Hip Hop TV has now gone through a total overhall in the last few months. Hip Hop TV will be back better then ever on free to air TV, Ch31, Sydney, Australia, with a Australia wide audience now ready to witness Hip Hop TV at its finest ever starting our new season, now sesson 5, on free to air.

This brings a whole new commitment of provideing new and exclusive content on a weekly basis. Currently we are on overdrive in in filming our 1st 4 episodes that will be ready to go to air. This is a 4 part special in the 4 elements of Hip Hop. DJ, DANCE, GRAFF, & MCING.

The rest of season 5 you can expect the biggest international acts, and ofcoarse your favourite local acts, plus the hottest music video from oversease and Australia, that other shows, just do not have the balls to show!

We have completed the DJ and DANCE special, and we will have a preview on here for you , in the next 48 hours.

We have welcomed to the team, as Director of Photography, from Homeair Films, Helal Shmiessam, has experience in several award winning short films. Also we also welcome a new presenter to be alongside, Hip Hop TV's original and favourite presenter, Sharni Pribadi, comes the amazing Amber Mccormick, from MTV. Amber brings a brand new lite as as current news producer and writer for MTV. Hip Hop TV is now ready to make some major noise this coming month.

We will keep you updated with what we are up to, and where we will be, so that artists out there can make sure they are part of what will be going to air early September 09, on free to air Ch31.

This is a new chapter for Hip Hop in Australia, and we thank you all for your continured support over the past 4 years, we would not have got to this stage without you. We are here for the local scene so hit us up with suggestions on how else we can help.

This week Hip Hop TV starts filming in its brand new TV studios

Hip Hop TV is proud to announce a new era, a new look, and an element that is now key to achieving what Hip Hop TV set out to accomplish from it's conception.

For season 4, Hip Hop TV has repositioned itself to become a major player in online TV, and mobile TV, by exposing new talent, and also the promotion of upcoming tours and events. Obviously we have been doing this for over 3 years, though to this point our dedicated staff as frustrated as we were and so goes for many artists, labels, and promoters we have filmed for, a long period would be taken for our footage just to be seen. End result then defeating the purpose, especially when it comes to release dates, concert dates, and playing the part we have been intending to play.

We are proud to service the Urban community what it desperately needs, and finally we have received the backing. Part of us evolving to cater as best as possible to ALL URBAN news, events, and coverage. This news will literally be, up to the minute, as we are building up to be one of the major outlets for Australian and international Hip Hop/Urban music news.

HOW?
Our new state of the art film studios, in Randwick AVAILABLE NOW FOR BOOKING FOR EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON - HIP HOP TV FILMS 1:30pm to 4pm.
(We can only cater for 2-3 interviews per a week, and 1 "live" performance in the studio). Footage is then instantly viewable online on our website.

For any media announcements, tour date info, and artists info emailed to us each week by THURSDAY CLOSE OF BUSINESS, we will endeavor to deliver that news, filmed in our band new set, then instantly edited and uploaded onto our website.

50 Cent featuring G-Unit Live 

Just got back. It was a decent concert I have to say. They did make the entertainment center look like a full house. I must say it was a bit of a surprise for me to see 50 cent and G Unit pull a crowd bigger then alot of other Hip Hop acts that have visited the country in recent months. Especially when many would of thought that The Game had put a nail in 50 Cents career about 2 years ago.

The concert itself would have been very enjoyable for the younger peeps. Mmyself i was just looking forward to hearing his older stuff. That didn't happen that often with probably P.I.M.P.(timeless track) and 21 questions plus the infamous In Da Cub at least making an appearance. Of coarse he added in the Candy Shops and Hands Up. There was alot new material they did, bare in mind it was 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo on stage the whole time. (before the support acts which I heard were great but I unfortunately missed.)

At the end, for someone like me who is not really the biggest 50 Cent fan at all, especially after a such drastic changes in lyrical content just after a couple of releases after his first official release "Get rich or Die trying", which is arguably up there with Hip Hops greatest gangster track albums. I actually fealt happy for him, just for the fact can still pull a crowd. Big ups to him.. the man is a survivor and love him or hate him, looks like he will be around for a bit. Then again I love The Game, not trying to fuel beef hear it would just be interesting to see what kind of crowd he pulls.

FOR ALL OF US ON THE GRIND IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS

I will say first I am still learning but I believe I can help alot of people just from this blog here which was overdue on my behalf.. I sense some artists get easily de-motivated, which is normal, and easy to understand why. Something made me feel like writing this, mainly to help people save alot of time I wasted personally throughout the years. I learnt alot of this over time just through being around, Whether it be from the streets to running a corporate business and learning things that are not really advertised like reading or as in things that I learned all successful people have something in common regarding how they percieve things and thier mentality.. What they teach us at school or what even most parents teach own kids is without realizing, that anybody can do what they want to do. yet we hold them back from thinking big. When we are growing up, we are told "no" you cannot do that, or "no". your kidding you cant achieve that. It is all about how you precieve small things in life and how you look at youself.

You need to take stuff like friends and some family that doubt you say, which I know 1st hand. Like "get a real job, your not making money in this, your dreaming etc etc and not focus on it. hang around positive people that think big, and believe in you. I learnt that first hand and things happned instantly.

Focus on the positive of what you do and picture and visualize these same people from the past applauding you for sticking to your goals. Try never to be hateful towards them, and always talk about what your going to achieve to all your close friends. Always talk about it because that conditions you to keep working towards it as well.. Maybe keep quite in front of the parents for a whle lol. Also try remember things that made you proud in the past after you achieved them when you though before hand it was not possible. We have all had moments like that. Dreams should be used to create a solid vision.. The vision never eventuates till you actually plan the details. Remember to see fruits of your labor learn to give 1st. The moment or way in which you actually reach a specific goal is usually never predictable. They do come from previous decisions, associates, and how much you have given as in how much do you contribute for the benefit of others.. All that comes around eventually. It all connects with who you associate with and networking while using the above methods.

There are examples with people with this mentality all around us in Australia and New Zealand and indeed around the world.. That’s a start - find a mentor(s). Nothing wrong with approaching them in a way saying "hey I admire your outlook on things, and what you have achieved, do you mind if I can email you once a week for advice. Then it will grow from there. Most religions believe and also the Lord  said ask, and you shall receive. All of us have a right to do what we set out to achieve. Another very important thing is learning how to handle rejection. It is all how you interpret it, and you can not let it deter you. I good mindset is every rejection brings you closer to a prospect. Few people see the positive in every situation. Many don’t realize all successful people faced more regection then the average person. That is exactly why, and the above, few people become successful. In this world. Everyone has a different meaning for success. At the end of the day love everyone, and they will love you, vice versa also works. That helps the "law of attration". That’s probably another book there, but you get the idea i hope.

Grab a dairy.. go to the end and remember the sky is the limit, but remember to write what YOU KNOW you can achieve. If your half hearted, try again next time, because you are waisting your time. Start from where you want to be(end of Dairy), then work your way back, with detailed steps, breaking each goal leading up to it

I have met alot of people in this business. In the last 7 short years. Starting out in producing low budget TV adversing, then working in a small record label label, then onto Hip Hop TV. I learn’t many things from many people in different aspects in the business, (and still learning).

I learned that you cannot hold back when wanting to achieve where you want to go. I am blessed with a team of outstanding individuals, you know who they are if you don’t then get familiar. They are in the "top row" of our friends list. These individuals play instrumental roles in making the show happen each week. Thanks to Sharni Pribadi, Desiree(FoxyD), and Jasmine Khan(Jazzie K) who are the lead presenters. John Payne (JP)is the legendary co-founder of Death Row, who I have to say is my mentor. He has helped us tremendous when in doubt, and also what I learn’t from him, no university in the world can teach. You a legend JP and always part of the family Hip Hop TV family. Also not forgetting the rest of the Hip Hop TV team behind the scenes, Gianni Shilliro, the shows assistant in production. Among many others I will talk about in future blogs Who definitely deserve a mention. There are so many other mentors in around us I look up to. I will be sure to follow up on them in more detail.

One thing I can say to artists out there thinking that maybe it ain’t worth continuing their passion. You have to think of it like this. "If you had 12 months to do what you your dream is and then your no longer aloud to pursue it if you did not reach it" If your like me, then your reading the right blog. I know if I am not doing what I love then I have not lived what "I believe" I was put for. The word fate gets thrown around alot, though I do not fully disagree, I believe we are what we attract. "The Law of Attraction". I believe the mind gravitates toward whatever it is your thinking in your head. So if your telling your self "I am not good enough", then your actually correct, because your conditioning your brain, then your body to do just that.

These books have been around some are new, make an effort to at least choose a section that relates to you. Though front to end is the way to go. Does not matter how long it takes you to finish the book, you will get something from it each time you pick it up.

"Ruthless" - Jerry Heller (Jerry Heller was a close friend of the legendary Easy E. they were both partners in  Ruthless records. Giving birth to  NWA, Dre Dre and a lagacy of gangsta rap that still carries on world wide.  As widely known, Easy died  of an unfortunate complications from AIDS. Alot of easy E fans feel,  he has not got the propper recognission  he deserves. Jerry Heller does every justice here. It has so much detail. It is one of few biogrphies iff any that take you inside the privte rooms of the recordoing business. I loved it. There is more Easy E news instore from Jerry in a different blog.

"Music Business" - Shane Simpon & Colin Seeger  (wats up fellas, thank for all the help and friendship is much apprecated - these guys are the best in the business side of the busines).
