I just want to honor Sambala again by reposting and rewording her story.

Sambala

"Sambala" came to me in a most peculiar fashion. It has probably become apparent by now that I have a kinship with the wild cats (tigers, cougars, panthers, lions, etc.). As my daughter and I were shopping one day some months ago, she insisted that I needed a stuffed animal. I resisted; but agreed to one. She pulled out of the bin an amazing HUGE stuffed black panther. I brought it home and placed it on my bed prayerfully as it was just a special cat from the moment I saw it. I quickly came to understand that this amazing stuffed cat had come to my home, my room, as the keeper of my resting place as a representation of something more than a stuffed animal. It was as symbol, an emblem, a reminder of something more. After a few hours of communication with Spirit, I came to know that the name being given me was "Sambala." I didn't know what language it was, what it meant, or anything about it. I was blessed to receive knowledge that, although many people in this time in history would pronounce the name as "Shambala" that this being who brought the name to me prefers it to be pronounced as "Sambala" and says that this is the correct original pronunciation for the true name being given me.

I had no idea what this name "Sambala" meant at the time; but more has since been revealed to me.

Sambala is a guide to discernment and enlightenment regarding the archetype of human consciousness. The thoughtforms produced by the dreams of the collective consciousness of humanity are reflections of Sambala.

These etheric creations can be found in the legends and stories in many cultures. Sambala is the astral expression of the wisdom of all life. Sambala communicates in all dimensions and on all levels, verbal and nonverbal. Sambala is the consciousness within our cells that is our soul knowledge beyond what the physical brain is capable of processing. Sambala is being fully present and aware. It is the expression of oneness through the open heart. It is the expression of the Divine through each of us and all that is. Sambala is the infinite I am.

. . .

OK, maybe that didn't translate. Here's the long version . . .

Here is the story, as briefly as I can tell it, about the panther. My daughter, who is also intuitive, was shopping with me at a thrift shop when an announcement came over the loudspeaker about a bin of stuffed animals at greatly reduced prices. She insisted that I needed a stuffed animal; so I told her to pick one out of this huge bin (about 5 feet by 5 feet and 3 feet tall) of mostly small to medium sized stuffed animals. Ashley has shopping radar for bargains; but she plunged her arms to the bottom of the bin and pulled out a huge beautiful stuffed panther about 3 feet long (not counting the tail.) I've always had a great affinity for all the wild cats; so of course I said I had to have this one, and it had to lie in the middle of my bed. I had no idea how significant that thought would become.

As with everything new that becomes a part of the sanctuary of my home, the panther was brought in prayerfully, with a blessing. Very quickly it became apparent that this was more than just a nice new stuffed toy. The stuffed panther was a symbol of an intelligence that would communicate with me and bring me great joy and peace of mind. I came very quickly to understand that the actual panther spirit communicating with me, represented by the stuffed animal so that I would have a more tangible something to visualize and touch, was there as my protector. I experience the spirit as feminine; but she doesn't care if you say "he" or "she". I rarely get names; but this spirit went to great links to give me a name for her. It was not a name that I knew, and was not in English; so this took a few hours to clarify. The name is Sambala, and it is the same name than many people today speak of as Shamballa. I felt that there was great significance in the name; but I didn't know what it meant; so I set out to find that out. There was a lot of information about ancient beliefs, a place of utopia, and more. The greatest enlightenment came from a site referring to Sambala, Shamballah, and numerous other spellings of the name as us-here-now, in an article noting it as a "guide to the origin and meaning of the mystery of the archetype of human consiousness, variously spelt" with many spelling variations for Sambala. It talks about parallels in the astral creations - thought forms produced by the dreams of humanity, and about the state of personal consciousness where one's mind is tuned into the expression of the wisdom of all Life, about being connected with the ability to communicate on all levels (verbal and nonverbal), and reminds us that the magical expression of the open mind and open heart is not up there or out there or encased within some supernatural being; but is within us here and now. I was already studying about many of these concepts, about the oneness, and about enlightenment. Sambala is not only my protector; but also my constant reminder of all these things. I am easily distracted. Sambala (the stuffed animal) is my companion and reminder of Sambala (the spirit animal, guide, and protector) and Sambala (the archetype of human consciousness and magical expression of the the open mind and open heart.) Sambala (the stuffed animal) remains on my bed keeping vigil, as my sentry, and every night when I go to bed I touch her head or paw and say her name. That's all that has to be said because I know the depth of the meaning of the name on many levels. I renew my covenants with our Heavenly Father in that moment. I reaffirm my comittment to fulill my life purpose in this lifetime. I welcome the oneness of connectedness with God, with life, and with all that is and is to come. There is one word that I can speak that is a prayer beyond all prayers I've ever prayed. The significance of the panther, Sambala, is simply beyond expression in human language.

Wolf Spirit Calls

Experience your connection to Wolf Spirit. Wolf Spirit is teacher medicine. Wolf is a pathfinder, and comes to us when we are in need of guidance on our path.

Wolf Spirit hungers for knowledge and adventure, and derives pleasure from sharing that which is learned. When you are teaching others with love and devotion, you are embracing Wolf Spirit. Wolf Spirit teaches the sacredness of all life and the spiritual nature of all that exists.

Wolf Spirit empowers you to take charge of your own reality. The Wolf instills in you the discipline and harmony to take ownership of your life experience.

The Wolf trusts and is loyal. We manifest this in our loyalty to loved ones, principles, and ideals. We protect these with strength and conviction. Like the wolf, we prefer not to battle unnecessarily. We will go to great lengths to avoid walking into battle; but will fight fiercely to protect our family and home; the family of man, the family of life, and the home of this world.

The Wolf is associated with lunar energy. The cycles of the moon draw our focus to emotional and unconscious urges. As we honor and respect our inner drive, we pay heed to Wolf Spirit. As we trust our intuition and listen to our inner voice, we lean on Wolf Spirit.

Wolf Spirit loves the strength of family bonds. Your elders and your juniors all come to share something with you. You can learn from your experiences with every member of the tribe of man. Wolf Spirit inspires us to teach the young ones respect for the rights of others. We uphold these rights with honor. We walk in loving kindness and in strength.

Wolves demonstrate their intent with body language. As you connect with Wolf Spirit, you communicate nonverbally with posture, gesture, and expressive eye contact. Wolf communicates with respect and gentleness. The Wolf respects animal natures, and compels us to face and trust our inner animal as well.

The Wolf is a representation of that which is wild and free. Wolf calls us to the vanishing wilderness. This is a calling to one’s personal vision quest; the revelation of one’s path and purpose in life.

Wolf Spirit loves the scents and sounds of nature. As you find pleasure in the sounds of birds singing, rain falling, and water flowing, you experience the call of Wolf Spirit. As you inhale the gentle sweetness of flowers, grass, and trees, you feel Wolf Spirit touch your soul. The voice of nature is the call of Wolf Spirit.

Wolf Spirit is loyalty, honor, integrity, guardianship, power, and spirit.

Ethics in Paranormal Investigation

The topic of ethics and ethical behavior in the paranormal research and investigation field is one that keeps coming to me in various ways. It truly is time for us to examine the issue and determine how it affects us and our clients, what standards of practice we feel strongly should be adopted by ourselves and possibly others, what requirements we feel might be of value as more people are introduced into the field, and how we as investigators and researchers prefer to be perceived by society. I don't have the answers, nor does anyone. Debate at this point would be nonproductive. But discussion and cooperation while sharing thoughts objectively and respectfully could yield positive results that could eventually form into a cohesive pattern of thought that might actually one day form into some common standards of practice.

My friend on MySpace, whose username is spiritsofstpetersburg http://www.myspace.com/spiritsofstpetersburg posted the following blog entry, which I repost with her permission:

Date:  Aug 31, 2008 3:52 PM
Subject:  Ethics in paranormal investigation/SPIRITS blog

-     -     -     -     -     -     -     QUOTE     -     -     -     -     -     -     -

"I worry about the field of ghost/paranormal investigation. Since the inception of the television shows, paranormal investigation has exploded into the mainstream. No longer a fringe movement, it is open to public view through the lens of specially produced television shows that bring this unusual craft into the homes of millions each week."

"What is the result? An explosion of paranormal investigation groups, conferences, radio shows, more TV shows, books, ghost tours, and paraphernalia. Granted, the focus on equipment has certainly allowed for some improvements and mass buying has manipulated the market prices, usually for the better. There is a greater knowledge of what the paranormal is about. I remember starting actual on-site investigations 12 years ago and being treated as an occultist. My research before that tapped books that were a mixture of parapsychological and paranormal – Big Foot, UFOs, and the Loch Ness Monster, resided alongside of ghosts, poltergeists, and ESP. There was no separation of ideals, and all were regarded with equal suspicion."

"However, in the decades since this mixed uncertainty there are a plethora of groups with morals that range from pure investigation to fame and money making attempts. Ghost investigation groups tend towards the moderate, with mixed methodologies allowing for sensitivity and equipment, though some groups shun psychics entirely while others are only sensitive-based. Many aim for the empirical study (of something that is a mixture of belief, empiricism, and cultural ideals). Most aim for what they see on TV: What "Ghosthunters" do, they do."

"How should teams deal with each other? There is no regulation in this field. Schisms are developing over territory (I remember when we were pretty much the only team in the area. Now there are about a dozen in the same area). Politics are terrible. When does one team transgress on another? Is permission needed to investigate an area? What happens if multiple teams investigate (or inquire to investigate) a known haunt? (We have had one experience with a new team in the area that wanted to go into a business we investigated. The business owner had such a negative experience, and was also inundated with requests from other teams, that the business is now closed to all paranormal investigation teams). What happens if one group is doing a controlled investigation? Does that location become closed to others until the investigation is completed? (We also had that experience where one team came into a location that we were investigating for a year which culminated with a public presentation/conference. This group chose to come in one week before our results were to be released and our investigation was to end; the conference was an opening point to all investigation teams to explore the area for potential haunting). Business administration did not know they were coming, staff said that this team claimed to know us and were let in)."

"Is this seen as an attempt by one team to undermine another, or was it simply a miscommunication?"

"Another issue falls to how teams interpret data. Is there one right way to investigate? This field has no hard and fast guidelines. Many have standard guidelines that most people follow (use of EMF, thermometers, cameras, for example) but beyond a basic ghost hunting kit the field is wide open. The SPIRITS of St. Petersburg is a little different. As the founder, I come from an academic background with culture/religion/education as my primary focus. This group utilizes subjective and objective research that culminates in a mixed methods (stronger with qualitative research) study. Is this wrong? No. Qualitative research is a valid form of research utilized in many culturally-oriented fields, including education. Is it standard? Let's just say that it is gaining in prominence. Yet, it is not displayed or shown on television, discussed by many groups, or utilized actively in the "scientific fields" that utilize hard-core empirical data as the only way to produce results (these turn to quantitative research). How many teams have dismissed us for this? Yet, do they even KNOW what qualitative research is? Or do they garner their knowledge from what they observe from the mainstream? In other words, what happened to the ability to critically think in paranormal investigation? If paranormalists are not critically thinking, this field will NOT grow or change."

"What happened to doing paranormal investigation simply to do paranormal investigation? What happened to the quest for knowledge? When did this become about holding conferences, meetings, workshops, fundraisers, press releases? There are groups who present themselves as investigators but who are, in actuality, money-making machines. After joining, they charge hundreds for "haunted tours," yet publicity falls on the few yearly "no charge" investigations that they do in a year, circulating out investigators who may not have any true knowledge of the field. Conferences have blossomed into investments costing hundreds of dollars to simply attend, not to mention the need to check into a hotel, eat, etc. What has happened here? How can paranormal teams do investigation if they are constantly attempting to manage seminars, conferences, and meetings? It is not to say that some meetings are not appropriate but motivation is a factor.
Is this for money? Publicity? Or education?"

"What happened to team loyalty and unity? How many teams have had members break off to form their own teams? (I always love the "use ya and leave ya" mentality). How many teams have had turbulence from unstable members, or members who attempt to do a power grab? In another unique experience, echoing what I have heard from others over the past few years, the SPIRITS co-hosted a paranormal conference in June. It was the first time a score card was needed to keep up with which group will talk to whom. If one person is invited, this person won't come. What does this create? Fragmentation. Disillusionment. Frustration. Aggravation. Cliques. Disunity."

"In the past 5 years, this field has become cut-throat and draining. As a founder, I spoke with others who said that they felt the same. One can NEVER rest. There is always another group ready to pounce; any weakness will be exploited. This field does NOT work together. It has created an atmosphere of animosity that sets out to tear "the other" down. This is detrimental to all of us. We will end up destroying the thing that we love: paranormal investigation, itself."

"If this writing angers you, good. Maybe you recognize some of what is going on, maybe you see it in yourself. If this saddens you, good. It saddens me to no end. I have seen my two other loves, arts and education, being torn apart over the years. I recognize the symptoms – over crowding in the field, lack of internal control/stabilization, self-applied morals and ethics that are easily transgressed, and poor motivation (money, money, money, and fame). The irony is that I see others recognizing these facts but, in true paranormalist style, we form individual conferences to deal with these issues.
We can't even seem to come together to form a meeting for unity (the irony there)!"

"We must find a way to come together, to stay true to what we say we will do. I have met far too many groups who say one thing and do another. It is disheartening. Yet, there is one final truth that cuts through all of this: Ghost investigation is heading for a fall unless we come together to work together in a friendly atmosphere that is conducive for everyone. Unless leaders follow their own moral and ethical guidelines, treat other teams with respect, and utilize a humanistic rule base, this field is doomed."

"So, I ask you: What do you think? Is there a solution to this? If so, what is it?"

"You are welcome to respond to the SPIRITS blog if you so wish."

This is my response:

Amen, sister! Your blog entry is well-written, clear, well thought out, and to the point. Kudos.

You have identified the problems readily.
(1) No universal standards of practice
(2) No specific educational or life experience requirements
(3) No ethical or moral guidelines in common between groups or individuals

Since paranormal research and investigation is still a fringe pseudoscience being treated by many as if it were mainstream science, others as if it were a hobby, and others as if it were a party game, there simply is no standard.

The ordinary people seeking help from a reputable paranormal investigation team are the ones who really suffer. They can easily waste months or years in misery trying to find a group who will help them; but only coming in contact with those who have no interest in actual research, investigation, and helping the people who called on them for help in the first place.

The problem is so prevalent that there cannot be a single solution.

As individuals one thing we can do is network with one another and share our resources with not only one another; but especially with those seeking help. As individuals and groups we can choose to adopt standards of ethics, make these known in print, and endorse others who also adopt standards of ethics. We should not, must not, demand that others have the same standards that we do. We MUST accept that there are different standards that are acceptable, different beliefs, and different needs. Just as there is a different religion for every spiritual place one might find himself or herself in life, there is also a differnt paranormal philosophy for every need known to man.

We solve nothing by pointing fingers, arguing, creating disharmony, spreading fear, and confusing our clients. Yes, those who ask for help are our CLIENTS whether they pay us or not. It is time for us to acknowledge that we owe them our respect, our consideration, and our best efforts to provide for them that which we have been prepared to provide.

     *     *     *     *

Let me also share my comments posted to the video, "Paranormal Investigator Tools"
http://www.iamhaunted.com/videos/id_63/title_paranormal-investigator-tools/

Someone wrote, "Exactly when was the agency created that now certifies Paranormal Investigators?"

This is my reply:

Anyone can offer a certificate in anything anywhere anytime. If you give a class on pottery, crochet, cooking, housecleaning, or building a rocket to go to the moon, you can offer a certificate upon completion of the class or course. Now, how useful that certificate may be to the owner of it could be disappointing. If you give a certificate in cake decorating and the recipient expects to be employed as a baker based on that, he or she would be bitterly disappointed. But if the point was only to gain knowledge and have something to show for it, then the certificate would be cherished.

No, sadly, there are no standards for paranormal investigation. There are no ethical guidelines. There are no educational requirements. There are no rules of practice. There is no agency to demand that paranormal investigators be educated, skillful, ethical, or moral. I think that's the point.

If we have ANY consideration for our fellow man (including Paranormal Investigators), for our clients (those who ask for our help), and for our world, then we MUST adopt standards of ethics, practice, and behavior. Since there is no standard, it is up to each individual and each group to determine what standards they feel are most important. Perhaps if we begin to publish our standards we will not only make it easier for clients to find the right person or group; but we might accidentally just find that we have certain standards in common, and that could be the beginning of a set of common standards some day.

Helping others CANNOT be accomplished successfully from a position of tearing down others, ANY others. Paranormal investigation is about determining what is really happening for people who need help in doing that. We cannot help one person while ripping apart one another. No one is really helped in that process.

So what if someone offers a certificate in Paranormal Investigation? Is there such a thing as an EXPERT in the paranormal? Of course not! How can you be an expert in the unknown? But if you do apply yourself to become knowledgeable and experienced in your field, why should ANYONE be upset because you received a certificate for your accomplishment?

And, yes, I have one of those certificates, too. And no, I don't make a big deal out of it or belittle anyone who doesn't have one.

Subject: URGENT: Please Read - World Intent - What can be done about Hurricane Gustav?
Date: Sunday, August 31, 2008, 8:08 AM

Dear Lightworker,

This is not the normal email or newsletter announcement.  I am sure this email comes to you at a time of rapid change in your own life, and I am sure you are aware of the many earth changes taking place right now.  The question we need to ask ourselves is Are we a Part of the process?  YES, and What Intention do we want to set for our growth and evolution on this planet?.  Does it have to come at the price of great pain and suffering?  No! It does not.  I am not alone in having received the guidance as to how we can assist in the birthing of this new energy coming through the sun and earth at this time.  You have been called into assistance, in your own way, through your own personal revelations and connectedness.  This connection wanes, and wavers from time to time, but ultimately it is we as the individual conscious that we are, who mush choose our place in the greater body of humanity, the earth and the whole.  That power some call God, that all encompassing, omnipotent power that feeds and nurtures us all. We have to align and recognizes our oneness.  We have all received our calling.. And I would like to you partake in this opportunity to exercise your divine right, to shine your light in unison with lightworkers all over the world.

As each of us are one, humanities pain is our own pain, our healing is humanities healing, which in turn is earths healing.  We know that many of these earth changes are a part of the process, as the earth channels the higher density energies flowing through her sacred meridian grid, yet we are a part of that grid and a part of how that energy is used and processed.  Will it continue to come forth as earthquakes and destruction, as hurricanes and tidal waves, or can it serve a higher purpose?

I believe it can.  And this is the crux of this message to you.  Hurricane Gustav, a Category 4 Hurricane is slowly moving through the Gulf of Mexico.  This is in close proximity to mainland USA, and we all saw the effect Katrina, a Category 3 hurricane had on the region, how it effected the most vulnerable people, the children, the mothers, the fathers,  and anyone else who could not afford to escape its path.

I want to ask you to join with me, in prayer and meditation.  If you do not have a regular practice of meditation or prayer, I am asking you to start one now for this purpose, and in these prayers, I am requesting that you to add your voice to mine, and ask that these energies driving the hurricane be channeled into you to assist you in your own spiritual awakening, to ask that these energies be channeled into all willing lightworkers who are sharing in this prayer, so that the destruction can be transformed into a blossoming of hearts and minds.  And that each of these meditators, each of these lightworkers, carries that energy with them, like an invisible hurricane Mandala, that can sweep through the consciousness of humanity where the real purification is needed.

Ask of the earth, ask of God, ask of the Great Spirit, ask of yourself and ask of the One for this to be fulfilled.  Ask your guides and spirit teachers to help you focused on this intent.  Lets join our hearts, minds and voices in this request, and take up a greater responsibility in the well being of this planet and its people, no matter how big or how small they may be.  Please join me, please spread the word.

Hosted at Lightworkers.org we have a public voice server anyone is free to join and form group meditations to focus on this.  I will be incorporating it into my daily practice and spending twice the time I usually do, giving twice the energy and twice the heart to this matter.  You are free to use the services of Lightworkers.org to network and connect with others to help bring this about.

You can find a semi-live update of Hurricane Gustave here : http://www.wdsu.com/wxmap/14516174/detail.html-

Send it your waves of love, call its energy into your heart and ask in sincerity for the above to be made manifest in your own powerful words.  You know what to do, you have everything you need.  You are a divine emissary of light.

Shine On.

Love Always.

Adeon and the Lightworkers.org team.

I have always had a very strong connection with plants. There was always a communication taking place between plants and my inner soul.

I can recall the puzzled looks I sometimes got from friends when they would ask if I thought a particular herb might be useful to them or if there was a reason they had a certain kind of tree in their yard, and I suggested that they ask the plant. If you hold the plant, leaf, or even dry herb in your hand, and speak to it, you can communicate with it within your inner being. You can receive a hunch or feeling, an inner knowing, and even words that come into your mind from the plant. Even dried, powdered herbs still have life force energy and are able to communicate.

I knew this many, many years ago; but didn't really give much thought to the intelligence of plants for a very long time. I wasn't sure if this communication was possible because of the plant itself or Spirit with the plant. Here is something to consider as you ponder this.

NEW! Free Online: The Essential Flower Essence Handbook in its entirety.
A classic in its field, this is the first comprehensive guidebook of this essence line. Insightful, witty, inviting.

This is from Part I, Chapter 3 Flower Essences: Seers, Sages and Herbalists

A CALIFORNIA BOTANIST

"The secret of improved plant breeding, apart from scientific knowledge," said Luther Burbank, "is love." Nicknamed "the wizard of horticulture," Mr. Burbank reveals in this statement the simplicity and humility with which he made the most astounding discoveries. An American plant breeder born in 1849, Mr. Burbank explained that he would simply talk to the plants and create for them a safe, loving space. Through this unorthodox method, he was able to "encourage" a desert cactus to drop its thorns. "You have nothing to fear," he comforted the plant. "You don't need your defensive thorns. I will protect you."

THE PLANTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

An extraordinary book, The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird, was published in the early 1970s. Were this text not backed by numerous documented experiments, it would read more like a fanciful fairy tale. One such story chronicles a cactus plant subject. Recorded through equipment much like what the Japanese police use for lie detection tests, the cactus produced song-like sounds with varied rhythms and tones. The sounds, amplified by electronic equipment, were reported at times as "even warm and almost jolly." This same cactus was also taught to count to twenty and perform simple addition, also registered by its sounds.

THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWER ESSENCES

Throughout recorded history, plants have set the stage for the drama of life. The legendary Sioux Indian medicine man, Black Elk, declared:
"For the Great Spirit is everywhere: He hears whatever is in our minds and hearts, and it is not necessary to speak to him in a loud voice." Likewise, Ayurveda, a six-thousand-year-old East Indian healing tradition, tells us that:
"The seers, through the yoga (union) of perception, let plants speak to them. And the plants disclosed their secrets—many of which are far more subtle than a chemical analysis could uncover. To become a true herbalist, therefore, means to become a seer. This means to be sensitive to the being of the herbs, to commune in receptive awareness with the plant-light of the universe. It is to learn to listen when the plant speaks, to speak to the plant as to another human being, and to look upon it as one's teacher." 5
In keeping with herbalism's ancient traditions of communing with the plant kingdom, flower essences have evolved as a natural expression of healing—in the simplest ways, through the simplest means. "There are certain things," said Dr. Carver, "often very little things, like the little peanut, the little piece of clay, the little flower that cause you to look within, and then it is that you see into the soul of things." 6 Flower essences allow us to see into the soul of things—into ourselves, our world and all living beings.

I have a new website:

http://paranormalspiritualconsultant.com/

Of course, I'm not giving up NurseHealer.com

NurseHealer.com has been a big focus of mine for many years now; but I have come, more and more, to understand that my personal ministry and eternal calling encompass much more than can be described by the wording "NurseHealer."

I was recently inspired that I would be a consultant; but I wasn't sure what that meant. Then I was moved to examine the terms put together as "spiritual consultant." That more clearly described what I do. Today the terms came together, "Paranormal Spiritual Consultant." That's it exactly; and so http://paranormalspiritualconsultant.com/ is born!

I don't know where the website will go; but it is a beginning in addressing more accurately that which I am called here to do.

In reading through the following website, I found some great counsel on ascension and what it means to us now, today, each person, individually, and collectively as the human race. . . .

http://divinecosmos.com/ (Click on "What is Ascension" for the full text.)

The following excerpts are quoted directly from the site. (This is not my writing.)

From the site . . .

In the Law of One series, this forthcoming Ascension event is said to propel the earth into a state that will be considered one hundred times more harmonious than life on Earth is at present, which would be a definite improvement… a world where, as the Master Jesus once said, "As I do these things, so shall ye do them, and greater things…" (Holy Bible, John 14:12)

The next question is this: Do we just sit back and wait for the "cosmic magic carpet ride," or does personal ambition and participation have something to do with what we will experience as this interplanetary evolution completes itself?

The Law of One series and many other sources, including my own, tell us that we DO have to prepare for this event. Though some might groan as if hearing a bad punchline, the secret is that "it's all about spiritual growth in the end." In order to "make the Ascension", we have to achieve an above 50-percent motivation towards "service to others," or the positive path, as opposed to "service to self," or the negative path.

Providing that we accept the validity of the Law of One information, we are then led to a crucial question: What IS Service to Others, exactly? How does one practice it to the best of one's own ability, especially if you are trying to do more than just meet the minimum requirements?

At times, the Service to Others path is said to be the path of unity, seeing all others as the self, whereas the Service to Self path is said to be the path of separation, seeing the self as above all others. Here is the exact quote that emerged in the Law of One series when the questioner asked Ra for more detail as to the best way to follow the service to others path:

The best way to be of service to others is the constant attempt to seek to share the love of the Creator as it is known to the inner self.

This involves self-knowledge and the ability to open the self to the other-self without hesitation. This involves, shall we say, radiating that which is the essence or the heart of the mind/body/spirit complex.

Speaking to the intention of your question, the best way for each seeker in third density to be of service to others is unique to that mind/body/spirit complex.

This means that the mind/body/spirit complex must then seek within itself the intelligence of its own discernment as to the way it may best serve other-selves.

This will be different for each. There is no best. There is no generalization. Nothing is known.

- The Law of One, Book One, Session 17, Page 166-167

. . .

To become conscious of that which motivates the self is to become aware of the choices that have been made [in life], and of the extent to which most entities have declared martial law over their own free will in their minds.

So when we state Service to Others as being the desirable path, that path has greater complexity than simply attending church or appeasing those around you and making them happy.

The Service to Others path is a path of integration of self, and through that integration of self, becoming aware to some degree that there is no separation between self and others.

This is decidedly different than one only looking as far as to see it as being a function of volunteering one's time in such things as a soup kitchen or otherwise.

Therefore, this path is, in one sense, rather difficult to define, and any attempt to use one concept or one set of words is flawed by its very nature.

The reason why we decided upon the term Service to Others is to hone in on that which approaches the greatest degree of truth as a system of meditation for an awakening soul.

Yet a soul that only thinks of service in the conventional form will not truly grasp what it is that we are teaching.

. . .

You will find that those who are ready for fourth density are those who have adopted a unique system of beliefs that is tailor-made to what interests them.

We have stated that an entity on the positive path must experience all things desired, and yet this alone is not sufficient. For once these experiences are sought after, they must then be understood, accepted, integrated and forgiven. Only when this is accomplished is the entity then capable to distill the love and light that can be found inside ones' experiences.

The extent to which an entity is capable of distilling its experiences through free will is the extent to which an entity has polarized on the positive path.

The negative path is a separate discussion, dealing more with the love of self and the distillation of ones' experiences in the direction of seeing others as being subservient to self.

Therefore, the entity at this time may be feeling as if the occupational configuration is not truly "service to others enough" to be a fulfillment of one's spiritual path. Recognize that in one sense this is, as David might say, "old world thinking."

The implication is quite clear. In order to be on the positive path, one must be capable of doing one's own thinking. Doing ones own thinking, by a very specific process, involves looking beyond that which society would define as spiritual.

And thus we would ask the entity not to fall into often-seen trap of feeling that one must be doing something that most entities on your plane would define implicitly as "spiritual" in order to be moving in the right direction.

In a sense, one could say that society requires all forms of employment. Every role is spiritual in the sense to which society requires all these roles to function. If every entity were to take the path of the Buddha and put on a robe and sit out on the street with one's begging bowl, then nothing would ever get accomplished and there would be no ability for society to move forward.

Similarly, when you move into those higher realms that are much more spiritual in nature than the third by virtue of the degree of unveiling that is then made possible in the mind/body/spirit complex, we do not have a situation where every entity is a teacher. There are those who do, and there are those who teach and there are those who nurture among many, many other delineations.

There are all sorts of different job descriptions for entities in higher planes. Many of these jobs do revolve around service to those in lower densities, specifically the third. And there are many ways in which that can take place.

. . .

Therefore, we want to be ever-more clear in stating that you can look beyond that which is in front of you and see the deeper ramifications in which one understands that all is sacramental. Every job is truly sacramental if one understands the true degree to which spirituality is implicit in all.

And therefore, again in discussing the Service to Others path may we state that what you are doing career-wise does not directly have anything to do with this path.

Instead, the extent to which you serve others and follow that positive path has to do with making your own decisions, to accept yourself, to love yourself, to forgive yourself, to look upon the past and distill the various things that have happened, to find the love and the wisdom that was present in those moments when you might have felt betrayed by your mother or father, when you might have felt as though the world had turned its back on you and left you bitter and unaware.

A spiritual person touches all whom they meet by the radiance that they give off of self-acceptance and self-understanding. Once this becomes the guiding force of your actions you will find ever-increasingly that your speech becomes more fluid, that you do not need to use verbal pauses such as "um," "like," and "you know."

To an increasing degree there will be a comfort with living, a comfort with one's sexual orientation and no need for shame or blame.

If another self on your plane chooses to judge you for any number of things, it is their position to do so and their right as a free will entity to do so. It does not mean that you need to take in this opinion in any way, shape or form.

Therefore, the barbershop pole does then spin and the dancing colors do then show where it is that you will get a haircut and, in so doing, transform your physical appearance. The hair that we wish to cut is that which has grown unsightly on the etheric body rather than the physical body. In giving you a haircut, then, we are trimming up the aura and making it more presentable. It comes about as a presentable form when you become presentable to yourself, see yourself as whole and complete and pure, see yourself as the light, as the love… as the One Infinite Creator.

 * Recognize it in yourself first.

 * Recognize that all is acceptable and that you are good in every way.

And then, move forth to see how all others are reflections of that One Infinite that can only truly be understood in its deepest ramifications within.

And therefore, the world is your mirror, as are all others.

The Lightworker Mission . . .

Quotations from Adeon
http://lightworkers.org/node/5529

What is Lightworking?

"Just as the sun rises each morning, to shine its light into the world, so it is with lightworking. To walk upon the face of the planet lightly, light in spirit and bearing, and shine love, happiness, tranquillity and peace into the world. To calm the inner turmoil, to just be, and be at one with who you truly are, to love and honour life as an expression of divinity, to love all that is, that power some call god, and of course to love one and other unconditionally. In being true to the divine presense within all beings, and releasing all false thought forms, all masks and illusions, is the essence of lightworking. In this lightworking emanates love, happiness, joy, faith, hope and inspiration into the inner and outer world. This not only helps to awaken the lightworker, but also to awaken others to their own natural state. What can be called enlightenment, what may be called ascension. A Lightworkers divine mission then comes to life, as one enters the flow of creation and maintains the presence of awareness without being caught up in the turmoil of the creation. This is done in the service of all. For all beings (self included), all the time."

What does a Lightworker do?

"All life exists for a sacred purpose. A Lightworker, that is a being, aware of their true presence, their inner awareness and non-dual nature then becomes a vehicle for divine activation. This role is a very simple and a natural one. When the illusionary self is dissolved into the true sense of being, the IAM presence, a being begins to shine and resonate this mandala field of pure state bliss. The transition starts from Lightworker to Light Being. This activation can occur anywhere, in any situation, in all places, roles and demographics, from the mother at home to the soldier in the military, even in the depths of the darkest regions of human nature this blossoming occurs. It can be slow, or instant. It has been this way for eternity. For all the people, all the time. All for one and one for all. This is the effortless state of being, devoid of all grasping, all seeking. This is existence under a blue sky, and bright sunshine, exposing all to the life giving energies of our divine source."

Where do I start?

"Being a Lightworker is both very easy and very hard. How hard is it to be the real you? Are you prepared to let go of everything? Think of who you will be when all form and material life is gone. That is the real you. Are you prepared to forgive and release all? There is nothing you must do, it's all about what you no longer need to do. To stop hiding, to face the true awesome reality of who and what you are, free from all illusions. Are you a thinking, breathing, centered person? Do you control your ego, or does your ego control you? Do you live in a state of awareness or reaction? Where are you looking for your answers? Within or without? These are all serious questions we must contemplate and come to accept for ourselves.. To "Know Thy Self" beyond mind, beyond ego, beyond words is the first and only step."
