Hi there,

Summer is coming and we are taking a little break to write new material and re-group. Rogier our bass player is playing his last show with us this Friday in Burgerweeshuis, Deventer. It will be an awesome show with our friends The Spirit That Guides Us and Among This All. Ticket are 10e and the show starts at 21.00.

A couple of weeks ago we played an awesome show with Alesana and  Fall From Grace in the Melkweg in Amsterdam. Great bands, great guys. Holland
Upcoming we have a lot of nice shows in Holland. Next saturday we are doing 2 shows in one night. First is Almere at 22.00 and then Ridderkerk at 00.30. We hope we don't get stuck somewere so we can do both. Then we have another radio show were we are gonna play accoustic. Tuesday 12th of May turn on your radio at 23.00 for www.paradioopdenhaagfm.nl  One hour of San Andreas playing live, talking bla bla etc.
The same week we are playing a free show in The Hague in Het Paard Cafe. Vincent, our great replacement guitar hero, is playing with his band Last Chance To Dance first around 21.00. We will play next so i hope all youngsters can see us play too. The next day with Alesana and Fall From Grace in the Melkweg. Early show, we play at 19.45 so be sure to be on time. Show is almost sold out so get your tickets on time!!!

Italy
Thanx to the mighty Linea 77 we had a blast in Italy. Both shows were packed with screaming Italian girls and the last show we totally rocked the place. More than 1000 kiddies showed up in Milan and made us feel like superstars (which we are in our minds). Check our Youtube Channel for the great footage. www.youtube.com/sanandreasmusic

The sun is shinning and we are gonna leave soon for a blitzkrieg trip to Italy for 2 shows with the mighty Linea 77 from Italy. Here is an update of what's going on;

UK
In march we did a UK tour. It was fun. It was hard, as always. You can read the whole article here (sorry only Dutch). Our single 'Leave Teddy' is officially released in the UK through i Tunes. Besides that, you can win the single by going to http://www.rockmidgets.com/goodies.php?page=2&id=128 They are running a contest.

Italy
17th and 18th April we are playing with the crossover gods from Italy, Linea 77, www.myspace.com/linea77 in Conegliao and Milano. If you wanna be on the guest list send us a mail asap! Include your name and your mobile phone so we can text you that you will be on the guest list!

Radio Mortale
Last week we did a one hour session at Radio Mortale in Amsterdam. We played 3 acoustic songs, talked about our record and our favorite bands. Upcoming shows
We have some nice upcoming shows in Amsterdam, Leeuwarden and Roelofarendsveen. So we have a lot of news shows coming up. The last shows we did were a blast. People traveled from all kinda places to see us a again. Thanx, that makes us proud. So here is some new news and new shows for you.

UK
In march we are going back for the 5th time in our history! This time we do a tour with our label mates Resonate; great band check their MySpace www.myspace.com/reso  Of course it would be great to see all UK fans again. If you know a good record store in the towns we are playing, let us know if we can do an  acoustic in store. We would love to do that.

Holland
We are now booking new shows for April - June and  of course for the fall of this year. We still are  looking for good support bands. So if you play in  a band, drop us a line and let us know that you  wanna play and from which town you are so we can  set up a show together. Check out the show section. We have a lot of good shows and we are playing with some nice bands (According To You, Fire In The Attic etc)

Plug Your Band (Dutch only)
Normaal doen we niet zo snel mee aan een 'wedstrijd' maar omdat we de omroep LLINK (voor  een betere wereld) tof vinden nu een keer wel. Vooral nu omdat ze voldoende leden moeten hebben  per 1 april, anders gaat daar de steker er uit. Wat moet je doen? Ga naar http://llink.nl/plugyourband/index.php zoek naar  San Andreas en stem op ons. Als je nog geen lid  bent van LLINK moet je eerst lid worden, je  krijgt dan een code (lidmaatschapsnummer) en dan  kan je stemmen. Lid worden kost € 5,73 per jaar. Wie vrijdagavond voor 23.00 de meeste stemmen  heeft wordt gedraait bij het programma Move Your  Ass en wie op vrijdag 20 maart de meeste stemmen heeft mag een optreden doen bij Move Your Ass.  Dus niet alleen steun je dan San Andreas maar ook LLINK. Ken je mensen die al lid zijn, vraag dan hun lidmaatschapnummer. Daarmee kan je ook op ons nummers stemmen. Doen!

Coming up:
So it's 2009 and we have a lot of things coming up. Some will work out, some won't. Besides playing shows in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Holland we want to do another UK tour in March and a Lockjaw Tour in April with Distance In Embrace and The Why Not in Holland, Germany and Italy. We need help for that, so if you know a venue or if you play in a band and want to help out: get in touch with us! As for our shows in Holland, we want to play as much as possible with local bands. If you are in a band and would like to play with San Andreas in your hometown, again: get in touch with us.

AlterSonic Groningen
We will be playing the AlterSonic showcase again during Eurosonic in Groningen on Thursday the 15th of January. Eurosonic is THE showcase festival in Europe and has already been sold out for weeks. We are playing at 23.30 in Café Tramps and the good news is: it will be complete FREE so people without a EuroSonic ticket can see the show! At 17.00 we will do an acoustic session at Plato Record Store, so all people from Grunningen, please show up and support us! We will give away some FREE tickets for the Simplon show (which is the week after AlterSonic) where we are playing together with Believeisadoubt!

4 December: VPRO Club 3voor12 Radio show
We are playing a live radio show in Holland called VPRO 3voor12. Turn on your radio at 24.00 (!) and hear us live play or check the 3voor12 website the next day for the live tracks. After having kicked off our Release Tour in Bibelot last Saturday we went straight to the UK to promote our new album 'Man Or Monster'. The shows that we play here seem to please the crowds a lot. Also our album is doing really well here. We're having a great time here in the UK with our friends and labelmates A New Day.


Even now that we're in the UK, we keep on receiving good news from The Netherlands. It really feels like all pieces are falling into place now. We got a really good review for our new album from Up Magazine which lifted our spirits even more. Also Aardschok was full of compliments. We already knew that we were given 89/100 points, but the credits we received were totally unexpected.

On top of that, we got invited by Melkweg Amsterdam to play with Funeral For A Friend on December 5th. Some more shows have been added to the show list on our website, so you might want to check if we'll play in a venue near you anytime soon.

Reviews from our new album 'Man Or Monster' are coming in and most of them are very positive!! One of Holland's leading music magazines Aardschok rewarded us with 89/100 points in their December edition!
