O.k., a bit silent here on this page in the last few months. That
doesn't mean, we fell asleep! There're of cause some live activities
planned for next year and besides we almost finished songwriting for
the next album. At the moment we work on all these little details that
some people appreciate while most of the folks out there doesn't even
realize, that these details exist. Well, that's life! As a matter
of course the new songs for the sixth album are the best compositions
since the dawn of time and they surely can only be topped by the tracks
which will appear on the seventh one which solely will be outmatched by
the material we...well :)
Another point: Our bass player Kai wants to know if there's anybody who
is interested in a drinking contest! He who pays the piper calls the
tune!

We really get lots of friend requests, maybe 30-40 a day. The sad thing is, that in the last few months everything got a little bit weird... Can anybody explain why almost nobody who sends a request to a band, seems to be interested in their music? I accept friends, I drop them a message or write a comment and all I receive are comments which really have nothing to do with us or sometimes with music at all. The funny thing is that about a year ago this was totally different, so I wonder if MySpace really is too crowded in the meantime.
We also receive lots of messages, I would say about 50-70 a day. There's maybe 1 out of 100 which has something to do with us, our music, whatever... 99,9% are invitations to shows which take place thousands of miles away from our home town. Is there a deeper sense in that and I'm simply not able to recognize that? Don't think so... I mean, I really have no problems if somebody wants to promote a cool band or a show or him or herself, but I think it should make sense in a way!!!
I'm not really interested in visiting a hip hop event in Australia or a show of a cover band in the Bay Area when I live in Germany - you know what I mean?
It seems that most of the people in MySpace have only one aim! To gain as many "friends" as possible. I really ask myself why???
Wish you all a great weekend, anyway :)
Peace Ulle/LANFEAR

Unfortunately our bass player Kai had a little motorcycle accident. He's already doing better but won't be able to play the upcoming shows this weekend. We asked our ex bass player Alexander Palma if he could help us out and he didn't hesitate. We already had a rehearsal together with him and he definitely delivers the goods. No need to be afraid, we look forward to meet you!

Because of reasons beyond our control the show in Vosselaar was cancelled.
The shows in Eindhoven and Essen will take place as scheduled. Only
about 50 km from Vosselaar to Eindhoven, so maybe we'll see you
there...

A little spring-cleaning and now our official page at http://www.lanfear.eu gleams in new splendour.
While you prepare for your personal easter egg hunt, we write some new stuff. As you hopefully expected, we've once again added some new facets and everything sounds a bit more aggressive so far.
Is it the depression which made the tracks more heavy and fast? Are we annoyed by the fact, that even in metal people always seem to listen to the same old shit? Are we possessed, manic, lunatic?
We've no idea but you'll surely find out as soon as the next album is done. Of course we'll also just wait and see.
If there's enough time we're going to put together a nice set for the upcoming gigs with Helstar. Perhaps some of you guys show up - would be nice!

Just because Dreamscape are still searching for a new singer we decided
to postpone the tour. This doesn't affect our gig in Prague, it will
take place according to schedule. We're very sorry for that but it's
off our hands.
As soon as we know the alternate dates you'll find it out right here.
However, some new gigs are confirmed. We look forward to play the Rock
Mania festival on August, 22nd and there'll be some dates at the end of
May . Still have to wait before we can officially announce everything.
Stay as you are!
