and it was freaking awesome.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Oregon Voice at our fundraiser show last Friday. Also thanks to the Campbell Club for hosting, the Party Tigers, The Daveys, Last Trains and the band formerly known as The Mood for playing, and every staff person who helped out that night for holding it all together. We managed to collect a good amount of cash, which will go toward printing two more fabulous issues this year.

well, i missed david sedaris because i'm an idiot and got the time mixed up with minus the bear. STUPID STUPID STUPID. oh well. he'll be back.

i just wanted to let you all know that our long issue is in the works. thank you to everyone who came to our party at the campbell club. we raised 1,200 dollars, all of which will make our issue long, more colorful, and better than ever. we'll try and have another end-of-the-year show, so stay tuned! thanks again, voicies!

hello everyone,

i thought it might be fun to start an OV blog on myspace. why not?

first of all, the roll up summer show on campus yesterday was quite successful. we had great bands play for us and i want to thank them all for coming out. they did a great job, and we had a lot of positive feedback. there is an article about it in the oregon daily emerald today, which is pretty sweet. korey did a really great job putting it all together and he deserves lots of praise and free alcohol for his efforts.

everyone who came, thank you, and watch for more OV shows. for those of you who didn't come, ya'll missed out. i do believe it was the first time i've ever seen dancing (including breakdancing!) in the emu ampitheater.
