Last Saturday, TMR drove down to Columbus and played a show at Vic's. This was a new venue for us, and it ended up being a great show! Vic's is an offbeat little coffeehouse/bar/restaurant that pretty much has something for everyone. (Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Vic's breakfast...delicious!) Since OSU classes start soon, the crowd was a mix of local Columbus folk as well as students. We even had a Cleveland contingent - thanks for driving down guys, it was really great to see you there!!!
Danny brought the accordion, which always makes for a good time. We shared the stage with two other acts - Rockbridge Crossing (crazy slide guitar!) and Sue Jeffers. By the end of our set we even had some dancers...that's what I like to see - audience participation!
Anyway, we love Vic's and we'll be back there in a month or two, and maybe some other places around OSU/Columbus, too.
love,
Laura

All right, check this out: we have a new way to distribute our podcasts. If you haven't already noticed, I've added the streaming podcast feed to our main Myspace page. You can subscribe to the feed and get auto-updates, as well as embed the player into your own myspace page.
But what I think is really cool is that at the drop of a hat we can literally phone in our podcast from any telephone. :)
I imagine some crazy phoned-in stuff will be just around the corner.

Recipe for the perfect evening: 1. Attend the TMR CD-Release Show at 9:00 p.m. tonight at the Book & Bean. 2. Buy a coffee and groove to the tunes. 3. Buy TMR's new CD/DVD album "WATCH THIS," for only ten bucks. Enhance the experience with a "WATCH THIS" t-shirt (fifteen bucks). (Or get both together for only twenty.) 4. Listen to the album on your way home from the show. Then tune in to WBWC 88.3 FM The Sting and listen to TMR live (again!) during the second hour (midnight to 1:00) of "In The Garage" with host Dan Joslyn. 5. Sleep peacefully.

It's a two-disc package (a full-length album and a bonus DVD with over an hour of video features and extra songs) that will cost only $10. And it will first become available at our CD-release show at the Book & Bean on January 27. Don't miss it! TMR. New album. Watch This. Book & Bean. January 27. Oh yes.
