Just installed the new 3" BDS lift and it's nice.  Ride quality is actually better than before.  Very smooth but yet firm and solid when it counts.  Probably due to the variable rate shocks.  Need to do some tweaking and get an alignment still.

A bunch of friends hit Rausch Creek last weekend for a day on the trails.  The weather was perfect and the trails were even better.

This was a great weekend in every way.  The weather was perfect and the new 4 door JK Rubicon worked flawless.  See the full report at OK Auto Grand Reopening and Rausch Creek Trail Ride.

Fresh off the install of the TeraFlex 2.5" Budget Boost Lift a new set of tires were needed to be fitted onto the jeepfan.com JK to complete the set up.  The tire of choice was going to be the Toyo Open Country M/T.

After trying a 35X12.50 (and it not fitting, see Will 35's fit on my JK Wrangler with stock rims?) I decided the 33" size would be a good choice for this JK.  Toyo makes a size 295/70R17, this works out to 33.3" tall by 11.6" wide.

We decided on a budget lift for the jeepfan.com JK. The JK sees more street than trail for now and the stock ride is nice. The JK Unlimited Rubicon sits good but a little boost will make any Jeep look more stout.

The lift of choice was a TeraFlex 2.5" Budget Boost, this is a complete kit that requires no modification or drilling. The kit we chose also features special shock adapters so the stock shocks can be reused. The Rubicion is factory equipped with gas charged shocks designed for off road use, it would be a shame to not use them.

We picked up the kit from OK Auto 4WD & Tire in Stewartsville, NJ and dug into the install. Read about the full install: TeraFlex 2.5" Budget Boost Lift Kit Install on the jeepfan.com JK Wrangler Unlimited
