I'll have to speak from my point of view....1) being an only child to a single mother & 2) being a father to a son I only see on the weekends.  I remember asking my mother when I was about 8 years old where my dad was and she didn't even hesitate to tell me the truth and that was they weren't together because he was a violent man with a bad temper and when they broke up she tried to give him time with me, but he chose not to want to be apart of my life.  Simple & effective.  No embelishments, one sided victomolgy, villifiing of him,.....nothing but the facts mam.  So I keep it 100 with my kids the same way, I tell them whatever they need to know in plain english even if that makes me look bad.  If I did something I don't want them to repeat in their lives, I tell them so they know I'm not bullshittin' them, (kids smell bullshit a mile away).  Anyway I tell of that because I don't believe in lying to your kids about how the world works so they really know what it'll take to make it in life and not just materially.  I try never to let my youngest witness or hear me say anything what so ever about his mother so that he's free to love her & me separately and equally, I think I owe him that so that he'll know how to love when he's a man.  I don't believe that you should include your children in your relationship problems with your significant other because it forces them to take sides and start lying to BOTH parents about what the other says, and it forces them to take alliances with one over the other and you end up raising a deceitful, unfaithful, person who can't seem to keep a relationship together because they were not taught to keep it true.  It's one thing to know YOU'RE fucked up in the head, its another when you're raised by someone fucked up in the head!  Let your kids see what's fucked up about you, but don't act like its cool, tell them you're wrong and shouldn't have done whatever, and please don't tear down their parent regardless of the reason just because you're not together anymore, they identify with BOTH of you.  If one has a problem or addiction/whatever don't hammer that fact in so deep into your child's head (along with the occasional "sorry ass bitch/punk" remark) that THAT'S what they start to identify with because if you plant the seed that might be what you raise.  A drug addict, criminal, etc. I want my 3 boys to see and hear that their father did everything possible to give them love and the ability to give love to the people in their lives.  Sometimes things don't workout, but you still have to be the same person to your kids regardless, my boys have seen me angry, hurt, etc. but they've never wondered if I ever wanted to see them again, never wondered if I still love them.  They know it has nothing to do with them and can come give daddy a hug to try to make him feel better (haha).  So mom's don't tear down your baby daddy to your son's, that's who they identify with, if your tear down the father you tear down the son, same for the single fathers with daughters those 2 dynamics I feel are the most sensitive.  Let's keep it 100 with our kids so they even know what that means in the future.

It amazes me how the haves always have advice for the have nots, how to books (that they charge for), seminars (that they charge for), financial advice (yep...chi ching!), etc.  Look at this financial mess our advisers have led us to and blame on the poor, the financially irresponsible, the greedy, and the just plain clueless.  There's one truth to our society.......if you need help or funding for anything, these so-called advisers will make it harder than need be to "weed out the unscrupulous", but if you appear to be doing well and need funding they'll throw money at whatever project your proposing.  And that's how the housing market, business lending,  & investing markets got this way, it wasn't the single parent trying to buy their first house, it was the lenders/investors who wanted to cash in on the new market of sub-prime loans.  My question has always been why is this burden laid on the home owner in trouble and not the lender?  Who wouldn't want to own a house, and if someone tells you all they need is a down payment regardless of your credit history and they can put you in a home for your family, wouldn't you take it?  Putting that aside, the problem as I see things is that there hasn't been an investment into WE the PEOPLE in too long a time, its always been invest in the quick turnaround, invest in big corporate funds/CD's/money market accounts, and trust that your advisers will do the right thing with the profits.  How's that been working out?  All I see is "Chickens coming home to roost", for every small business owner who was turned down for a legitimate loan to start or expand there probably was 100 sub-prime home loans made by the same banks and since this is probably a low estimate, why is it surprising that banks are closing/merging at record paces.  Your advisers told you to not panic and take your money out the market(s), while that's exactly what THEY did!  They put their money in the Caymans, Swiss accounts, etc. using the average persons funds as a smoke screen, so do me a favor when you see these money guru's on TV call in and ask them who pays their salaries, then ask if you're paid by credit companies and investment firms.........who are you really looking out for? 

I love to talk to anyone who know's my music and tells me what they like about a certain track, so it was real nice hearing from someone who heard and "loved" (I might add) an underground joint I did ("Vegas Hustler") with Mike "The Don" Giovanni and featuring Marty Rogers on guitar saying that my song "felt" like Vegas, was "like a soundtrack of Vegas Night life from a distinct point of view".  Damn I wish that was in a CD review somewhere.......hell anywhere, well this persons comments were what I think would be any songwriter's desire......to have someone experience your music not just listen to it, to understand.......
I love old Curtis Mayfield songs like "Pusher Man" especially so I wanted to write a song from that perspective, the Hustler, the P.I.M.P., the "after hours after ours hour", Vegas at night "for real" so I put it back on my page and I invite everyone to check it out for the first time.......again for some and tell me what you think and/or YOUR critique, thanks.

When the last old fart leaves this country we can all breath a sigh of relief!  All of these Obama haters are just silly, if Obama is elected nothing could be better for our country....NOTHING!  McCain is living in the past as well as most of his supporters, is anyone paying attention to Russia, North Korea, Iran, China?  They are watching our election more than we are, our arrogance toward the world is not going overlooked except by our media, we cannot keep pushing our way of life on the world, we need to be more self reliant and get off that "Make the world a Democracy" crap because we look like hypocrites to them and soon we'll be looked at as a threat.  That's why other countries are developing their own nuclear weapons because that's the club we like to use to threaten them with, you can't just dictate to other governments what we want them to do and not create problems.  That's the new way of doing things Obama wants to bring into our foreign policy, speak to other leaders as equals before we finally write a check that our asses can't cash and somebody pulls our card......WAKE UP PEOPLE, OUR ENEMIES ARE NOT AFRAID OF US!  They're not stupid, weak, or blind.  They're waiting & watching to see if we've grown up yet so get out and VOTE!!!!!!!!

There's one true fact that I don't think anyone can argue concerning who would be a better leader.  Mrs. Clinton has shown that her temper and/or ego gets the better of her too often to seriously be considered someone who should lead our country, she's made untrue and ugly comments about Mr. Obama because she can't stand to lose to a black man and it's as simple as that.  When Obama has been more than a gentlemen toward her even after she made the Bobby Kennedy assassination comment and it wasn't a mistake as she said later because she said the same thing back in March, it just didn't get the coverage it got in May when she pulled it back out.  Even in debates she's gotten personal for no reason and excitable when she felt a perceived slight, that's not a person I want in charge of my future, if the U.S. wants to change the ugly view other countries have of us the best and most logical choice would be Obama, we're not fooling anyone but ourselves when we think this country hasn't been looked upon as the aggressor in our foreign politics, so let's not play victims anymore and join the rest of the world in our tolerance of other races and ethnicity's.  Can't we all just get along? ha ha

How many flyer's do you get out and about, on your windshield, at the mall, at another club, etc. that have beautiful bikini clad beauties on them?  I get a lot, on myspace especially, invites  to events, and to CHECK OUT SOMEONE ONES MUSIC.  My opinion......I LOOK AT EACH AND EVERYONE, no hatin' over here players, do what you do!  I don't buy Lowrider magazine just for the classics either, music, clothing, hell even advertising for TOOLS, CHAINSAWS, RIMS, TIRES, PLASTIC SURGERY, should I continue?  So why some people seem to have problems with anyone trying to get you to hear their music using pics of gorgeous women, I DON'T, I'll click right on that pic and go check your shit out (and look for other pics too), what if the music is better than expected?  What if it's the best you never heard?  Keep putting up pics of beautiful women and I'll keep clicking on 'em, so all you hater's pedaling your weak ass music as "true hip hop" keep doing your thing too, maybe someone will eventually hear what you have to offer.....MAYBE, otherwise you better be doing a hell of a lot of shows (probably for free no less) to get people to hear what's poppin' in your camp.  Personally I'm not giving away shit to anybody so the only way your going hear my music for free is to come check out my page or 4LBS Entertainment's (www.myspace.com/4lbsentertainment )page, or Quanee's page (www.myspace.com/qboogie702) maybe you'll buy a CD, maybe not, but you'll hear my music see some pics, and tell a friend, that's all any artist wants......TO BE KNOWN, and I have love for both sides of the game.  I'm just partial to the pages with profile pics of gorgeous women on them, not some dude showing off his abs.....but that's just me.

I really hate the type of men that give women every excuse to fuck around on their current relationship and think that shit is being a player.  That's the lowest form of game spitting a man can do and it's the easiest, so that's why it's so popular.  Their current man shouldn't even come into the discussion and if it does a REAL man will address it head on, like "I didn't ask you about your man, I asked if you'd like to go out with me", don't sit there and listen to their relationship problems and then go for the sympathy fuck, that shit is whack for real.  Don't play that game of everything she tells you that's wrong with her man, you would never do that to her, or "if he can't see how special you are he's crazy", or, "you should be treated like a queen and that's just how I'd treat you", a woman should see YOU and want to get with that, not thinking about getting back at her man that she's going back to after you two bone it out for awhile anyway.  She should make a clear decision that she's rolling with YOU tonight not the "anti-venom" to a fucked up relationship, because when she gets over her pain which they will and most of the time decide that their relationship isn't that bad, and that she really does love the man she's with, she's going to look at what you did and the decisions she made, and TELL HER MAN!  Then you have a potential problem on your hands, bottom line the more you keep it real with a female, even if its a fucked up point of view, the more respect she has to give you because you were fully conscious in what you were doing and made sure that she was too.  None of that, "it just happened, I slipped and just fell on his dick", "it meant nothing to me, he was just some guy I met at the bar", and it'll definitely keep you and/or her from getting fucked up by her jealous and/or deeply hurt boyfriend/husband.  I can't tell you how many stories I've read or seen on the news about some woman getting her new lover and possibly herself fucked up or killed because she said "he ain't shit, he's a bitch, you could whoop him easy", DON'T BELIEVE THAT SHIT, because at some point and time she loved that fools dirty drawls and there was a reason for that.  Respect given is respect due, quit playing with these girls and keep it real.
