they don't want to show them in a less-than-stellar light. As you all know, Stephanie gave birth to her second child this past July, a daughter named Murphy Claire Levesque. This same camera tactic was done as recently as a few weeks before she gave birth when she made some on-camera announcements regarding the status of RAW from WWE's Studios in Stamford, CT. Of course, Stephanie was quite pregnant at the time, but you would never know it from the way she was shot on camera as she was only shot from the chest up. Anyway, Stephanie gained quite a bit of weight during her second pregnancy, which unfortunately for her, she hasn't completely lost yet, hence the business suits and slimming black outfits, and why you shouldn't expect to see her don anything too revealing in her latest on-camera role. It's pretty well known within WWE that Stephanie has had confidence issues in the past regarding her appearance, going as far to say that a rude fan sign at least in part influenced her to get breast implants, and once saying on-screen that she's no Torrie Wilson, and that one of the reasons America is so great is because there are different body types and images.
Word around WWE is that, Shawn Michaels has pitched to wrestle The Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 in Houston, Texas. Obviously Undertaker would go over Michaels but the feeling is that the payoff for both Superstars would be very nice.

Former WWE star Scott Hall and the Insane Clown Posse are saying they are going to the Joe Louis Arena for next January's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Last night's series finale of the FX series The Shield had a storyline loosely based on the death of Chris Benoit. During the final episode, Detective Shane Vendrell, one of the main characters, kills himself and his family in order to prevent any of them from suffering because of the hole he had dug himself into throughout the series. Ultimately, Shane kills himself & overdoses his pregnant wife & son with painkillers that were placed in their drinks. He placed them on the bed with flowers & a toy in their hands. Their bodies laying peacefully with their hands on their chest is eerily reminiscent of the real life Chris Benoit murder-suicide incident. The creator of the show said the original script called for the main character to get caught by police, but he told the writers to make it similar to what the wrestler did last year.
Ric Flair is scheduled to do an autograph signing at Chickie & Pete's Sports Bar at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Philadelphia, PA.
CM Punk was at the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago earlier today and interviewed during the broadcast on WGN. Punk talked about his name, saying the "CM" stands for Cookie Monster, whose float was just ahead of him. Punk said it was a dream come true to do the parade in his hometown of Chicago. He then plugs WWE's next show in Chicago at the Allstate Arena on January 19. You can see video of his appearance at the parade at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpCQHsjPhpA&
In its first week out, the WWE: Viva La Raza: The Legacy Of Eddie Guerrero topped Billboard's Video Sales - Recreational Sports DVD chart. TNA's Cross The Line pay-per-view pack featuring the 2008 Victory Road, Hard Justice & No Surrender pay-per-view events managed to chart, finishing at No. 5. ON THIS EDITION OF AS THE HOGAN TURNS YOUR STOMACH....
Linda Hogan's 19-year-old boyfriend Charley Hill tried to get a restraining order against Hulk Hogan, but a Florida court doesn't believe Hulk is out to get Charlie and has denied the request. Charley claimed Hulk "dangerously followed" him in his car a couple weeks ago and "pulled up next to him and stared at him" at a stoplight -- a crime in no states. Charley says he "fears [Hogan] will attempt to injure or kill him" because Linda is his girlfriend. The aspiring seaman also claims Hulk tailgated him and intimidated him on another occasion, and thinks Hulk is even more dangerous because he had weapons charges against him in 1979. Hulk's Hogan's lawyer David Houston tells TMZ.com, "This is just another blatant attempt by Linda Hogan to try to defame Hulk Hogan's character. We commend the judge on seeing through this ridiculous stunt and denying these baseless claims."
WILL SOMEONE CUE THE VOILINS ALREADY.
WWE has plans for the Divas Champion Michelle McCool to make a full-fledged heel turn. They started last night in Albany, NY at the double SmackDown! taping.
ECW Champion Matt Hardy told The Post and Courier last week that he re-signed with WWE. Hardy also talked about hyperextending his previously surgically repaired left knee during an ECW title match with Finlay. "I hyperextended it and tore ligaments in the back of it midway through the European tour," Hardy said. "I had to wrestle on television a couple times after that, but what do you do? You wrap it up and go. But I'm pretty good at being responsible whenever I do get injured, and I do what I need to do as far as icing and heating and giving it the treatment it needs." Hardy saw a chiropractor a few days for the Survivor Series. "It's going to be fine. I was lucky. I had three or four days to kind of heel and rehab it. It's one of those things. It comes with the territory."
Umaga was brought to the television tapings this past week, but wasn't used. He was at the TV tapings in Albany, NY yesterday as we exclusively reported here on the site. Upon his return to WWE, Umaga will remain on the SmackDown brand and is expected to be involved in Undertaker's next program. Umaga has been out of action since suffering a torn PCL at a SmackDown live event in Johnson City, TN on August 2, 2008 during a match with Jeff Hardy.
The title track from the new Guns-n-Roses album Chinese Democracy is the official theme of the Armageddon pay-per-view, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 14. WWE has a note on the partnership at WWE.com.
During the second hour of Monday's Raw (right before the DX merchandise skit with Kelly Kelly), they put up a screen grab of the front page of WWE.com. In the caption for Cena's win at Survivor Series, the phrase 'WWE Universe' was misspelled as 'WEW Universe'. You can see a screencap of the miscue at http://pic-share.info/i3/wew-universe.jpg

HELLO MYSPACERS AND WWE FANS,
WWE spoiled Melina's return by putting her name across the board during Candice's entrance. Ouch! Lawler even acknowledged that they totally screwed up.

The WWE Slammy Awards will take place two weeks from tonight (Monday) on the USA Network as a part of a three-hour special RAW. The show will highlight the WWE achievements of 2008. This is WWE's holiday special. The Tribute To The Troops show will also be a taped show for the holidays.

Mr. Kennedy, Goldust, Pat Patterson, Melina, and John Cena all returned on RAW this week.
Confirmed for RAW next week:
*Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz *Finlay vs. John Morrison *Kane vs. John Cena
Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz and Finlay vs. John Morrison are opening round matches for the IC Title 1 Contender's Tournament. Kofi Kingston and CM Punk advanced on RAW this week so they'll fight the winners of next weeks matches. Then the two winners of those matches will face either other for the chance to take on William Regal for the title.
HBK was sporting a nasty black eye on RAW. I reported last night that Shawn took a stiff shot to the eye during his Survivor Series match last night.
As seen on Raw tonight, a female in the front row was seen holding a sign reading "Glamazon in Training." WWE's cameras closed in on her while Beth Phoenix made her entrance for the Divas match. This is of course WWE developmental Diva Milena Roucka, who as reported earlier today, was brought on the road for this week's television tapings. Roucka is a former Diva Search contestant and has been in developmental for over two years. This is straight from TNA's recent angle. Wow.

Due to Chris Jericho pinning Randy Orton in the Triple Threat Match against the Legend Killer and Batista on Raw, he nabbed the No. 1 contendership for the World Heavyweight Championship. As a result, Jericho will be wrestling Cena for the belt at Armageddon.
Last night on Raw, Kofi Kingston and CM Punk - the World Tag Team Champions - each won opening round matches of the 8-man tournament to determine the No. 1 contender to William Regal's Intercontinental title. Matches scheduled for next week are Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz and Finlay vs. John Morrison. Kane vs. Cena also takes place as noted last night.
SmackDown backstage announcer Eve Torres has posted a new blog on the WWE Universe site talking about her photo spread in the latest issue of Muscle & Fitness magazine. Torres also talks about something she's often asked about - when is she going to wrestle? Torres wrote: "As you may know I have been SmackDown's backstage interviewer since my debut after the Diva Search. Now don't get me wrong, I do love getting the scoop backstage from our Superstars... but a while back there was something inside of me that sparked... then, slowly, it turned into a small flame... and now I can say that there is a fire inside of me that is burning for competition. I only hinted to Vickie Guerrero that I wanted a chance to compete in the ring, and I was laughed at. I know it won't be easy. From being around the Superstars and Divas I know that it will take a lot of dedication to training and hard work, but all I am looking for is the opportunity to compete, and to learn. So, my answer to you is "Hopefully, soon" but I will need to earn my opportunity just like everyone else has."
ECW will be taped every single Monday prior to Raw in January. ECW will also be taped prior to the 12/1 and 12/29 editions of Raw.
As announced on Raw,the theme for their next three-hour episode of Raw on December 8 in Philadelphia, PA will feature the return of the Slammy Awards. This will be the first Slammy Awards to be presented by the company since 1997, which were broadcast on the USA Network. Awards such as "Superstar of the Year" and "Diva of the Year" will be presented during the show.
The WWE TV taping in East Rutherford, New Jersey on December 30th has been changed from an ECW/Smackdown taping to a double Smackdown taping. Due to this the WWE has canceled the Smackdown taping in Lafayette, Louisiana on January 6th, 2009.
Sonya Szatkowski, the wife of Rob Van Dam is currently doing well in her fight against cancer. She is still doing chemotherapy but as of now won't be needing extra radiation treatment.

Michelle McCool has posted a new blog on the WWE Universe site talking about returning home from the recent overseas tour and seeing her family. She also offered some interesting comments on being the WWE Divas Champion, saying that it hasn't come without a price. McCool wrote: "There's nothing I've been more proud of than becoming Divas Champion, but it hasn't come without a price. I realize that the target on my back continues to grow larger each week. I am constanly watching my back. Sometimes it's easy to get frustrated or discouraged with all that's going on around you, which is why I want to just end with a couple of quotes I find encouraging."
Gail Kim is on the road this week with WWE. She was seen meeting fans and signing autographs at the Boston hotel WWE stayed at.
Upon her return to WWE, Gail Kim is expected debut on the SmackDown brand. Kim shot promotional photos and chroma-key footage this past week and could return as soon as tonight's double-shot SmackDown taping in Albany, New York. She is backstage at the show today.

Jim Ross is back with another blog entry, which can be read at JRsBarBQ.com in its entirety. Some highlights:
- Stephanie McMahon will be a significant upgrade over former GM Mike Adamle. Good move for Raw.
- Love the team of Miz and Morrison in an otherwise lackluster tag team scene. These 2 young talents have significant upsides.
- Getting Kennedy back on TV is a positive. Seeing how he is utilized until he gets healthy is a key.
- Building focus on the IC title is a good thing, especially if it leads to Champ William Regal, a viable contender, which will help the title and the broadcast.
- Randy Orton's relationship w/ young male fans is noticeable. RKO has "it" equating to "presence."
- Mike Knox has my interest, especially if he can deliver verbally. He's a big, young, rugged kid. Opportunity may be knocking for Knox who reminds me of a very young Bruiser Brody.
- John Cena coming through the crowd and genuinely interacting w/ them worked. A more aggressive, more physical Cena should help John in the long haul especially w/ young male fans.
AND THATS ALL FOLKS.......

HELLO MYSPACERS AND WWE FANS,
WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix was the sole Survivor in last night's Divas traditional Survivor Series match. Phoenix spoke out on her victory, and you can see the video interview at WWE.com.
Today is also Beth Phoenix's birthday. She turns 28 years old.
A John Cena video was shown on the Titantron and was loudly booed by in hometown of Boston.
- Mr. Kennedy was backstage at Survivor Series.
- There were 15,825 fans in attendance at Survivor Series. That was a legit sellout.
- Shawn Michaels got his left eye busted and JBL got his mouth busted during Survivor Series.
- Jeff Hardy & Edge are confirmed for this weeks SmackDown tapings in Albany, NY.
At the conclusion of last night's Survivor Series pay-per-view, Jerry Lawler said on commentary that it was the first time in history that the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships had changed hands on the same Survivor Series show. Both belts actually changed hands at the 2002 Survivor Series at MSG with Shawn Michaels and Big Show winning their respective title matches.
The reason that William Regal was eliminated so quickly at last night's Survivor Series PPV was because he was very sick with either the flu or a bad cold. The decision was made to just get him in and out of the match as soon as possible. A few of the talents picked up colds on the most recent European tour.
Edge made his return at tonight's Survivor Series pay-per-view to capture the WWE Title from Triple H. While Jeff Hardy was pulled from the match due to the attack from earlier, Vickie Guerrero introduced Edge as the third man towards the end. After an appearance from Jeff Hardy, Edge ended up getting the pinfall and winning the belt.
The World Heavyweight Championship also changed hands tonight as John Cena returned in his hometown of Boston to defeat Chris Jericho in the main event. Cena got the win with a FU after a match that Jericho mostly dominated.
ALSO I CAN NOW CONFIRM THE JEFF HARDY STORY IS TOTAL BULL.. PAYS TO KNOW PEOPLE AT WWE LMFAOOO
From WWE.com: BOSTON – As reported earlier today on WWE.com, at approximately 3 a.m. this morning, Jeff Hardy was found in the stairwell of his Boston hotel and rushed to a local emergency room. WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis has been in contact with Jeff, who has been released from the hospital. Laurinaitis is investigating the incident. It is questionable as to whether or not Jeff Hardy will perform tonight. As noted earlier, this is obviously now a complete work/storyline.
Does anyone wonder if WWE realizes that all they've done is make the media outlets a lot less likely to give WWE any press in the future for fear of being made to look like fools again. WWE played off Jeff's real life issues with their initial announcement and of course got everyone thinking about Jeff's personal issues. 3AM? Found unconscious? Hotel room? Yah.
Although she showed signs of a hamstring of leg injury last night at the Survivor Series PPV, Candice Michelle was fine later that evening.
NOW ON THE REGULAR NEWS.....
After Friday's SmackDown, Maria joined MyNetwork TV's Masked Magician to share another special trick with Jesse & Festus. Visit WWE.com for more on the skit.
Some people missed this, but Matt Hardy was ranked No. 1 on last week's Power 25 on WWE.com. However, he dropped down to the No. 3 position on this week's list, with Jericho taking the top honors. Matt posted a statement on being ranked No. 1 on his MySpace account.
WWE developmental wrestler Lupe Viscara is now going under the name Lupe Santiago. He initially debuted under his real name, then Lupe Martinez. FCW is billing him from Mexico City and he comes out with a Mexican flag. Viscara is 21 years old and was the last wrestler to be signed to a WWE developmental contract (alongside Andrew Vein, who has been inactive for quite some time) out of the Ohio Valley Wrestling school.
WWE.com has a video interview with new WWE Champion Edge. He spoke out on his title victory last night. You can see the video interview at WWE.com.
SLAM! Wrestling has an interview Randy Orton today. In the interview, Orton admits to being a loose cannon who pushed things too far at times. "I wasn't thinking before I was saying things," Orton said. "I was taking the heel persona a little too seriously. I was told, 'This isn't going to work for you. That's what the ring is for. This is a publicly traded company and you're not a kid anymore.'" Orton added, "Vince said he couldn't have somebody who was a loose cannon. He said if any person was going to stop Randy Orton from succeeding, it was Randy Orton." Orton said he has had similar conversations with other people. "I'm sure Triple H was probably thinking it. He probably had a hundred of those conversations with me," says Orton. Orton also speaks out on receiving a bad rap for trashing a hotel room in Germany, his August motorcycle accident, and more. He also gave his thoughts on being ranked the No. 1 wrestler by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (in the PWI 500). Orton said he doesn't pay much attention to those accolades. "If I'm first or 60th, it doesn't really matter to me," Orton said. "But when my wife sees the magazine at Walgreen's ... she's like, 'That's so cool!' "They can hate me. I would love for all of them to hate me. It really means nothing to me."
The WWE site has an article on Candice Michelle's feature in the latest issue of Muscular Development. "It's cool to be a part of this fitness magazine. It's about me being injured and then coming back and about my feelings on where I am in WWE right now. It's a really beautiful layout. It defines beauty," Michelle said.
Regarding the recent release of Paul London, he had been in the dog house for quite some time, ever since he smiled during the live shot right before Vince McMahon's explosion angle in June 2007.
London also had a reputation for having no instincts as a performer, as far as how his character should be doing promos, even though everyone knew he has the wrestling ability. After losing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the August 4, 2005 edition of Velocity to Nunzio, London was told to deliver a heartfelt promo regarding his title loss. Instead, he did a goofy comedy promo encouraging fans to protest his title loss, which officials frowned upon. It was said that London didn't like SmackDown writer David Lagana's idea, but by not doing what he was told, and doing a bad promo, it really hurt his standing with the company. London soon went on a losing streak before returning as a face and teaming with the newly rehired Brian Kendrick. London also had a rep of being a complainer, which obviously didn't help matters.
London asked for time off from the road on a few occasions. After asking for time off one time, London said he wasn't sure he wanted to commit his life to professional wrestling. He was given the time off and came back looking invigorated, but a mere month later, people felt the same issues were coming back up and that nothing had changed regarding him.
Sometime back, WWE had plans to give London & Kendrick a huge push, but the duo performed poorly in the pre-taped promos given to them, to the point that most of them never made the air.
London also had a relationship with former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro, which was seen as negative by most in the company with one person saying it ruined his standing in the company. London had heat in the locker room as a result of his relationship with Massaro. Approximately two years ago, WWE had plans to do an angle on Kendrick having a crush on Massaro, but it was dropped. They also had plans to do a big break-up angle between London & Kendrick, but those plans were dropped as well. London had a reputation of being a headache to work with among WWE's creative staff. That helps explain why his obvious talents didn't go as far as they could have.
Regarding his future in wrestling, London's continuing his wrestling career as he's currently accepting bookings through an agent. The AAA promotion out of Mexico is said to be interested in his services, and he speaks Spanish, which helps a lot but they are currently on a hiring freeze. This also may not be the right time because a number of the top wrestlers in AAA are pressuring officials to keep foreigners from taking their spots.
Despite wanting to return to action soon than later, Evan Bourne tells WWE.com that his current ankle injury will keep him out of action for up to 4 months. "There's nothing I hate more than watching from the sidelines. If I could take off this big cast they stuck me in, I would get in the ring. But it's a serious injury."
TheStreet.com has a video interview with WWE CEO Linda McMahon, who talks about how the current economic recession is affecting the company. McMahon tries to give a positive outlook on WWE by saying that the fans will continue to enjoy the product as it gives them something to look forward to when many other things are looking looking bleak.
Goldust has signed a regular WWE talent contract, and not a Legend's deal as was rumored.
AND THATS ALL FOLKS.......

Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team HBK vs. Team JBL Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali, & Cryme Tyme vs. JBL, Kane, MVP, & The Miz & John Morrison

They're opening with a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. Team HBK is out first as Shawn Michaels comes out followed by Shad & JTG - Cryme Tyme. Everyone's favorite wrestler, The Great Khali, is out next. Rey Mysterio comes out last for Team HBK. JBL comes out for his team first in his limousine. MVP is out next followed by The Miz and John Morrison. Sounds like they'll have commentary from all three commentary teams. Kane is out last for Team JBL. Rey Mysterio vs. MVP will start things out as the opening bell rings. They lockup and MVP goes on the offensive first, sending Mysterio down to the mat. MVP backs Rey down in the corner but Rey counters. MVP counters before Mysterio hits a hurricanrana and a dropkick followed by a quick over. JTG is tagged in. JTG and Mysterio hit a double team on MVP and JTG follows with a two count. MVP starts to counter, kicking JTG in the face and following with a pinfall elimination on JTG. JTG is eliminated. The Great Khali comes in and quickly eliminates MVP via pinfall. It's Kane vs. Khali now.
The crowd is actually behind Khali, chanting his name. Kane counters and goes for the chokeslam. Khali breaks it up with an elbow to Kane's face. Khali takes Kane down as Mysterio gets on Khali's shoulders and jumps off, onto Kane. Mysterio eliminates Kane via pinfall. John Morrison comes in to take on Mysterio. It's Mysterio and Morrison going back and forth. Nice hurricanrana from Rey onto Morrison. Mysterio tags in Shad as he and Mysterio hit a double team. Press slam from Shad onto Morrison, he drops him right on his face. Morrison counters on Shad and tags in The Miz. They double team one half of Cryme Tyme. Miz tags in Morrison, they work over Shad in the corner. Miz and Morrison end up eating a double clothesline from Shad. Shad follows with an in-ring attack on The Miz. Big scoop slam sends The Miz to the mat. Shad pumps up the crowd and drops his elbow on Miz. Morrison in for the save as he gets to the outside. This distracts Shad to the point where he takes the Reality Check from The Miz and the three count. Shad is eliminated.
Shawn Michaels comes in and goes at it with The Miz. Backhand chops from Shawn onto Miz. Miz counters, sending HBK to the mat. Morrison tags himself in as Miz catapults Michaels into him. JBL is tagged in. He goes at Shawn Michaels with hard right hands in the corner. The referee backs him out. Neckbreaker from JBL onto Michaels followed by an elbow drop. Morrison is tagged in, he continues where The Miz left off, getting another two count. Morrison applies a side headlock on Shawn on the mat. The referee checks for submission. The crowd cheers Michaels to his feet, he backs Morrison down and delivers another chop. Morrison counters and tosses Shawn over the ropes. Shawn holds on and fends off Miz. He flips himself back in and ends up eating a cross body from Morrison. Morrison gives Michaels a scoop slam and goes to the top turnbuckle. Morrison goes for an HBK flying elbow but Shawn gets out of the way. Both men are down in the ring.
Morrison tags in The Miz as Mysterio gets in, hopping the ropes. Miz eats Rey's fast paced offense. Missile dropkick from Rey off the top, this sets up 619 by Mysterio followed by a splash off the top rope. Mysterio eliminates John Morrison via pinfall. JBL gets in and takes out Rey with a shoulder block. JBL follows up with several elbow drops on Mysterio on the mat. Finally JBL covers him, he gets a two count. Loud 'you can't wrestle' chants from the crowd directed towards JBL. JBL continues to assault Mysterio as he tags in Morrison. Morrison kicks away at Mysterio on the mat. Morrison chokes out Rey in the ropes as the referee pulls him away at the count of five. Back breaker from Morrison on Mysterio. Morrison stretches Rey over his knee. Rey counters out and kicks Morrison hard in the face. Morrison counters Mysterio's high flying offense for a back breaker followed by a tag to JBL. JBL goes back to the back of Mysterio. He locks in the bow and arrow.
Mysterio finally gets out of the hold as JBL kicks him in the midsection. JBL throws Rey face first into the turnbuckles. JBL sets Rey up on the top turnbuckle. JBL hits him in the back repeatedly. JBL gets on the middle rope with Rey, attempting a suplex. Mysterio backs him down with elbows and finally off the ropes. Mysterio goes off the top with a moonsault onto JBL. Both men are down. Looks like Michaels took a stiff shot to his right eye. HBK gives Morrison a DX crotch chop after taking out JBL. Scoop slam from Michaels onto Bradshaw. Michaels takes Morrison off the apron and goes to the top rope. JBL gets out of the ring as HBK greets him with a dive over the top. The captains go at it on the outside. JBL gets counted out as Michaels barely gets back in. JBL is eliminated via countout. Morrison goes for Sweet Chin Music on Michaels but Michaels hits it on him and pins Morrison for the three count.
Winners - Team HBK

After the match Mysterio, Michaels, and The Great Khali celebrate in the ring. Khali lifts Mysterio up on his shoulder.
Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Raw Divas vs. SmackDown Divas Women's Champion Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, & Jillian vs. Divas Champion Michelle McCool, Maria, Maryse, Victoria, & Natalya

WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix, the team captain of the Raw Divas, comes out. Santino Marella is with her. Mickie James is out next as she rips off a Raw t-shirt. Jillian comes out next followed by Candice Michelle. Kelly Kelly completes Team Raw Divas as she comes out last. It's Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool starting things out. Beth overpowers Michelle at first as it's Champion vs. Champion. McCool takes Beth down with her version of head scissors. Beth tries to counter but McCool uses her feet. Beth angrily backs McCool down as Maryse tags herself in. Maryse and McCool get into it as Maryse pushes McCool off the apron. Team SmackDown has to get in to break them up. It's Maryse vs. Beth. Maria tags herself in to face Beth. Beth goes at Maria in the corner but Maria tries to counter with right hands. Maria hits a hurricanrana on Beth but it doesn't have much affect. Michelle McCool is tagged in by Maryse. James takes her down in a bridge. McCool counters but Mickie counters as well. Back slide by McCool as Mickie gets out. Michelle McCool is able to get another near fall on Mickie James as she couters again. This prompts Maria for the save who gets into it with McCool. Michelle turns around and eats Mickie's DDT followed by a three count to be eliminated. Raw's ahead 4 to 3 but not for long as Maryse quickly eliminates Mickie James. It's Natalya and Candice Michelle going at it as Natalya locks in the Sharpshooter on her. Candice nearly makes it to the ropes but Natalya pulls her back. WWE.com has a new interview up with former seven-time WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus where she discusses her new show "Stratusphere" on Canada's Travel + Escape network and a Gemini Award nomination for Hottest Canadian Female TV Star. Stratus also teases a possible return to the ring for WWE:
"I've heard that Beth Phoenix and this new Diva Natalya have talked [trash] about me. I've said it before, but if they ever decided to call me out, I wouldn't hesitate to step into the ring."
The Edmonton Sun has an interview with Randy Orton today, and he says he wants to be the top guy in WWE. "There are few wrestlers at the level I'm at," Orton said. "My goal is to be the No. 1 guy here. I'm a future Hall of Famer. I'm already a three-time champ. Age is on my side. Nothing is going to stop me." Orton was also asked about last August's motorcycle accident. Orton said, "I was going up a hill at night. A car swerved into my lane and I had two options -- to slide into the wall or try to make a turn. If I'd slid into the wall at 30 miles an hour, I would have been pretty messed up. I (hit a curb) and landed a couple of hundred feet away. I was wearing a helmet or I would have been dead. I really got lucky." Orton also talks about being a family man: "We were just in Scotland, Ireland, Germany and Italy ... and Tampa before that. After being gone so long, I walked into our house and my daughter and wife were sleeping. They looked so beautiful, so peaceful. I just watched them for a bit. I knew then what I had with my wife. She's one of a kind."

In August 2007, Mr. Kennedy went on a media blitz in the UK promoting WWE. He proclaimed to a number of outlets that WWE stopped his steroid use in November 2005 because of the company's Wellness Policy and that his job was worth more than an extra ten pounds of muscle mass.
One of the media outlets he talked to was the Daily Star, and he proclaimed to them as well that he didn't use steroids. Of course, Kennedy was suspended by his employer a mere two weeks later as he was one of the WWE Superstars named in the mail-order performance enhancing drug scandal, alongside John Morrison, Edge, Chavo Guerrero, Gregory Helms, Charlie Haas, Umaga, William Regal, Funaki, Booker T and Chris Masters. Kennedy reportedly received anastrozole (to ward off developmental of breast tissue), somatropin (Growth hormone), and testosterone (anabolic steroid) between October 2006 and February 2007 (when the company was shut down by authorities).
The Daily Star had a chance to catch up with Kennedy, and the person behind their last story on him talked to him again. The writer confronted him about his past comments and asked Kennedy to explain himself.
"Overall I made a mistake. I'm sorry for it, I'm trying to move on and get past it," Kennedy said. "I would love to sit down with you for two or three hours and explain things.
"I was on a time schedule, so I would omit certain parts that I did not deem necessary. There is a lot more to it than what was said. It's something I feel passionately about. I believe wrestling has changed, and of course it's still apparent because I hear stories about the past, and how things were in the 80s. They are funny now, but at the time it was horrific, what happened on the road, and all the unethical things people did."
Kennedy added: "I stand by the fact that I stopped taking steroids for cosmetic reasons. If you simply look at pictures of me, there's a huge difference from when I started to now. When one partakes in those substances ... at the time I thought I was impervious, invincible. I ran into some of those situations, and you don't quit cold turkey – there are health risks. What we do is not ballet, it's an inevitability of our job, and people get hurt."
Kennedy also offered some comments regarding "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The article says Austin will be on the WrestleMania 25 card ("Mania 26 in Houston is on Kennedy's mind for a spectacular return. A certain Stone Cold Steve Austin, friend and mentor, will be joining him on a card that's bound to be stellar."). "He's always maintained he could come back and wrestle any time," Kennedy said. "Steve put in his time, and he still puts it in. He has a tremendous wrestling mind. It wasn't just a case of the right place at the right time. You can't bottle that, you can't teach that, he just had that God-given talent."
The trailer for the upcoming movie "The Wrestler" starring Mickey Rourke has been released. You can see the trailer at http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/thewrestler/ A number of wrestlers can be spotted during the trailer including Ron Killings, Ernest "The Cat" Miller, Necro Butcher, Romeo Roselli, and Teddy Hart. The Ring of Honor logo is also spotted during the film. Movie director Darren Aronofsky will personally screen the film to Vince McMahon in a few months at Titan Towers.
THATS IT FOR TODAY MY FRIENDS.
