Hard Rock/Classic Metal Band "Metal Knights" To Donate Proceeds Of Song To Donate Life America During Month Of April

METAL KNIGHTS have since their inception had a relationship with DONATE LIFE AMERICA and ALEX BAND'S DONATE LIFE ROCKS. Lead Vocalist Robbie "RAZOR" Robfogel is himself a transplant recipient. On April 23rd of 2005, Razor was transplanted at UCLA Medical Center with a new liver. Diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 1995, Razor barely made it to his life changing date before almost dying on the table twice. The band has recorded with some of the Rock worlds greatest musicians for Donate Life before, including Rudy Sarzo (DIO), Pamela Moore (Queensryche) and Tommy Asakawa (Warrior). The band is now working with Craig Goldy of DIO and he is currently working one on one with the band in songwriting with Razor and producing their first efforts. The song MIRACLE IN DISGUISE was co written by Goldy and Razor as a way to say thank you to the donors family and to let the world know how important organ donation is in today's wo! rld.
In July of last year, METAL KNIGHTS headlined a Benefit Concert for Heavy Metal Radio Legend TAWN MASTREY, who later died while waiting at 1 on the transplant list in Minnesota. Sadly an organ was not found in time. Razor and Tawn were old friends from their days in radio in the mid 90's when Razor was on the air. Mastrey continued onto work for national radio and ended her career in 2007 at SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO hosting the popular channel HAIR NATION.
At the benefit concert, members of DIO, GREAT WHITE, XYZ and others came to rock with METAL KNIGHTS to raise money for Tawn. Those attending included Simon Wright (Dio, AC/DC, UFO), Craig Goldy (Dio, Guiffria, Rough Cutt), Tony Montana (Great White, Anna's Brother) and Terry Illious (XYZ). The event was hosted by
KNAC. COM air personality Diana Deville.
"MIRACLE IN DISGUISE" came easy to write for both Craig and I", says Razor. "We knew we wanted to write a song to say thank you for such a great gift, and also let people know just how hard it is waiting for that Miracle to come along, and for me, it was literally at the last moment."
Goldy and Razor came up with the idea of selling the song, the rest of METAL KNIGHTS, which includes, Billy King and Don Bonick on Guitars, Marty McDermott on Bass and Dave Krause on Drums agreed that this would be a good way to keep the meaning of the song real, and do some good for DONATE LIFE AMERICA, and help keep Tawn's memory alive.
METAL KNIGHTS have been busy in the studio with Goldy working with them through his DESTINY BRIDGE program. Previous success stories from DESTINY BRIDGE include the now metal greats BENEDICTUM whose new album "Seasons of Tragedy" is gaining worldwide critical acclaim. METAL KNIGHTS has written 3 songs so far with Goldy, MIRACLE IN DISGUISE, DEATH DEFIER and THE GATES OF HELL (Hope Springs Infernal). The internet radio world is taking notice of METAL KNIGHTS now as well, with them having both MIRACLE IN DISGUISE and DEATH DEFIER go to the most requested song on one internet radio station with a global audience, and in high rotation on several others. DEATH DEFIER is also being played over in Europe on Terrestrial based radio. MYSTAGE METAL, a new METAL MUSIC site on Myspace has also tapped into METAL KNIGHTS and their unique, yet classic metal sound. MYSTAGE METAL will be doing a special on METAL KNIGHTS in the coming months, as will internet radio station SMOKIN TU! NZ RADIO during the month of May with DJ Brian Boone.

"There has always been this stigma attached to HARD MUSIC, and if people really knew the truth at what huge and great hearts a lot of the big players in the field of Metal have, they would be floored! I personally have seen the goodness in people like Rudy Sarzo, Craig Goldy, Simon Wright, Ronnie James Dio, Rob Halford, Lonn Friend, Slash, on-air personalities at radio station such as
KNAC. COM like Long Paul, Diana Deville, Philthy Phil, Junkman and others, these are all HUGE names in the METAL world, and all of them have given of their time in one way or another to the cause of organ donation. They all have HUGE hearts, and the world needs to know that!" "I would personally like to thank Denise Mancini Tripp over at ALEX BAND'S DONATE LIFE ROCKS. She has been a Godsend for the band, allowing us to play at the DONATE LIFE ROCKS 2007 CONC! ERT, and always looking out for not just us, but the work she does for organ donors and recipients is so great, she works so hard for what she believes in, and that is what makes her special" adds Razor.
On word of METAL KNIGHTS plan to donate the proceeds of the song during April to DONATE LIFE AMERICA, Tripp responded, "Thank you, Craig, Rudy, Diana, Pamela and everyone who has helped us out. I agree that there is a stigma associated with "metal" music, but I know first-hand that the guys in Metal Knights and especially Robbie (Razor) Robfogel have hearts of gold.
