Regarding Proposition 8: You are masters of manipulation and hypocrisy. Keep your crooked hands off what does not belong to you. You compromised your religious doctrine for political gain. You are ashamed of your own history. You fund fear propaganda and are generations removed from the spirit of Christ.

I was watching a video clip of Alessandro Cortini talking about his Buchla 200e synthesizer. He said he mainly makes evolving pad-like sounds with it. I don't have $10,000 but I decided I wanted to make a similar soft polyphonic sound. I went in the garage, turned on my Sequential SixTrak, ran it through the Memory Man and ended up with this sound. It was not supposed to sound like an Aphex Twin cover. It was inspired by the Cortini interview. If you are familiar with Aphex Twin you might be laughing, I thought I should post it anyway.

It's midnight and I'm watching "Drive Well, Sleep Carefully" about Death Cab For Cutie and they are the most boring individuals to ever have a film dedicated to them. (Former most boring: Wilco "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart"). I love how watching this film is turning my dislike for this band into a permanent hatred. P.S. Ben Gibbard sings like Kermit The Frog.

I downloaded Ableton Live and have been making "mash ups" for the past couple of days. One was good, some were terrible. Billy Joel vs Justice was pretty good, however, I am afraid I must retire this new skill. Mash ups do not offer me spiritual fulfillment, in fact I feel like I've spent the day under fluorescent lights digging through a bargain bin. "Microwave music" said Mary J Blige, "Welcome to McDonalds, how may I help you?" said Lucinda Williams. Yes, we live cheap lives. PVC is deadly, gives off dioxin... this music too, gives off poisonous gas. No more I say NO MORE. If R.E.M. and The Cure are too slow to dance to... tough shit.

TAG YOUR IT!
Here's how you play: Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird, random things, facts, habits or goals about yourself. At the end, choose 10 people to be tagged, listing their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave them a comment ("You're It") and to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. Since you can't tag me back, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can see your answers.
Brianna: 1) My favorite thing to eat is soy lattes. 2) As a child, my mom used to freak me out by crying and telling me that she was afraid I was going to die young. Don't do this to your kids. 3) I was raised Mormon. But now I just watch Big Love. 4) My favorite painter is Tony Dubovsky http://anthonydubovsky.com/. And when I was his student he asked if I had a boyfriend and if my boyfriend was wealthy because he wanted me to marry someone rich so that I could be a painter. 5) I recently designed an Embryonic Stem Cell Research Laboratory that will be built at UCSF. Ha! All those hours playing Tetris payed off. 6) I miss making songs with Tory and Kim. Hoppi Potti por vida hombre. 7) I love documentaries but they always make me sad. They tend to make it seem that to be successful, you have to be isolated and/or egotistical. Except Benjamin Smoke, where the pretty and happy outweighs the sad. 8) My first real experience in another country was this summer. When you don't speak the same language as anybody else in your immediate world you can pretend you are dreaming. Or that you're in a movie. 9). I have an extremely foul mouth when I'm playing video games or chess. 10). I am quite the dancer.
Tory: 1) I am rarely shocked 2) I smell my hands all the time 3) I get angry at my friends when I'm alone 4) I have a crush on John Goodman (but don't like Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Matt Damon or Ashton Kutcher) 5) I think Erasure are more important than Sonic Youth 6) I pick my nose all the time 7) I involuntarily look through people's cupboards, boxes, glove compartments, purses... 8) I collect drum machines (some of which I have doubles, in case one breaks) 9) I buy people things that I want 10) I hate using disposable products

The range of possibilities seem to be bound by consumer production demand. "You want to live fake life?" Digital nerds aren't ruining it, it's the mothers and fathers who love the ease of 21st century living. They also enjoy choosing between five kinds of milk. The 3280 chip is no longer in production. Good job assholes.

Andy McClusky looks really good. He has aged well, like Morrissey. This French TV host is shameless. Look at them squirming in their chairs. I hope they come to the US.
