Hi Friends,
Wow! Another summer is wrapping up and school is back in session! Hasn’t been too hot of a summer in Texas although I have to be honest in telling you I’ve escaped some of the heat while in Michigan spending some time with the family. The Lord is good and remains forever faithful. Hoping that you’re enjoying the goodness of God every day of your life. I’m not talking about physical blessing but the steady presence of God in your every moment.
We just finished several great worship events and are looking forward to the new that’s coming. Kari Jobe and I did a night of worship at Covenant church in Carrollton, Texas and were able to reconnect with some friends and enjoy an awesome night in the presence. Hoping to do more of the same in the very near future. As I write this, I am on the way to Windsor, Canada to minister at the church and city in which I spent many of my earlier years. I'm believing God will meet us in a special way.
Mike Hayes recently spoke on worship and I was reminded that worship carries a cost. Abraham worshipped and was asked to sacrifice his only son. Solomon sacrificed in a major way before the glory was released. Mary broke open her alabaster box representing a year’s worth of income as she worshipped. God meets us at the altar of sacrifice. There is a cost involved and something should die at the altar. We should never leave the same as when we came, and more of His life, less of us, should be the result. In our modern culture we often desire a feel good experience but the life of God can only be revealed in us as we yield ours up.
These are hard times for many and I believe may become much more challenging. Who knows where the days to come will find the church. Practice the presence in your family and everyday living. Love and cherish God’s law, writing it upon your hearts. Mentor your children to do the same. Don’t allow the mindset of the world to press in on you. We are the called out ones, the elect, the salt and light in the earth!!
Upcoming Events
I want to give you an update on a few new and exciting things. We are starting a free mp3 download every month that I hope to continue for many years to come. My goal is to release songs that will bless the body and encourage. Come back and look for the free mp3 every month!
I’ll be a part of the CFNI Alumni Reunion in October that will reunite many of the worship leaders of the past for a live recording. Looking forward to that. If you are interested in joining us, you can find out more information on the CFNI website.
Please put on your calendars to join us for our next recording on November 20th at Trinity church in Cedar Hill. Kari Jobe will be joining me that evening and the purpose is to record an intimate night in the presence. Not looking for a lot of hype that evening but a night to make way for the King. Worship is going to release the prophetic in the church in the days ahead and the Spirit will speak to the bride and prepare her for the things to come. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for the worship you give to the King!
Grace on you!
Klaus

We were doing a worship event a little while back, and I felt the impulse to sing The Battle Hymn of the Republic. When we sang it the place erupted. The song, written in the 1800¹s, was an anthem for truth and freedom. As we sang the words, my heart was moved. It¹s a call to action. "Be swift my soul to answer Him be jubilant my feet, His truth is marching on", and, "as He died to make men holy let us live to make men free" are a couple of lines that move the soul.
We recorded the song on our last night of worship and it was supposed to be on the "Glory" release but we ran out of time on the CD and cut the song. A few weeks ago I awoke and really felt like we needed to release the song at this critical time. We got the guys together and recorded the tracks, and then drove to Fort Worth to record the Trimble Tech High School Chamber Choir, who did an awesome job. We are so excited about releasing this anthem.
What an incredibly important time in history as we fight for the soul of a nation. The culture is awash in relativism. When economic welfare is more important than truth, we find ourselves in a precarious place. It is men and women of truth and principle that have made this nation great.
Psalm 43:3 says O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your Holy hill and to Your dwelling places.
If ever there was a time when we need God¹s truth and light to shine on us, it is now. We added a bridge to the battle hymn that says, "Send forth Your truth and Your light O God, cover the nation with praise". In a time when there is much uncertainty and fear, this is the time to ask God to guide this nation with light and truth and for us to cover the land with worship.
We want to blast this song out there as far and wide as we can. It is a free download on our site and we are asking you to get the word out to everybody you know. Have them download it and get their friends to do the same. We want the message to inspire at this time.
SEND OUT YOUR TRUTH AND YOUR LIGHT O GOD. YOUR TRUTH IS MARCHING ON AND ON AND ON..FOREVER.
Bless you guys,
Klaus

Just a thought on worship. In the book of Ezekiel, chapter 28, we have this picture of Lucifer before the fall. He had the seal of perfection, was filled with wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Every precious stone was his covering, and he was an instrument of worship. Created to worship. What would happen if you took the most magnificent diamond and placed it in a dark room? Could anybody appreciate its beauty? No, because it was made to reflect the light!! Lucifer was made to reflect the beauty and glory of the Lord. That's what true worshippers do. Instead he chose to exalt and promote himself. This is the spirit of the age where people are exalted and their gifts magnified. It shouldn't be so in worship. Instead we as worshippers ought to reflect the magnificence of God every time we worship. Have you ever watched someone in worship? There is a joy, a glow, a reflection of the beauty of the Lord on their face. When I was the worship leader at CFNI, I loved watching the students as they poured out Praise on Jesus. Beautiful.
Next time you get in the place of worship, remember you are a reflection of His beauty! Shine on!

A lot of songs are thought out and crafted over time. This one just happened in the moment. We were singing "with a crown of thorns you became my king forever" , and at the end of this song (I give You glory), all of a sudden, I think to myself that we were the joy set before Him the day He took the crown. Hebrews 12:2 says that Jesus endured the cross and the shame for the joy that was set before Him. It didn't seem presumptuous in that moment to sing it. He did it so He would have an eternal bride which is you and I, the church. I love spontaneous songs that happen in a Spirit moment. The cool thing was that the band is so used to going out there that we just went for it. As we were singing that, I was inspired to just respond to the Lord and say "You are the joy that is set before me" and the crowd went nuts. There is something amazing about singing that to the Lord. God said to Abraham that "I am your reward". Jesus is the joy and the reward set before us. Anyway, a lot of other things happened in those few minutes which you can hear for yourself. Definitely a great moment in the evening.

Jesus is always calling us higher. He calls us to the joy of living in His presence every day. I remember reading the book "Practicing His Presence" about Brother Lawrence as he spoke about living every moment in His presence regardless of what he happened to be doing at the moment. God always calls us to a higher place of abiding. John Piper says "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied with Him". I love that. There are two streams from which we can drink. The stream of the world's delights and God's stream. At His right hand are pleasures forever, Psalms 16:11. When we run after Him and are satisfied with Him I believe He delights in that. The scripture speaks often of the picture of the bride and bridegroom and if you have ever been around a couple ready to get married, you know they can't stand being apart. That's what I believe is happening to the church as God is releasing more and more worship into the earth. It's the passionate response of His people. Psalms 27:4 says "One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in His temple". Running after Him!!..

Klaus - The first time I heard this song I was in Mexico at a worship Encounter. When we start singing this song, it totally lights the place up. It's called "I Give You Glory". The line that captivated me was "with a crown of thorns, you became my King forever". This is one of the most profound lines I've ever sung in worship. Sometime later, Louie Giglio came to an Encounter event in Mexico. Talking to Louie after the service, he said, "if this song worships as well in English as it does in Spanish, it would be amazing". When we were putting this CD together, I decided to try it out and people immediately loved the song. "I Give You Glory" is written by a young, passionate, Pastor /Worship leader in Mexico named Andres Spyker. Here's his story about the song…..
Andres Spyker - The main line, "I give you Glory", is like my life's theme. I remember the night, when I was 18 years old, running from God, that God showed up in my room, unexpectedly. I had an encounter with the Lord that changed my life forever. God showed me in visions the things He would do through my life, and one thing He said was: "Just always give Me the Glory." A few years later I was playing the piano at my parent's house. I just knew a few chords, four, and that's all the song has! I didn't "write" the song, I was just singing to the Lord playing these chords and I remember saying to myself: "wow, this is cool, I like it." I was the youth pastor at the time and figured I'd try it at a youth meeting, see if it was any good. To my surprise the place exploded in worship. Instantly I knew, this was not something I had created, God had given this song to this generation.

No One is Like You
One of my favorite names of God is "Desire of the Nations". In Hag. 2:7 it says "And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts." I love this picture. I find that it's easy for me to sing "No one is like You" when I start thinking about all the attributes of God. The kingdom is coming in great glory. Yet Jesus is the simple joy of the soul set free. In an hour in which tolerance is being encouraged from every side, I love to say that there is No God like our God, the One true God revealed in the scriptures. The nations don't even know it yet but they are coming and they will sing His song. Wow!....
Song Lyrics
VERSE 1....
Desire of every nation....
The beauty of the whole earth....
The joy of the ransomed soul set free....
How glorious Your majesty....
VERSE 2....
Beautiful Wonderful Savior....
Redeemer the Lamb now King....
The love that has made this heart go free ....
How glorious Your majesty....
CHORUS:
No one is like You ....
No one is like You....
Nations rise to sing Your beautiful song....
No one is like You....
No one is like You....
All Praise belongs to You oh Holy One....
Final Tag:
No one is like you....
No one is like you....
No one is like you....
Holy one....
