$$$Professional Electronic/Acoustic Drummer Wanted NOW$$$ JESUS FIST is auditioning SICK PROFESSIONAL DRUMMERS NOW:
(Audition Downloads HERE: http://www.jayterrien.com/music_live.htm)
Interscope Recording "Secular Doom Fusion" artists JESUS FIST are actively auditioning like-minded professional drummers in LOS ANGELES and SAN FRANCISCO who want to insert themselves into an intelligent, business-focused ensemble that will tour the United States and Europe (as well as a small-scale slew of festival shows in Japan) in support of their FREE downloadable two-volume secular treatise.
Ideally, your drum aesthetic should somewhat navigate the innovative progressive drum arrangements of peeps like Tim Alexander, Danny Carey, Stewart Copeland, Charlie Waters, Terry Bozzio, P@ Mastelotto, etc.
-------------------------- *Should have a strong music performance background (B.A. or MM preferred) *Should be able to read music (and improvise in any style) *Able to flawlessly reproduce previously recorded drum loop tracks from both Ruiner Severhead’s "The Jesus Fist Tapes" and Demond Wilson’s "The Jesus Fist Studies" (see links below!). *Excellent at crafting distinctive advanced counterpoint polyrhythms that complement existing melodic bass lines and minimalist bass loops *Can contribute vocals (shouting, screaming, heckling), if necessary *Around the age of @25-40, major label and touring experiences a plus, passport ready! *Possess a THOROUGH understanding of modern day new music business development
Jay Terrien would LOVE to hear from you so please feel free to e-mail all correspondence and MP3 demos URLs to Jay at: jay@jayterrien.com

You all might have heard that I have just enterered the world of "free". To kids. A company called "Yahoo" did this YEARS ago with vast success. They have shareholders and webmail accounts.Free is awesome. Do everything for free, but only if it is intellectually stimulating or if the video captured from such a disaster IS THAT GOOD and SALEABLE. Within 1 day of "freeing out", I have secured 7 potentially revenue generating opportunities (with 2 good bands and 5 bands that I am just showing up to do a "bad tattoo work count", where I will take a bunch of awesome hi-res. pix (like this jackass) that I can later post to a bunch of free websites for all of you to see, for free).Free is not for everyone. If you are homeless, the last thing you want to do is something/anything for free. If you can play "The Chicken" By the great Jaco Pastorius, the last thing you want to do is devalue your own intellectual property and two-hundred thousand dollar skillset by giving it away for free, to kids. Or, don't.So, I cordially announce a new intellectual movement which has NOTHING to do with an impending reality TV show that just got picked up.It's called "F.F.T.K.". "For Free, To Kids". Basically, it is the business backbone of your favorite Secular Doom Fusion artists, JESUS FIST.Ruiner Severhead got the ball moving by giving those goddamned "Jesus Fist Tapes" away for free, to kids. In doing so, JESUS FIST acheived a sizeable fanbase of committed, deranged fans that love staying on top of whatever the various FIST business properties get involved in. There is a huge business upside when you have everyone else's attention. The addition of Halterboy (he did it for free, to kids) cements this fact. Over 10,000 unique IP addresses in the form of individual downloads of those damn "Jesus Fist Tapes" can't go unnoticed. People want shit for free. "Free" actually allows GOOD product to rise to the top at a much higher velocity.
That Radiohead guy with the silent "H" is going in for open-eye surgery to get that fucking lazy eye thing fixed next week. Why? Because they released a really bad record for FREE, but it went to everyone. The marketing angle from that clusterfuck generated multiple revenue streams, which proved to be more than enough to fix his googly eye. Math-wise, two working eyes = a swift increase in productivity and a better impression that someone has "talent". To mainstream media outlets.Perhaps you don't have to market yourselves and plug your retarded CDs at smallish, java outlets if you have something that is "cool" for "free"? To kids. So, let the greedy Internet do a little legwork for you. Let the Christian fans talk about you. Give people something that they can embrance and claim a friendship with. Create mass hysteria in small, insignificant chat rooms by posting links to free shit. Just do it. Do anything. Create buzz and do it with reckless abandon. To kids. For free. No one is listening or watching so just have fun!! Kathy Griffin did it and look at what happened to her...........She is way less "lionness" looking than she was in 2002.
